I have a full image of a mobile with similar hardware to mine.It's kitkat ,where as mine mobile is still jellybean.How can port this to mine mobile?
Mobile spects:-
mtk6572 1.3ghz
512 ram
4gb internal
difference in our mobile:-
mine has 5mp camera,other has 8mp bsi camera
other has ips screen whereas mine is normal.
Can anyone explain the method to do this or link where its explained?
I have searched but all I have found are JB to JB no JB to KK or other.

Hello. Read this link. Actually this is how to port Cyanogenmod to other devices. But I have to warn you that it is very difficult to port roms from source.

No custom roms for it...
Noone uploads for this device but still there an way to get ur phone exactly like KITKAT.
Including android version.
Install Xposed and then Xposed module "Eggster" and this will let you change the default easter egg i.e. jellybean
and then open root explorer and edit build.prop and change your device name , android version everything........
and install Xblast Tools
and GravityBox and full enjoy Kitkat Experience without any problem! :good:
You need drivers first.!
Just google 'enable adb drivers on nvidia based android tablets' and install drivers easily. After you sucessfully root, I want you to help me. Install flashify app and backup your recovery and share it with me , the backup (in a zip file maybe). Thanks.

In the past I had a device that had no developer support and no custom ROMs, after researching for a couple of days I found that if you have a device with similar specs to another device (like the same chipset, Ram etc), you can port that ROM from the other device to your own using some tutorials online.
Look up a rom for your snapdragon 210 chipset and see if you can find one to similar specs to your device.
I know this isn't developing a ROM but porting one is easier as most of the work is already done for you. This may be something worth looking into.

My phone Panasonic Eluga I2 was re-released with VoLTE, a 16GB Internal Memory, a higher megapixel camera and more RAM. I currently own the older edition with the same chipset MT-6735M but different RAM, Internal Storage and Camera. I am trying to port the firmware of the new edition into my phone so that I'd have VoLTE support as the chip supports VoLTE. Please can someone tell me how to port ROMs when the RAM, Internal Storage and the Camera is different but the chipset is same. The current guides only deal with porting between phones having similar configuration, which is partially true for me but not entirely.
