Links not working??
Despite the warnings, I tried this method to root my SCH-i705, MI1, with JB 4.1.2. Now, I do not have access to wifi, so I tried to return back to factory stock.
The links above do not work. Can they be updated? Or is there another way to return to factory stock?
I did have success with towelroot before. I tried this method in order to install a custom recovery, but now I see that it is impossible with this tab.
Any help to get my tab back is greatly appreciated!

My I suggest that you post that updated link in the beginning of the thread? I think it would be helpful to people like me who are new to this and are unsure how to find the things they need.
Thanks again for your help today, and all the work you've done on this tab. Wish you still had it since it seems like no one is working on it anymore. I would love to be able to unlock the bootloader...

Do I need an Unlocked Bootloader ?
And I'm from México and I've read that I could lose my 4G internet service if I use a firmware that's not from my cellphone company,
Is it possible to downgrade from kk to jb bootloader?

GT-N8010 KitKat install success BUT no more Bit partition
Everything worked fine for me when updating to kitkat... at first! My GT-N8010 became much faster (just like it had been when it was new). Not absolutely convinced that kitkat is any better than JB as one looses the floating window option that I liked and the overall perception is that KK is really made for a phone and not a tablet.
UNFORTUNATELY, after having used it for a day or two the tablet ended up frozen on a game (Fifa 2014) and since turning it off I have been stuck in a bootloop with the “Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1″ logo and nothing more. The tablet actually cannot turn off and stays stuck with the logo or in download mode if I press power and any one of the volume buttons. I’m unable to go into Custom recovery and all I can access with the power+volume up (or down) is the download mode. I tried to re-flash the same tar file in PDA/AP but I now get a Fail because there is "no Bit Partition found"!!! This kitkat update seems FAULTY and has bricked my Note 10.1 that was never rooted and running an official version of JB previously (which had become very laggy with so many applications on it). I do not know what to do now. Even tried flashing a CWM recovery in PDA but I get the same FAIL due to no Bit partition being present. How does one go about recovering the bit partition without further damaging the tablet?

Any update on this? Would love to start using custom ROMs on my g860, and a custom kernel would go a long way to making that a reality. If you need someone to test, I have my phone rooted with both Odin and a custom recovery. Also, I can provide logs if anything goes wrong.
I need someone to test. @1991mustang50 has been great and I just got on here to pm him and saw your post. Would you care to test?

Everything seems to be working great, with the exception of my clock will randomly change time during the day. Any ideas what would cause this?
Yeah mine did that too I just turned off auto time set and adjusted time zone. I have no Idea why it do that

Unfortunately this is fresh off the press and does not have xposed baked in. Because of this, I am not able to tell you for sure yet, whether this is resolved or not. My guess is, since I didn't do anything to modify it for that issue, that it will still occur.

Does it only occure when exposed is installed? Because if its just that I'll freeze the app myself. Thanks for the quick reply!

Yeah. I used the one @autoprime uploaded, and the only time I had issues was with xposed. but I got that sorted out.

Flash this. It wipes the two apps that cause the issue. For now, smart circle (On lollipop) will not work with xposed.
edit: In a future update, I will either attempt to resolve the issue, or remove the two apps that cause the issue all together.

people i really am excited to try this, being a 5.1.1 build. probably the first complete release of lollipop (IMO).
currently i'm running stock 4.4.4. what do you guys think if i flash this straight up over the stock firmware. i know the only concern is with the boot-loader. but really, if the boot-loader is kept as-is (kitkat bootloader) the only issues that i should be expecting is the 'screen flickering' issue right.

@keyboard config>gestures, activation is on but no swype working.

I'm currently not on 5.1.1, but if you are sure that you've turned on swype and it's not working try an alternate keyboard like Google keyboard and see if the problem persists.
