Longer is constantly researching, because there are things I want to make it a good thing that these great ruins. In the end, it is a ruin, final results are obtained, which is almost completely personalize your device, and all this while, of course, reliability and speed, stable operation is not compromised.
The things I missed or been destroyed in integrale:

first of all -----Thanks for the ROM
I am really happy to see new developer for our defy (no offense to our awesome developers here)
I am fed up of going from one ROM to another to find smoothness, speed and stability. And with this ROM i am fully satisfied.
My defy is actually flying. I am not a heavy user, but for everyday use, i find it fully compatible with my defy
Key features i like:
very good battery life ( in deep sleep for 9 hours only 2% drop)
nice animations
No lags experienced anywhere
launcher is so smooth ( i am actually playing with it)
lock screen is so smooth
very nice sounds
easy to use
3 schedulers and nice list of governors
6 themes to choose from by default
and many more....
I hope the ROM will be updated timely
just two questions from developer-
How to disable proximity sensor, and
can i add more themes to it, if yes, than please tell how to do it
Languages are the same as CM 7.2?
Looking forward to try this on my Defy+

First of all - all credits go to cordell and Slim Team. After will left the hlte slim scene, I found great gap when it comes to light and functional roms. Aim of this rom will be to stay close to Slim principles, but optimised with various toolchains and adding few features that I deem necessary.
This is the worst OP ever.
At this stage, it is still early to add or request features, as Slim just started developing again. When the code settles, I will have my own take on this rom. It will stay small, fast and stable above everything else.
Slim is back! Getting better with each release.

Remember this kind of ROM is not everybody's cup of tea. Not many features, but boy it feels light.
Then it's my cup oft tea. After searching for more and more features since Note 1 I settled down a bit and search for a stable slim rom.
Btw. Will is back in the building game for hlte but only with a slim cm build.

FANTASTIC !!
MANY THANKS FOR ALL YOUR WORK AS WELL AS FOR STARTING THIS THREAD !!
Have used (and really enjoyed) ROM intensively at work for the last three days or so.
Very - very light, smooth, rock stable and lightning fast !! (windows open after you think and before you click !!).
Love this bare bone feeling !!
Appreciated very much the save photos to sd option as well as the enter instead of emoticon in keyboard (no need for x-posed modules) and the volume buttons moving cursor options (I think both are missing in AOSPA - also an EXCELLENT ROM !!).
Lovely grey signal bars for 2G turn white for 3G - LTE.
Quick boot option is there to activate but shut down function in advanced power menu doesn't actually shut device down, therefore unable to confirm that it works.
Minor issue: after boot, ROM hangs for quite a while (I haven't timed it but I'm getting the impression it takes quite a bit longer than other 5.1.1 ROMs to boot up) in home screen before lockscreen is activated (therefore danger of shortcuts getting accidentally pressed in one's pocket etc).
A cupple of functions I could definitely live without but which would make (my) life easier if present:
Phone keypad T9 localizations.
Symbols for long press in AOSP keyboard.
Battery percentage (instead of icon) option for taskbar (I COMPLETELY ADORED the semi hidden -like easter egg- function when pressing the little battery icon in AOSPA's battery settings).
Another small thing: I think missed calls appear as received in call history.
And possibly no more than a cupple more (almost not worth mentioning) I don't remember.
My hardware buttons workaround is currently "gesture navigation" x-posed module that does an excellent job once one gets used to it (I will probably use it instead of buttons from now on).
Currently trying AOSPA daily at work (this, to me, is the only real testing) which gives me a very good feeling of fluidity, smoothness and stability though without the imediate responsiveness that Slim does (often reminds me of "Broken" which, after all is a Slim on steroids). I will post in the appropriate thread (many thanks for this also) when I'm done.
All the best.
Yours as always

