I used to use skvalex call recorder, awesome app...
skvalex does not work on my not rooted xt1039.
too bad
I have tried about dozen of apps, none of them was working on stock Moto G without root. So I guess that we have to root our devices to gain call recording feature.
Moto g surprising phone! Let's wait till lollipop to root. It will have changes as a major release.
We may have api to route audio via app even if hardware unsupported. It's not that difficult in my opinion.
ACR app Dev NLL says:
Moto G*has stopped 2 way*call recording*support with Android KitKat*...
The only way to record is to keep speaker phone on. This is not our mistake. Please increase our star rating.
The playstore clearly says "This app is not compatible with your devices"
So let's wait till lollipop as I said before.
My question is did it work before KitKat? I heard someone say the moto g hardware does not support call recording.

Hi,
I'm using Cerberus to control and protect my Moto G.
When you activate the GPS tracking over the cerberus dashboard, everytime the warning message of the google location service pops up.
This is not very clever in the case a thief holds your moto in his hands and this message is popping up.
I asked the developers of cerberus and they aren't able to bypass that.
I read in another thread on xda (click ) that you have to deactivate/delete the app "LearningClient.apk" from "/system/app". But unfortunately this app doesn't exist on our moto.
So how can i get rid of this message ? Hope that anybody has an idea. :good:
Btw:
My moto is rooted, stock kernel, CWM. The cerberus app is integrated into the rom. Google location service/history are always activated.
Thanks in advance
There is a xposed module for it. Never used it my self

Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately this module isn't working with Kitkat. :crying:

Hey guys,
I was interested in this field and was wondering how exactly you were leveraging root permissions to actually capture the system audio? This would be super helpful for me - if you wouldn't mind sharing some of your sources it would be much appreciated.
Hey,
Just asking, what does this App do? Any Screenshots? Link to Google Play?
Gesendet von meinem A0001 mit Tapatalk
iirc it lets you stream your system audio over dlna to something like a sonos speaker or upnp device. along with some other less important stuff, check on the playstore com.nav.aoaservice

Very cool that AOA is now free. I like the simplicity of the app -- just redirecting audio to RAOP device on network. Plays well with XBMC/Kodi on Raspberry PI and Airmusic NW11 Airplay/DLNA box.
It works well for me with AOSP (OmniROM) but just seems to pipe noise from HTC Sense ROM (HTC M7 Dev Edition). Does Sense use a non-standard audio stack?
Thank you for this free app. It seems to work well for me as a solution of piping Xbox music pass to my Denon. Only thing I wish it did which another paid app does is send song track info to the airplay device, perhaps it specifically knows how to hook into the Xbox music app for this info, it just works automagically. Would be super if this could get added at some point but isn't critical.
Are people finding their devices just by hitting the magnifying glass? I'm not finding anything, and when I go to the settings and add a device manually, I've got no idea what port number I should choose.
Can anyone help me out?
Many thanks.

How does the device-search perform if you use "AirAudio" instead?
I've been using aoaroot for a few months. Its recently been pulled from play store and I keep getting warnings that its dangerous and to uninstall. Can anyone shed light on the situation? Ive contacted the developer but have not gotten a response yet.

Same here. I ended up uninstalling the app. Any response from the dev?
Not yet, I've uninstalled AOA and bought AllCast instead. It works just as well for me.

WE have confirmation!
Just receieved a reply from the developer. He explained that he has been overseas with no access to his email.
This is what he said about it being banned from the play store:
The app does NOT modify any system files and will not harm your device.
On Android 5.0, SELinux is enabled by default, which will make injectso fail, to make injectso work, the app temporary disable SELinux, launch injectso, then re-enable SELinux immediately , This happens at startup of the app and only lasted a 3 seconds, it should not cause any harm to your device. Unfortunately Google use this as an excuse for violating their developer's terms and have banned this app from playstore.

Force closes on Marshmallow. Anyone got a fix?
This seems to me, misleading, I was thinking this was Android Open Accessory (AOA)

Still looking for a Marshmallow fix on my Nexus 7 2012, as this is just the best thing and free. Or, are there any other free alternatives to this app?
Pity it's not in development any more.
With selinux in permissive the app works for me in M.

