Hi,
I flashed yesterday Android Lollipop on my N5 and I found out a "problem" for my use.
I am using some applications like llama, lux and UP which have persistent (or ongoing, I don't know the exact term) notifications (to be not killed I presume). My issue here is that these notifactions are displayed on my lockscreen and it is taking space for nothing.
Before I was using "slidelock", which is a lockscreen app and these persistent notifs were not displayed on the lockscreen but were still on the status bar.
Is there a way to have the same behavior?
I saw this: http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...ent-notifications-on-lollipop-lockscreen?rq=1
but it completely removes the notification on the status bar, so I am not sure the app is still running.
In the settings under Sound & notification, you can block notifications under App notifications. Just go to the persisting app and turn the slider off.
Thanks but it is quite the same solution given in my link.
I wanted to know if there is a way to keep these persistent notifications in the status bar but not displaying them in the lockscreen.
In your solution, I am not sure that the apps are still running.

One of the options you have for the Lock screen is to hide "Sensitive" notifications. If you turn that on, and then go into the Notification settings and set the apps in question as "Sensitive", they should still come up in the status bar, but not in the lock screen I think
Already done that and it doesn't behave the way I would like..
Thanks anyway for your help.
I think it is just impossible to keep an app in the status bar and not displaying it in the lockscreen.
Hm I'd like to do the same with Tasker. Shame.
I noticed something: Light Flow (LED notification manager) and google Now have both some kind of persistent notifications but they are not showing up in the lockscreen but they are still there when you are pulling down the notifications tab.
So I searched in app's settings for llama and lux, and both have settings like "persistent notification but no icon". I think this way, the app is not killed.
I was wondering about this also, for me it is the BBM app, it needs to be persistent but I would love for it not to show on the lock screen.
I know there are some apps that let you turn off the persistent notification but the app is still running, BBM doesn't have that though.

What this does, is still show in lockscreen, but hides the "text"
Yeah, I got around to trying it - Real shame you can't hide them altogether.
I have the same problem. Im using tasker and screeble. Both should be in the notification bar - but not on the lockscreen.
A shame that its not possible (?!), my old rom could do it :/
I managed to do this with Tasker, by choosing the "invisible" Notification Icon (the first one) under Settings -> Monitor tab. I also have "Run in Foreground" and "Notification Action Buttons" enabled with "Custom Notification Layout" set to none.

Pretty sure this is done by setting the notification priority to MIN.

Problem is, it's up to the developers to implement this.

For Llama go to Settings -> Notification Mode and set it to "Ongoing notification (no icon)"
For Lux go to Settings -> Advanced -> Notification visibility and set it to "Lowest (no icon)"
I tried this and it works. Notifications for both apps are still available in the notification pull down but do NOT appear on the lock screen.

No, it's still in the status bar -- it's also in the notification shade, but I want it there.

I'm proud to present my new app: Notification Toggle.
With this app, you can place different toggles into your Android status/notification bar for quick access without having a dozen toggle-widgets on your homescreens
You can choose which toggles to display in the settings of the app. You can also change the color of the icons as well as the icons completly to fit your systems design.
The app is for free in the Play Store, would be nice to get some feedback
Download
Some notes:
not every toggle will work on every device: especially the flashlight functionallity is very erratic and every manufacturer implemented it somehow different. you should install TeslaLED in addition to notification toggle
some settings aren't changeable by user apps, so it will bring you directly to the android settings (like GPS since Android 2.3)
if have a rooted device, you can install the app in /system/app to directly toggle GPS even on Android 2.3+ Click here for more information
Issues with the TalkBack service? See here
Some nice icons: (you can also use this app on Android 2.3+ to download the icons)

works well on my G1 with SuperE.
if i find any bugs, i will let you know
Works great, needs some theme support or basic coloring of the icons would be great,
Any chance that we can change stuff straight from the status bar, without having the pop-up menu like in CM7 status bar,
i think thats only possible in the latest android version. i dont think it will support anything lower than froyo for that feature