Many thanks again encho.
Excellent ROM overall.
Enjoyed and still enjoying. Using since yesterday afternoon (24 hrs) <-I too always come back to Slim & have a tendency to stay->.
Really fast and light feeling even after having lived with Broken for 24 hrs so:
speed & snappiness 990/1.000 (agreeing that the latest version of Broken is always the standard for speed & snappiness ie 999/1.000 unless stated otherways).
No lack of any feature I would consider essential or find hard to live without. This said, hardware button mapping preferably with ability to assign app or shortcut to long-press and/or double press (excellent workaround for this is Gesture Navigation x-posed module), phonepad button T9 localization and long press phonepad button speed dialling would definitely have made my life easier.
Slim Launcher integration is very welcome and the addition of Personalisation>Interface in settings very promising for having one or two more features in future builds.
QuickBoot mode in Developer options an excellent addition - but Power Off command in Power Button long press menu doesn't work when QuickBoot mode is activated (works fine otherways but then there's no QuickBoot- haha) so let's say:
features 900/1.000 (agreeing that the latest version of BlissPop is always the standard for features ie 999/1.000 -or maybe I shouldn't have mentioned this at all -LOL- going to try latest version imediately after this)
Stability now is 999/1.000 since all basic settings and built-in applications work fine (QuickBoot mode is more of a feature than a basic setting so it doesn't count). And which ROM shall we agree is setting the standard for stability ? Probably EOS I should think.
Anyway, this was a first try -hopefully will mature over time (& get shorter and more juicy). I will try and post every time I have tried a new ROM / ROM version, either for a very short time (ie flashacholic's curiosity to see what's "inside the box") or for a longer period, at work etc. For anyone who happens to read this: please feel free to suggest anything and always remember that this is done purely for fun.

Soon, I hope. Lots and lots of commits coming from slim team, so it would be pointless at this stage to do any framework changes.
Hello,
I don't know if it's a question or just a complaint.
Looking at all threads, I see a billion ROM based on CyanogenMod or AOSP. But for stock, there's one thread: The one from Lost101. Fortunately, these are good quality ROM, with the essential (debloat, little bug fixes, some optimizations, root).
But it's too bad there are not others ROM, which add some customization: statusbar icons/clock, LED notifications settings, volume key behavior for example. These options are available in CM indeed, but CM is not usable for everybody because of some bugs that only power users can deal with. Stock ROM is more stable and uses less battery, several reports confirm this.
I know there's a module called Xposed. But I'm not convinced I should add another libraries layer (Linux layer + android layer + Google layer + Motoroga layer) just for some optimizations.
So why nobody (I meant developer/cooker) wants to personalize stock ROM ?
This is the reason why I started the Stock ROM Collections; for people to use as a base for their own ROMs.

because there's no source code available for stock motorola rom. It's very hard to modify code that already has been compiled. But still some guys do this for example @xpirt and his gpe modpacks are contain a lot of modification in addition to stock gpe rom.
But customs aren't so bad if you find stable build. I've been for a couple of months on euphoria rom and now I've flashed CM 12.1 snapshot and it's incredibly stable in my opinion. No bugs I found so far. And it's definitely better then stock one. Battery life the same, performance is higher. I had always face google start launcher redraws and music playback stopping when using chrome on stock 5.1 roms. That's the reason I moved to customs.
Xpirt mods look nice indeed. Too bad he did not do that for stock roms (no GPE).
I remember of my Galaxy SII, based on stock, despite being already compiled, there were a lot of customisations.
For CM, I already tried it, without success.

What would be the point if opportunities exist to build a ROM from source code?
Because stock ROM = stable + good battery = good for grandma
CM or AOSP = some problems + less battery = NO good for grandma.

