Hi There,
I'm currently in the middle of my final year project for uni, which is to create a custom version of AOSP that will allow users to clone the UID of RFID cards to use with HCE in versions of Android 4.4 and above.
Now, i'm going through some of the starter guides on this site as we speak, and following the XDA-University website, but I was wondering if there are any quick links to some dedicated guides to getting down and dirty with the AOSP code, and any pointers to help me on my way with dealing with the HCE Emulation part of the project?
Any help is massively appreciated!
Jay

Hello XDA,
I'm a new member, just joined today. I have tried porting Android 4.2 to a device named Starmobile Flirt on our contry but on another country, it is called i-mobile IQ3. The problem i had is the camera, which in every way I did has failed to work properly. I'm planning to do it again next month but I want to ask for some guides or tips on what I can modify to make its pinkish tint disappear and maybe some suggestions too if possible.
Sorry for my bad english.
If I broke any rule, please tell me so I can apologize and fix my mistake.
Hi there!!
Here's a guide to porting ROMs. Its also a place you could ask your question and fellow porters may have some insight!
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Software Development > [GUIDE] How to port ROMS
Not all ports will work tho, there can often be unfixable issues.
Good luck!
Thanks for helping

For Rom development. You can browse through this section...

For app development , browse through this section...
> App Development Forums > Coding Discussion, Q&A, and Educational Resources
Xposed is here,

Hello everyone here,
I've ported a custom ROM for my device from existing Base ROM. But both the ROMs are Android 4.1.1 . Now can anyone help me how to upgrade the version(Example: I want to upgrade to Android 4.4.4) of my Ported ROM? I googled a lot but I couldn't find anything useful/understandable for me. Thank you.
Hi,
You can try this tutorial on porting,
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Software Development > [GUIDE]How To Port ROMS to Your Device [AOSP]
If that doesn't help you you can ask for help. Until you reach 10 constructive posts, asking a question there will automatically open a thread in the general Q&A section... Just so you know.
Good luck!
Thank you for your Reply

Hi guys, I want to ask a question.
I want to make a custom kernel for my device. There are no exsisiting custom kernel, but there are custom kernels for a very similar device. The only difference is their modem/baseband. I have the source of the stock kernel. I want to ask how can I merge the modem within the kernels.(files to replace, lines to change, etc.)
Thanks.
Hi there,
You can learn more about kernel development here:
[GUIDE] Build Your Own Android Kernel{Easiest and Fastest Way] [Using The NDK]
[TUTORIAL][VIDEO]Build your own Android kernel
I suggest reading a couple of the relevant kernel tutorials found here: xda-developers - Chef Central - Android
Good luck

There is not much about Android TVs yet on XDA.
Just this: Android TV and Stick Computers.
Maybe time to request a new forum here: *** New Device Forum Requests *** by the_scotsman?!
But I found this thread:
[APP][TV5.0+][2015.03.10] Sideload Launcher for Android TV v1.05 by Chainfire
If you still need more help, please ask in the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
As long as there is no dedicated forum for Android TV sets, it's the best place to get answers and advices IMO.
Good luck !