yeah, some skinning stuff is on my to-do list... edit: icons are now changable through menu -> skin
toggling without the pop-up is possible on some devices (e.g. on a htc legend with stock rom) but on most it handles only one click-event per notification. unfortunately it seems not to be possible for user apps to change that
Nice work. I'm just curious why you can't directly toggle GPS when something like SwithPro can.
well, there might be some hacks to somehow toggle the GPS, but the official google API doesn't allow you to do that.
actually, android itself turns the GPS off is no app is using it. so google intention is that you let the gps settings enabled and let the system handle turning it on and off
Working great on my LG G2X o
The app works well, except the flashlight (which was the main reason I downloaded the app) does not work for me at all. It's a Samsung Galaxy S (Fascinate on Verizon). The phone DOES have a flash, but no change when I toggle.
great works with my hd2 with ud 3.3
Is the toggle for 3g included?
Just gave it a try on my LeeDroid (2.4) Desire, works quite well
The lack of Power Control Widgets in the notification bar has been one of the major things stopping me from moving to the Gingerbread LeeDroid build, this may just make me move on over
Sorry - i found the 3g/Data toggle ;-)
Buy the way - realy great app!!!
Looks great, I'm about to try it out.
The marker screenshot shows that there's no percentage display for adjusting brightness. Would be great if I could actually see how much % of brightness I set!
i recently changed from a gingerbread sense rom to a nexus S rom on my HD2
I much preferred it but the only thing i was missing was notification toggle....NOW i have again thank you very much!
One thing I would like is if notifications could appear ABOVE the settings rather than below it- if this is possible?
Thanks mate! This solves the only downside of this ROM!
Sent from my Optimus 2X using XDA App
Why would you use this over Widgetsoid? Just curious and wondering I should switch or not.
Somthimes you find a app wich should have been part of Androide, and this is such a app!
1 thing im missing is the posibility to toggle betwen no sound AND no vibrate or Normal. Now you can only toggle betwen Normal and Vibrate.
Just tried it on my Legend: works great.
Here's a couple of suggestions though :
Would be nice if the icons were grey whenever it's off. For example, if my WiFi is turned off, the icon would be grey, and black when it's turned on.
I also believe you can toggle GPS directly. Oh, and by the way, when I click on GPS my phone shows the security (lock screen and stuff) settings instead of the GPS settings.
I would love a Battery icon (with percentage) and a volume control shortcut.
Anyway, thanks for all your work
Flashlight doesn't work on Motorola Defy with Pays v3.3. With Widgetsoid it does.
Can't 4-5 toggles be put in a row, something similar with power controls widget?
Corgi Locker: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.swipe.android&hl=en
Floatify: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jamworks.floatify&hl=en
I found a way to make your lockscreen look completely like stock Android with fingerprint unlock, without compromising your device security, using apps called "Corgi for Feedly News Magazine" and "Floatify". The Corgi locker can be a lock screen that shows news of your interests, or a completely stock looking lock screen, if you choose to turn off the news feature of it. Floatify is an app that can show customized notifications on your stock lockscreen (and small toast notifications that appear from the top of your screen), like Nougat themed ones even when you are running an older Android version
Floatify works on a stock lockscreen only, but in this case, if you set Corgi Locker to fingerprint security, it only creates an overlay of the AOSP looking lockscreen over your real lockscreen. Your real lock screen is still below, and your device is having the security of a real system-level fingerprint lock while having a customized lock screen, and it allows Floatify to give you completely stock Nougat themed lock screen notifications on any Android version without root

Guide:
1. Download both apps, Corgi Locker and Floatify
2. In Corgi Locker, go to settings, and disable "Hot News Widget", also you can choose the wallpaper as "Home wallpaper"
3. In Corgi settings, change security to "fingerprint" if it isn't already, and if you aren't already using a system-level fingerprint unlock, it will prompt you to enable real system fingerprint unlock method (do it)
4. Open Floatify, and go along the setup process, when it has 2 tick boxes for notifications and lock screen, if you want to, you can only choose to keep lock screen enabled. This way you won't change anything else, you won't have boxes appearing on top of your screen when receiving notifications
5. Once you have went through the setup process, you should be in a tile menu with 8 different colored tiles. Here, head over to "Style", and tap "Themes", and select "Android N", and disable "Shadow" at the bottom
6. Go back to the tile menu, and tap "Heads-up", then tap "Position", then under "Position on lock screen", tap "Position" and change it to "Center". Now drag the "Position Offset (Y)" slider to 7%
7. Setup is done, check if your lockscreen works :good:
I'm in no way affiliated by Corgi Locker (or Floatify), it's just the only app I've ever found that looks completely stock and works as an overlay to the real secure lockscreen, and thus completely secures your phone from stealing (people can't simply boot to safe mode and delete the custom locker). If you have any problems, leave a reply and I'll help :good:
Edit: Tip: By changing the window animation scale to 0x in developer settings, you can get rid of the iOS-like zooming animation of icons and other things when unlocking your display. And if you are using Nova Launcher, you can set wallpaper scroll option in settings to "force" to get rid of the wallpaper zooming when unlocking your phone, because with the force setting, the wallpaper is rendered by a Nova API, and not by the phone system that will add a zooming effect to it (if you have these zooming animations, they only exist on GraceUX)

If you mean peeking (or heads up) then disable them in notification settings. If you're running stock TW Nougat 7.0 then you have to use adb to turn off stock peeking
When I swipe up on the new lockscreen, it vanishes and my old system one appears. Is there a way to fix that?
Thanks for this!!
I will try this out soon. I am a little confused about the Floatify Settings.