almost zero bugs trying hard to concentrate on performance with out compromising battery
my opinion: keep the rom updated with the latest builds of miui
as u hav added too many languages it will increase the size of the rom. poll it for the language required for the users
i have heard redmi note 4 has a slow motion camera .. so is it possible to port it ?
ram optimizing is must
instead of changing the default font y not including the font changing feature from china dev rom ?
include this multiwindow feature : https://forum.xda-developers.com/xi...trick-add-multiwindow-feature-miui-8-t3568148
(as i didnt tried this rom im giving suggestions blindly so u can bear with me )

my opinion: keep the rom updated with the latest builds of miui
as u hav added too many languages it will increase the size of the rom. poll it for the language required for the users
i have heard redmi note 4 has a slow motion camera .. so is it possible to port it ?
ram optimizing is must
instead of changing the default font y not including the font changing feature from china dev rom ?
include this multiwindow feature : https://forum.xda-developers.com/xi...trick-add-multiwindow-feature-miui-8-t3568148
(as i didnt tried this rom im giving suggestions blindly so u can bear with me )

One thing ypu mentioned here about the font will try to update it on the 2nd build thanks for the. Suggestions
If possible Just need the maximum performance dude. I tried octos rom tweaked with kernel auditor to provide max performance. Which is far better scores than stock giving 45k(octos) vs 40k(stock).
Though secondary or optional Substratum/layers & DT2W feature.
i hardly belive that those synthetic bunch marks can only be written on papers
reallife perfomance is entirely diffrent from those in papers.. we may get 50k score but real life perfomance of miui (38-40k) may far far far better than 50 k

Can you please make it like Epic rom which has inbuld options in settings and has a great ram management
1) Make sure there is no problem signing to mi account.
2) Latest update could be better.
3) Please include this https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/soundmod-axon-7-dolby-atmos-t3412342
4) Having multi window could be better.
5) If possible include option to change network band.
6) Latest Gapps.
7) wallpapers from Windows 10.

When will it be uploaded?
any exfat support?
Waiting for it!!!!!
Will just request two feature apart from all these what you are compiling:
a) Don't include viper arise or viper atmos, as it then crashes the miui default audio and headphones settings, which is much better than both of these IMO, instead just let it be default and give link for dolby atmos as it works perfectly fine with miui default equaliser.
b) Can you please include chinese rom package installer, not the google package installer as found in global rom, as chinese one is more beautifully themed, also like globe rom, can you please add Xylon animations in your rom?
Hope you will consider both these request of mine.
when u give the new build .. bro waitting lots
I think dev just uploading rom for days
I just noticed the ROM I have installed on my phone (Bootleggers) most likely died (their website isn't up anymore, there's no new threads about it, their GitHub/Sourceforge didn't have any recent activity at all etc.). I chose this ROM because of some neat features it had. And, that's the reason I'm asking this question today.
The features I want to have might be stupid for others, but they make me choose a ROM over another one and since I don't really have the time I had before to go through every ROM I see with support for my phone, I am asking everyone for their personal preferences.
A ROM for me must have (from the most to the least important):
- Must be de-googled/have a de-googled variant
- Support for signature spoofing (this is needed because I will use microG to actually keep getting notifications on my phone)
- Include as little proprietary programs as possible (yeah, I know Bootleggers didn't really do that), preferably only include open source apps (I don't care if they're fully free software or something, they can be anything open source and a little bit more privacy-minded without tracking or anything than others, I am willing to make some small sacrifices but I want to use as many open source programs as possible)
- Over the air updates (I think all have that but I'll still specify)
- Must be the latest version of Android
- Work profile/Shelter support (but I think that absolutely everything nowadays has that)
And now come the least important things, but ones that will still make me choose a ROM which has them over one which doesn't:
- It would be nice if the default apps looked modern, and maybe also had consistent theming, preferably one that syncs to the theming you do in the Settings app
- Smart Pixels (turn off a certain percent of pixels to save some power/reduce brightness even further to some degree)
- Always on screen
- Changing colors, fonts, QS tile styling, theming in general, the more the better, and here come the things I really really want:
- The 'CRT' lock screen animation
- The 'Type' lock screen clock (the one where instead of showing 10:19 it writes 'It's Ten Nineteen')
So, yeah, I'll be glad to hear all of your suggestions! Or, if anyone still knows anything about what happened to Bootleggers I'll really want to know
You can try Dot OS with similar features. I am sure you will like it.
