Out of curiosity, which launchers do you guys use and why is that the best?
I mainly used Nova Launcher, but just changed to Smart Launcher.
Also, which launcher do you find the most power efficient?

I'd like to make a go-to guide for alternative home launchers (both from the Market and from outside of the Market), and I'm looking for some input on which launchers I can feature.
I only recently discovered that there are several more than I knew about initially, and I'm interested in collecting information about as many as possible.
Currently I know about the most popular launchers:
ADW Launcher and Launcher Pro for example. But I'd like to know if there are any others that you prefer? Anything that makes them different from the rest? Your favorite features of each launcher?

i just installed Apex launcher. I don't know how does this launcher thingy work on my phone... i know it's sort of like a app that changes my "home screen". but what happened to my original launcher? is it still running in the background? will choosing default as apex launcher kill the original launcher that comes with the phone? if not, wouldn't it take a lot more ram and kill the battery since there are 2 launcher running at the same time? sorry it might be a dumb question, i'm still new to android...

for me i recommend you to use nova launcher. it has a bettter gui and more features available
I'm using Nova Prima and I'm happy with it. I would suggest to try both of them and then make up your mind which will be your favorite.
I tried both and liked Apex better.
Just try both free versions and see which you like better - they're very, very similar and you'll find which one's minute differences serve what you want better.
hello there, i'm actually using Smart launcher pro 2 but I need something with more "options"
I really like the way Smart Launcher sort all my apps in categories in a clean interface but the main page is too restricted for me
What I would like is a classic launcher (nova, apex, google now launcher...) with the Smart launcher drawer
I don't know if i'm very clear
is there any solution ? Any drawer "replacement" drawer for classic launchers ?
Adw launcher has many options. If You would like to test some 3d launcher I suggest tsf shell.

Using a different launcher, will widgets on "non used" launcher drain battery?
Lets say I set up the stock TouchWiz launcher, then decided to use the Google Now launcher... Will the widgets I set up on the TouchWiz launcher, such as the weather app, continue to work in the background or are they deactivated since the launcher is not being used?

No they won't since tw is not running in the background when you use another launcher.