Just installed and purchased premium version. Finally a real quick setting to swipe from the bottom of the screen wich look like an android feature and not an Apple copy. Working great so far, just tested it for few minutes. Just one feature request : would it be possible to add the blue light filter toggle in your app ? In my galaxy A3 2017 it's native and i would like to be able to toggle it from bottom quick setting app.

Hi, it seems very interesting.
How does it work with Navigation bars (Oreo style, Google style)? What about with gestures, like on the OnePlus? Thanks.

With the regular navigation bar it will work fine. The panel handle will show just above it.
Devices with swipe up gestures that are built in at the bottom of the screen will still work fine, but the quick setting panel may also get swiped up at the same time.
However I added a customisation section in the app which lets you choose the handle width, height and position which helps get around this.
For example, the attachment on this post shows the handle positioned at the bottom right of the screen so that the quick setting panel wont open when performing a swipe up gesture on gesture navigation bars.
It's pretty decent. But about $1.00 too much. I bought PowerShade a month ago for $1.99 and it has a trigger so I can't justify buying this right now. However, it is very fast and practical. Especially if you have a large phone. Nice job!

thanks for this!!!
Can you add option for app info when long pressing app icon?
Great app. What's the difference betweeen miui-ify and bottom quick settings? Just the theme off them?
Also, notifications comes a little slower with a little animation. Can't we disable that animation?

MIUI-ify has a free trial so that you can try out all the features.
It's also designed to be cleaner and has a few more features.
The notification animation can't be disabled.
Great app thanks ?

Is bqs has the same animation? If so, can you add an option to disable?
I liked both apps. They're great. Great job. ??
Does this drain the battery?
Cool app. But as an user of the paid-version of bottom quick settings I ask myself: Do I have to pay again? Maybe some Discount In-App Purchase Button from the BQS App? ?

It shouldn't drain the battery at all.

There was originally a discount option, but I'm trying to find out what works best.
Download version 1.0 from here and the discount is on the purchase screen:

@TomBayley1, can you make it where we are able to select icons or change icons for URL tiles ? That would be awesome. I have quite a few URL tiles, then maybe I can consider to hide tile text to make it neater, but I can't do it now as all the URL icons look alike.

I'm actually working on another app unrelated to BQS and MIUI-ify that does this.
When I've finished it, I'll be able to port over the functionality

:good:
1) I'm missing the persistent voice activation notification icon. How do I get it back? I hid it & cannot recall how to unhide it.
2) can you put a voice activation toggle as a switch so it is not a persistent notification?
3) I see no way to set my stupid Bixby button as a trigger to turn on the voice feature, can that be done?
I don't have any option to "Don't Show Again" when the notification about "Capturing the screen from now on ..." pops up. There used to be checkbox in BQS, but not in MIUI-ify.
I am using MIUI Rom ...
Hi i've got the premium release, in the last update ( with root and adb permission) i don't see any bug. Play/pause toggle works with Spotify, airplane mode now switch without linking to the setting Page. Very good work

If you have shortcuts for these things then you can add them to the panel as a shortcut.

The popup comes from Android not the app. I can't do anything about that

I see, I didn't know it was from Android. It's ok, I just removed the screenshot tile and no more Prompt.
Hi Dev, I really love your apps. I ve bought both your apps to support you. But there re 2 issue.
1. Can you make the handle appear on both side of screen to make it one hand operation friendly.
2. From the begining (from early version to now, both BQS and MIui-fy), sometime it takes 2 3 second to open an app when i hit a shortcut. Please fix that, it really annoying
Thank you
Hello, miui-ify is a great app, I really love it.
But just to know, is there a possibility to make it on top, replacing the default one?
Mi Control Center
Bring a Miui 12 style Control Center to any device,
then customize it to the extreme

Mi Control Center will change the way you use your phone. Separate your quick settings from your notifications.
Swipe down from the left of the status bar to read your notifications
and from the right side to control your device settings and perform meaningful actions.
Trigger areas can be customised as you wish.
You can change your phone to MIUI and iOS design very easily and in few steps,
then configure everything to your preference.
Let me know if you have any suggestions below.
can you make it also possible to pull up from bottom to get notifications and settings
thanks it's great app

