Idle battery use question - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The battery in the OnePlus One is fantastic, i've never run out of power even in a heavy days use.
However i have noticed on days like today when i hardly use the phone a fair bit of battery is still use by Google Play / Android services.
I cant help but think Google / Android services are just wasting battery a lot more than they really need to?
Google Services have used GPS for 15 mins which has been of no benefit to me, then kept the phone awake for almost an hour... what does it really need to do for an hour when idle?
I imagine some of that is for push notifications from WhatsApp / Email? it just seems to me the phone is awake a lot when it doesn't need to be.

Android Services have kept the phone awake for 42 mins for some reason:
Google Services have kept the system awake 56 mins:

[Q] Strange Battery Usage

I noticed over the past week or two my battery usage has been very strange. It used to be something like 70%-80% screen and the rest was 3-5% each. Not I'm getting Maps and OS really high, screen not so much. I never use Maps, so I don't know how it's using so much battery, don't have Latitude either.
Also, don't know how Mobile Data has so much (or is even there at all), it's a WiFi only Xoom.
The total life doesn't seem any shorter, but how can I stop Maps from using so much?

Weird... I still have 56% screen, 28% OS, and small amounts of other things. I guess you could turn off your gps and kill maps every once in a while to see if it does anything.
I kill Maps every time I plug it in after seeing this usage, GPS has been off for over a week.
same here, similar numbers - I kill Maps every time but it comes back all the time too.... Any idea how to sort this out?

[Q] What happens when I disable wake up on Google play services?

[Q] [BatteryDrain] [XT1032] [Lollipop] Drain when phone inactive and in airplane mode

Image says a thousand words:

As you can see, all radios were off during the night and phone was inactive, yet somehow it was draining battery with constant speed.
It is stock GPE 4.4.4 OTA upgraded up to 5.1, no root or customizations. And the battery was performing pretty well on 5.1, phone would survive 2 days, and then this started. Wakelock detector does not show anything reasonable. No lots of wakelocks, no long time active applications, nothing suspicious (but it does not display kernel wakelocks). It says phone was in deep sleep 98% of the time, yet, it somehow has drained 30% of the battery. Rebooting, disabilng GPS did not help, it just keeps wasting energy with at least 2% per hour when it is idle.

S6 wakelock is at 99% and high battery drain

Hi , need some help figureing out what is the cause of the high drain. Please also see attached pictures. I noticed that on full charge.. the phone does not last even 6-7 hours. So i installed wakelock detector and it shows that the phone is awake 99% of the time.
just an hour ago my battery was at 50% now now it went flat and switched off. this is weird

Problem is that i am not able to find out what is the app that is causing it. Recently all i did was to install magisk on my phone, could this be the reason?
So far this are the sets i have done:
set phone to power saving
close location
restrict data for google play, google services
optimize apps to save power all time
bring phone brightness all the way down and remove auto brightness
no sync
So any help would be much appreciated. this started happening a week ago.
Do an Factory Reset and see if it helps.

I had the same issue....try to reset app permission for the all the apps and see if it resolves.
In night actually i loose only 4%... same with all phone.... 2 % or 4 % maximum in flight mode !
Doesn't look like a widespread issue. Must be an app or maybe a syncing service. Check all apps. This is actually surprising because vivos OS likes to kill all apps