Hi!
How did you reach him? The apps (neither SELinux enabled or disabled) not working for me. I use MIUI 8, android 6.
I am trying to enable AOA on my s6 edge android 7.0 installed, for the Sony Auto teyp dsx-a110u for days. And I could not do anything.
Is this a solution for me? Or is there any other solution?
Dear Friends,
I recently bought OPO with CM 12.1 . I also have Redmi Note 4G , which has an excellent Auto Call Recorder with White list. It arranges all the Call Records Logs Date Wise and you can sort them as contact wise as well. Quality of the recording is just impeccable. Do we have any Mod for OPO which provides such service.
I know we have apps like Auto Call Recorder etc. but some times they get stopped at the background and i happened to miss some important Call Records before. Please enlighten me if there is a way out already been published
BTW , my OPO is rooted with TWRP and Xposed Framework working.

I moved from Galaxy A50 to One Plus, and am missing the phone app that had call recorder bundled into it. Does any ROM here have Phone app with such a feature? If it is there, can you please upload the Phone APK. I mean even if anyone publishes the default app apks, that too is fine. Thanks in advance.
**Update** Thank you all for your comments so far. I have now tried Call Recorder by Skvalex and recording "works" but on my unrooted device it's clearly using the microphone to record both sides. Quality is ok, here is a link to my sample recording https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-nbKtZHSsf5g_qlFLP7wYzcm-nwwwRZd/view?usp=drivesdk
I would prefer inline recording so I'm now considering rooting **/update**
I'm looking to purchase the pixel 7 pro but call recording is important to me. Please no debates over the legality/morals of call recording.
Can anyone confirm if call recording is possible and how it is done? Ideally I want line recording from both sides.
I'm currently using a Xiaomi Mi Note 10 with Call Recorder by Skvalex and it works fine. I like the software by Skvalex and have been using it for years (about 7 years I think) so would like to continue using it on my new phone if possible. Although any software that works would be fine
I would rather not root the phone as banking apps and warranty are important to me.
Thanks in advance,
Oliver
it works via Cubeacr without root.
But my phone is rooted - I use skvalex.
The warranty is not affected and bank applications and google pay work fine after root.
I also use skvalex with root. All banking apps work and it passes safety net...

Yeah just tried it and it seems to work
Wish it had a manual mode, since i need to record on demand which is only 15% of my calls. This module records all calls which introduces an extra step of deleting the unwanted recordings ever so often but hey, it works better than using googles way which is really primitive. BCR also connects to your contacts helping you save the recordings with the contact name which is better than the guessing game.
Im pleased with it.

BCR is available via GitHub or Fox's magisk module manager.
Installed the BCR v1.23 by chenxiaolong via the Magisk Module but still the google dialer is not showing a recording option on my Pixel 7pro rooted device. Any recommendations. Am aware about the skvalex recorder but prefer the BCR basic.

I'm not sure BCR really integrates into Google Dialer but is rather a separate recording app.... if you want to enable the built-in call recording in Google dialer you can use e.g. this mod

BCR records independently and won't show a record button. It will record all phone calls which then you can access in the /mnt/user/0/self/primary/Android/data/com.chiller3.bcr/files

Installed this mod and after that it keeps getting stuck probably because of overwrite of files. Had BCR already installed and still proceeded to install the Google dialer mod. Restarted the phone about 7-8 times and still getting stuck so roves both the
The phone simply restarts on its own every 2 minutes. Deleted all the latest apps installed, also uninstalled and reinstalled the phone dialer app and installed the public version on my rooter pixel 7pro. Need some solution as this has happened due to overwriting of files.
Hmm, the mod works just fine here. Not sure what you mean by overwritten files. Did you do any changes systemlessly (via Magisk) or did you really change files in the system partitions ?
Its difficult to judge the best approach on how to fix this without exact knowledge what you did and how the phone behaves. You could try reflashing the currently installed ROM - just take care you disable any options that either wipe data or relock the bootloader, depending on the way you install the ROM. Such a dirty flash should leave all your data intact, but to be safe I would make sure everything important is backed up somewhere
This behavior is happening on my new phone and the data still exists on the old phone so am safe for now. Just simply Magisk and i had BCR file and on top of that i installed the google dialer mod. I guess there wld have been compatibility issues. Stuck.

It seems, Cube ACR is the only app to go when not rooted? Subsrciption needed? Which Store, or site, please?
The other folks here should *please* at least mention whether their phone is on root or not, to keep OP's topic.

Yes, Cube ACR worked for me probably the best of all the ones I tried before I rooted. Downloaded from the play store and I think I also paid something. But the quality cannot be compared with SKVALEX after root.
