This is not a ROM, It is only the Deodexed Stock System Folder, for those who wish to make some Custom ROMs or want to edit their Stock System files, but are unable to do that due to .odex files. Here all odex files are removed and classes.dex files are introduced in their .apk. Which helps developers make make ROMs and people to edit and develop things.

The zip contains a system folder. Using a Root Explorer replace your stock System folder with the system folder present inside this zip file. And then reboot your device. By this method you will have a deodex Stock System in your device.

If you want to get this deodexed system into your device then just copy "app" and "framework" folder from this zip file and paste and replace these folders into your system's "system" folder using Root Explorer...
Or you can do one more thing. Download a Custom ROM for Xperia C and then place this system folder (from this thread) into that ROM zip file and flash the ROM...

Apologize in advance, With file copying deodex one by one to the ODEX file, what will not have bootloop? And what files should I move to ODEX file? What only app folder and the folder framework? Or is there another folder should I move to folder ODEX?

The only thing you have to do is to copy the "app" and "framework" folder from the zip that you download from this thread and paste them into the "system" folder of your mobile phone (replace the preexisting folder). You can do this using app called Root Explorer

Just open yhe system folder of your mobile using Root Explorer application and there you will find the "app" folder and "framework" folder delete those folders. (DO NOT RESTART YOUR DEVICE AFTER THIS). Then open the zip file that you will download from this thread. In that zip file you will find a folder named system and inside it you will find a folder named "app" and a folder named "framework" copy these folders and place them into your mobile's system using the same Root Explorer file. Now Restart your device.

Yes it is inaccessible from local storage to access it you need root. If you have any file manager eg Ex file explorer locate to root then data/media/0/twrp now it will be accessible and you will be able to see all your stuffs i.e backups, etc. Hope it helped you out.

Happy to know that it helped you ?
You can use a USB stick with OTG and make a backup directly from TWRP (last variant), so you can easy move your backup where you want.
1.First go to your root browser (Es File Explorer recommended)
2. Go to system/app and search app and delete all files of those app
3. Go to data/data and search app and delete all files of those app again
4. REBOOT your device DONE............
Thanks
Hi,
This would be a more suitable place to post basic Android Information, http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general
I will say though, this is very basic information and common knowledge for most. Up to you if you want to post there though.

Hi guys
I have downloaded some APK's from the internet and I'm trying to flash them from a zip archive I flash alongside the Lineage OS using TWRP.
The zip archive contains the update script, binary files and two directories 'system' and 'data' with their respective apps folder containing the APK's.
The actual flash process itself is successful without TWRP throwing out any errors, but when I try to open the apps after the OS has booted they simply crash. I have tried to install the system apps to '/system/app' and '/system/priv-app' directories but it makes no difference, and with the data apps they indefinitely crash no matter what.
I can rule out the APK's being the problem because enabling the 'install unknown apps' option under settings and installing the same APK's they install perfectly fine.*
I need to find a solution to this as I often install Lineage OS to multiple devices and being able to install the*OS and app installations in bulk is a great timesaver. If you're wondering why I need to install the apps into the system partition it's because I need the apps to persist in the event of a factory reset.*
Could someone shed some light on this please?
Many thanks
Will

There's 2 big reasons why the apps may crashing...
First, The app wasn't designed to be a system app. The crashing of the apps are one way for this to be apparent.
Second, if the app is capable of being a system app, then it may be tied to the permissions for the apps Directory and/or apk files themselves. They will crash if they don't have the appropriate system reflected permissions.
One last thing for you to try if it's none of the above...
When you initially install your Firmware and others, leave out those additional zip files for the apps in question.
Once your device is booted up, and you have complete the initial setup, entering TWRP again and flashing those additional apps zip file and then reboot should do it.
Certain additional flashes won't work if they're not integrated within the Firmware nor designed for the initial setup process but, after the initial flash and the setup process after its first boot, entering TWRP for flashing those apps MAY/MIGHT work out for you.
I hope that I had explained this okay via text...
Good Luck!

Is there a way to set the permissions of the directory and APK's in TWRP using the update script?

The best way to show you is to provide an example of the updater-script file attached.
I just used one of the Stock browsers called "Gello.apk" (I don't actually use).
Look at the script and you'll see the Set Permissions line.
I hope that it helps you out...

From opening the script I have noticed that the permissions have been set for the APK itself. The update script I previously used had permissions for the containing directory but not the files themselves.
What I'll do now to test this all is try flashing the ROM, booting it up and then flash my additional apps.
The weird thing is OpenGApps installs perfectly fine alongside Lineage OS when flashed together in TWRP and they all get installed to the System partition. Is there any way I can see the permissions used so that I can see what permissions they use?
Additionally if I were to flash some apps to the Data partition, am I wise to use the exact same permissions used on the System partition for the Data one?
Many thanks

I've found the culprit to why the apps are crashing.
To cut a long story short I gave myself root privileges so that I could gain access to the '/data' directory and I looked inside it and there was only the .apk file itself.
I decided to reinstall the .apk found in one of the directories using the built-in package installer and low and behold inside the new directory two new directories called 'oat' and 'lib' have been made.
I did a test by moving the the 'lib' directory out of one of the app folders '/data/app/app_name' and the app did crash (as expected) trying to launch it. After restoring it the app can open again.
This odd behaviour of the app folders not containing the 'lib' and 'oat' directories' is present across both the '/system/app' and '/data/app' directories.
Has anyone got any suggestions why the directories are not being created when flashing the apps via recovery?
Many thanks
Will
