Will we able to taste it ?
LOL, It's possible, but It won't be easy. Someone should compile the ART runtime for run on the ARMv6 architecture, and I think it's not simple.

They've even tried to compile CM12 for the P500. However it was an experimental build and the first try failed.

No, I remember I was planning to get one to replace my P500 back in the day, it's armv7.
yes it is armv7 .. btw i will be looking forward to run lollipop on p500 ..interesting .. ART is the main problem .. but devs are gonna get it figured it out .. just like the last major updates..
like kitkat failed to boot
openmax libs for ics+ .
all this seemed impossible at that time .. but today we are running kitkat ☺

Highly unlikely. AndroidARMv6 team stopped working on CM12. Due to ART issues.

Ho-hum. It works on mine. I'm using KK but set it ART in dev settings. Could you maybe port the code over from KK? Or is it that different?
Yes, it is.
KK ART is incompatible with LP/MM ART.
Besides, it's not because of ART that we can't have lollipop, it's because the system partition and ram are too small.

There is no KK ART on our device. Selecting it is a fiction.
The system partition space was sited why we cannot have JB. Was solvable and we are running KK just fine. The attempt for LP has been abandoned. The space issue is solvable here to but has become moot.
I personally am having issues upgrading from GB.
I can't seem to update TWRP, nor install a different recovery, since ADB doesn't recognize the device at all.
And in the device manager, there aren't any unkown devices.
All required drivers are installed, TWRP is recognized by ADB, but system is not.
Unofficial CM 7.2 which fixes the bugs in the official version.
Rashr throws out an error that the command is missing, and updating the busybox didn't help change anything.
I haven't had time to check how to do it from the terminal yet.
TWRP is a themed version, at 2.2.2, so no material theme with easy recovery installation feature.
I forget how I had installed TWRP, however I think I did it via KDZ in Download mode.
ADB didn't work on the stock 2.2.1 and 2.3.3, either.
Edit: Nevermind, I found a guide and updated with image_flasher.
Rocking 2.8.0.1 for now, soon to updated when I get home.
Hoping to update to CM11 as well then.
Is there no TWRP 2.8.1+ for the P500?
Starting from that version, none of the zips on the website have any images in them, just the commands to flash them.
I'm guessing that this was the cause of some people thinking that the TWRP for their device is corrupted.
It's not corrupted, it's just not there.

So after installing this amazing rom and loving it for a week or two; I see a kernel update and install it. Everything went smooth but I lost my wifi after the fact. I was hoping someone could help me keep the kernel and get the wifi going. nothing about wifi problems were stated and it work fine previously. I wiped everything and even tried the wifi fix manager thingy i got with the ics rom i was running previously to see if that would do it but to no avail. I wanted to ask the developer but need some 10 post so help a bro out!
p.s....gotta give props to the man who had me running jb before anyone of my friends with newer phones!!! RANDOMBLAME!!!!

ditto, this happend with my Paranoidandroid install as well. kernel allowed me to stay running without crash, but wifi is a pretty big letdown...
unfortunatly, without the kernel itself being fixed, or the wifi module fixed, we are stuck looking for another alternate kernel... oh yeah, we are pretty limited.

So I'm only using it with jelly time or jb. I'm flashing the os then the kernel cuz the os installs its own. This is an updated kernel for the os.I'm thinking i should maybe wipe the cache partition after the the os then do the kernel but at the same time I would think that other problems would be happening if that was the issue. What do you think?

if it does, you might want to hold off on updating til the ROM updates for it.

The 'From_4_3' refers to if you're coming from the partition layout that was used with 4.3.
You see, the 4.4 kk ota changed the blocks that each partition uses. So if you've never flashed to the ota then use the 'From_4_3.' But if you flashed the ota you will need to use the 'From_4_4' version.

I thought the latest was the 1.24.502.3? Because you are able to see all the newest games on playstore and you could download and play them with full graphics? While the 1.40 doesn't have that.

That's that playstore version not the rom, on a ota from HTC on 4.2.2 are only really minor updates like HTC speak seems to get updated and minor camera tweaks and noticed alot off Google bloat apps just to give a little taste of kitkat has afew was added to the ota for 1.40 but hard to tell has they was no information about it. But major changes is if the rom was upgraded to 4.3 or 4.4 but has being a custom Rom the changes can be made by porting or using updates from the HTC one or any other from of updates or modded apps. HTC updates doesn't mean they're the best has has you all have come to use custom build roms so don't anyways think the ota is the best because in my opinion it's just mainly aload of bloat from HTC trying to get out of making big updates for this device. Pushing little ota's to keep people happy but really slacking behind the rest of the devices

Thank you for explaining. Now I understand a lot more about it. Do you know if there are ways to unroot the mini atm? Because I need to return it to att for a replacement because there are cracks on the white plastics. I always had my case on and barely took it out until yesterday I read about a thread here and found out that mines has one too.