This is possible with an Edge Trigger (inside app main settings).
Looks cool I installed (and tried) it but I feel like I like the stock control panel on One UI 2 more. I'll keep using the stock one (at least for now)
hide system status bar
Hello, you should add ADB command to hide system status bar, so they never overlap.
Hello,
Promising app. Just bought the pro version to encourage further development.
First, a bug report:
- I have setup the Quick Connect icon for NordVPN but it doesn't work. Whenever I click on the QuickConnect icon, it stays grey out and doesn't toggle the VPN on and off (this icon toggle works fine with my original rom (emui)). I believe I have set it up correctly in Mi Control Center, because when I long-press the icon, it open the NordVPN Information panel.
- In Color menu, "Reset all color to defaut' does not reset the Active tile color, and completly messes up the background (becomes transparent, even if set to Image blur)
Then, a few improvements, if I may:
- Could you add an option to expand the width of the Notification and Control Center panels to make them (almost) full screen wide. Currently I find these panels too narrow.
- Can you add an option to keep the original rom status bar visible and to remove the Mi Control Panel status bar.
- It would be great to be able to customize the notification color (and have the font color adapt to the background; ie white font if notification color is dark).
- In Control Center mode, could you add an option to have the text below the icon written over 2 lines (as opposed to scrolling from left to right), like it is done in Notification shade mode
- Could you add a 3rd presentation option that would be a mix of Notification Shade and Control Center. I like the way icons are displayed in Control Center, but would love to have the Notifications below upon the first swipe (before expanding the control center fully).
- Could you use a smaller font for "Control Center" above the icons. Do we even need "Control Center" in there, as it is quite obvious. If you need to fill in a blank space here, maybe you could add the time instead.

Status bar is part of system UI
So if you disable it, you'll break your system
Wysłane z mojego RNE-L21 przy użyciu Tapatalka
I am using Vivo y12
I downloaded it for customisation
But every time
I came out from the app
The MI contol center would disabled
It shows due to battery optimization
Battery optimization control is not in vivo y12 .
So I can't able to use it properly
Suggest a way to use it completely without problems.
wonderful!
and could add an option to remove the Brightness Bar?I don't adjusts it usually and like more succinct QS panel, thx!
Just bought this app because I was sick and tired of MIUI 12's broken notifications order, and what this app does is great!
However... there's a bug in quick settings, when you want to use custom tiles, like from AutoNotification. The actual names of the tiles are not resolved, instead is says "AutoNotification x", see the screenshot.
There's issue is brightness slider moving up, "sticking" to the quick settings panel.
Another issue is custom quick settings tiles not updating it's state, for example "Bloker reklam" (see screenshot) is an on/off toggle, and while does work, it does not update the state in the panel.
Can i use root to make this app the default status bar for good? Does it has that option?
İ do all settings but its dont work on Samsung galaxy s20 ultra. When i slide down to panel work Samsungs panel. How i use this app on Samsung galaxy s20 ultra.
Idk if this is still active but i'll try anyway... Could you make It possible to mannually set the color of the clock? Right now it is white and i would prefer to have it black because i think it complements better with my wallpaper...
This needs to be updated to work with Xiaomi phones that use the native MIUI Control Center.
New Xiaomi phones these days running on MIUI 12.5 ~ MIUI 13 will use the new MIUI Control Center as the default notification style. They don't even let you change this setting anymore. If you have a Mi Pad 5 running MIUI 13, the ONLY way you can look at your quick tile toggles is to do a swipe down motion from the top right of the screen. This is equivalent to the "quick pulldown" setting on some custom ROMs.
Alternatively, you can swipe down from the top middle of the screen (which will show your notifications), then from that screen, swipe to the left and you'll see the quick tile toggles. In other words, this is page 2 of the Notification menu. Keep this in mind.
On the other hand, the old MIUI Control Center style is much simpler. You can do a swipe down motion anywhere from the top of the screen and you'll see both the quick tile toggles and your notifications all on the same page. However, as I mentioned already, on newer MIUI versions you cannot go back to the old Control Center style. The setting is just not there anymore.
So here's the issue. There are 3rd party apps that create quick tile toggles and they don't work with Mi Control Center. Normally, Mi Control Center will ask you to find the quick tile in the System notification shade. However, Mi Control Center ASSUMES that you are able to see your quick tile toggles on the first page of the notification shade, so the first thing it will do is open the System notification on page 1. Remember, with MIUI 12.5~13, these are found in the 2nd page of the notification shade. Because of this reason, it doesn't recognize anything that you tap on in the 2nd page.
Even if you go into the Calibrate Tiles section in Mi Control Center and manually set the position number of the quick tile, it won't work.