Really this should be posted in Q&A not in this thread has it's disrespectful has it's not a question about the rom. But you need a ruu to go back to out of the box, unrooted, locked so it looks untamperd. But has again HTC lack big time on ruu too. Can't find any atm it's a big disappointment that this phone lacks such software for people to recovery their phones if needed. Only way I would suggest is use the stock Rom and install using stock kernel/boot.img the fastboot recovery.img found in a ota.zip then fastboot oem lock that will relock bootloader but that's close has you will get I think.
and also keep the theme from 0.7 if you can

you mean stock? you can normally check in settings > about phone > software information > more - official/stock kernels don't normally have someone's name against them
e.g. my evo 3d with stock kernel is [email protected] #1 SMT PREEMPT

can xposed framework work on this rom?
I can't actually see much about it on the HTC One Mini from a quick search... in the old days (on the HTC One) there was a zip that was required because HTC stripped out some of the features IIRC - can't see that or any for the latest version and after installing xposed it seems to lose settings each reboot... any advice?
thanks

Well I never had any problems with xposed. This isn't the HTC One either. It's the Mini where there lack of support for everything, unlike the One so it takes users like me to try make it happen has no one cares for the device.Try updating your su or using a different one and it's setup correctly

its a real shame - i bet not releasing the kernel source doesnt help
Can we start a list of sorts with Roms that work with the new bootloader?? so far i read that Dhacker29 has a few test builds of cm11 . i have one installed right now and it has some bugs but works and is faster than my hd has ever been . i can run this game i like and before it couldnt play without lagging now it runs crazy fast . anyway thank you Dhacker29 for the recovery and rom. i was reading another site and someone mentioned another dev that had a test build out for the new recovery but i cant for the life of me find or remember who it was. also how can i tell if a rom will work without trying to install it. i read that the kernel had to be 3.5 and newer or some shshhsh. anyway thanks in advance to anyone that responds
I second this. Was actually thinking of suggesting the same thing. Might help keep people from flashing the JB kernel Roms and asking what they did wrong. Least maybe a bit more.

i think you can install the stock files and then root and use a root app manager to remove all the bloatware from your phone. there is even a thread that tells you all the apps you can get rid of without jacking anything up. here you can check it out

after root you can download xposed installer and then download one of the customizing modules and you can then change your icons in the status bar. nav bar, even alter the way your toast messages come in . anything you can think change the color of your wifi and 4g icons or change them to something entirely diff . here check that out too . you probably already know all this already but just in case.

Yeah I don't know if any have xt925 support or not. Hopefully they will include them eventually.
Gummy Rom
I recently tried Gummy Rom for 3.4 kernel. It was pretty good, but had trouble with bluetooth freezing the phone and wifi dropout at times. It has great progress, and appreciate those who are working on it. :good:
I have installed dhacker's 4.4 cm build from 24/6. Happy to report that it boots - and so far, at least - works great. This is on an xt925! It's the first 4.4 bootloader rom other than moto that I have got to actually boot up on this phone.
I installed gummy and have been using the auto updater running nightlies right now I'm running 6-24 build . it seems like the the previous ver. had fixed the screen dimming issue but it seemed to come back on this ver. but rarely happens I haven't tied Bluetooth yet and the popping/static sound issue is still there but other than that I like the rom . thanks for

In droidrzr forums there is an Unofficial Omni Rom for kitkat bootloader..
btw, for xt925, dhacker says that we only need the new bootloader (maybe installing the leaked soak test from France we can use the newest roms)

Bootloop after flashing. Help!
Need some help. I have installed this kernel on CM 12.1 Rohan's build and got bootloop... Some info: I used Philz Touch 6 Fota and wiped cache and dalvic after flash. I recovered from soft brick through but what should I do to avoid bootloop?
File
Sorry for the dumb question but what is zip dl-0? cant flash it, it wont detect it.
Good day. First off, i wanted to say that i've tried this kernel and the d2w is very helpful for preserving the hw power button and i think this kernel is very useful.
The thing is, since their latest releases, i've found that Glade Rom and SlimLP have been the roms that are best for me in terms of what i need and my daily usage. Unfortunately, this kernel doesn't work for either of them. I'm guessing it's because of their base?
Anyway, i'd like to ask if the dev has any plans to get this kernel working for either of those roms or for aosp 5.1.1 roms in general? If yes, that would be awesome. If not, then i still say this kernel's features are still very helpful and i'll be waiting to get a cm-based rom that works for my needs. ?

Doesn't work in the sense?
I have plans to bring this to every LP based ROM for XL.
I guess there might be some kernel related change. I will see to it.

bootloops. even through a clean install or flashing it after an install and clearing dalvik and cache...
i've noticed that the roms that doesn't work with tz 4.15 won't work with this kernel either.
great to hear your plans. really appreciate it.
edit:
both these roms are aosp based and have RRO supported as opposed to cm theme engine. could that have any bearing on it? let me know how i can help.
Problem on my HTC One (M7)
Hello,
first of all I would like to apologize for my English problems. I installed your Kernel on my HTC ONE M7. It is running on Cyanogenmod 12.1 (Android 5.1.1). The problem is that my handy freezes everytime it tries to boot. It freezes on the HTC logo to be more specific. Please let me know if you need to know more details or need even a log and I hope this issue gets solved.
Thank you

LOL No, this kernel is not meant for HTC One.
This kernel is only for Sony Xperia L. Please read the full post before trying anything.
Now how to recover? If you are able to go in recovery, flash CM12 or any custom ROM.
Master Solution is flashing stock as always, although I dont know how things are done for HTC [emoji14]
@corphish i kniw i shouldn't but.. If it's possible, may i ask that you add the Intelliactive scheduler if you can? Lulzactive and on demand doesn't really work for me (lulzactive seemed buggy last time i tried it - main core stayed on max freq). Just a request. ?
Wifi stopped working after I flashed this kernel. Previously I was on Tz 4.16. Any ideas what I can do fix this, other than going back to Tz?

Well, you cannot go back to TZ now. It flashes kernel in boot-device linked partition, which is a mystery partition about which only Varun knows.
I haven't succeeded in your situation.

Right, learned that the hard way
Is this a known issue though, or something that you or others have previously faced, that changing from Tz to Zapdos will break wifi? Just curious.
Hey man, I use Primexperia rom, it's CM12 based, soon to be posted new ver CM12.1 based. For some reasons it's not compatible with TZ 4.16, 4.14 only (wi fi missing on 4.16) Will this kernel work for me? The only thing I really need is a stable system with Sony sound
Oh almost forgot, I use TWRP and I think that any other recovery is a waste of time, to be honest. Can I use TWRP?

Stryflex LP 1.5 Rom
Hi,
I am using Stryflex LP 1.5 Rom.
When used the its kernel, phone freezes randomly & hangs & not responds.
We have to take out battery & restart phone.
Most of the times even if i take out from pocket also it is in DeadState(even if pressed power button alos nothing works.)
So i installed Thunderzap 4.16 ,it is not freezing but Wifi is not working.
Then i shifted to your kernel, thank god it is not at all freezing while operating .
But i noticed that it is going to black screen/Dead State very frequently.
Waiting for any suggestions & help.
I appreciate your help & time.
Could we get 1.7~ OC like in TZ kernel? It was fully stable for me even with thermal throttling disabled.
Maybe it's noob but would the wake up signatures Hurt the touchscreen some how.
I mean it well make it work for 24 hour????
Tz 4.16 with cm 12 work properly and Wi-Fi is goog and with application tenderzap control you can Cheng setting so good and you can change control charge to 2100 ma for faster charging so download tanderzap control.apk

I have been running Paranoid Android 5.0.2 and keep having battery life issues. I have trimmed my apps down and even re-enabled the SystemUpdateService for the Google Play Framework which doesn't help. The service also keeps automatically being disabled. Another issue I have is lack of xPrivacy on this version in addition to various OS 'quirks'.
What is the recommended 5.1 ROM for this device that does work with the newer versions of xPosed/xPrivacy?

AFAIK all ROMs work with Xposed except TeamEOS (bootloop) and Temasek (you need a modified version of Xposed). Xprivacy works well now on 5.1.

Is there a recommended ROm that does not add much bloat to the stock OS? That is why I chose Paranoid to start with. It is not stock but yet doesn't add a bunch of unnessesary things.

CM, Terminus, OptiPop... but I didn't try all ROMs so you should read the OPs in Android Development and Original Android Development.

Let the users make their own decisions. Cataclysm is closed source and will never include themes. 2 points for which some users won't flash it

Not interested in Cyanogen anymore. No real reason other than they got a bit big.

While open source is a plus and is preferred I can sacrifice if enough people recommend it.
I cannot seem to find screenshots of either OptiPop or Terminus.

Try by yourself. Screenshots are useless as long as you know what are the main features. You can apply layers or themes (ROM related) if you want custom UIs.
