Someone know if I can use Slimport adapters with Nexus 9?
Paolo
Finding so far indicate that MHL/Slimport does not work. This is apparently also confirmed by google: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-9/help/slimport-mhl-doesnt-t2930951
Google wants you to go wireless aka. Miracast.
Can confirm that Slimport doesn't work. Just got out of bed to try it ?
Root?
Is there any way around slimport and mhl not working by using an app of some kind with a rooted device?

This standard can connect phone to tv with Micro-USB to HDMI cable
Has anyone can confirm if it works on xperia MHL L?
I'm crazy to connect my phone via hdmi on tv, but I'm afraid of not having xperia L bracket and I buy and hdmi cable mhl adapter or for nothing.
I have read on polish forum that XL doesn't support MHL. He bought the MHL adapter and tested and it didn't work but he was able to get back to shop with adapter and refund the money. I'm not sure about 2.17 update if it does allows MHL as it was before that update.

Thanks for replying ...
May be that this new att has provided support MHL same, I'm using it, but do not have the adapter or cable to test ...
Mobile see much weaker supporting and XL would bear
Surely someone here from the forum has the cable and adapter and could test and give us a right answer.

I think no meter witch firmware you use, mhl is a hardware not software.
i tried with a samsung mhl adapter and dont work in my c2104.
Anyone has use the mhl 3.0 hdtv adapter? It said that the power cable is not required? Anyone tested it? It also can send image to the tv at more resolution that 1080P.
Hey,
I don't know if this will help, but in my first week of owning the GNE I tried to connect it to my television using a mhl 1.0 adapter I got off of eBay. It needed the charging cable to power the adapter, but overall it didn't work. I read somewhere online, that a Samsung brand television is required, or maybe not? I have an Bose television, which is not that popular, but if someone on here can get it to work on a non-Samsung brand television using a mhl 3.0 adapter, let me know.
Thank you for your time and for reading.

I have an MHL 1.0 adapter (Samsung brand) that works fine with my Galaxy S3 and Note 10.1 (2014) tablet, but doesn't work with my Note Edge. Definitely something different between the two technologies.
I actually picked up an MHL cable form Amazon last week. I've used a few different brands, and they've always been unreliable - I'm including Samsung's here, which failed in less than a week (!) because of poor construction.
This one's worked pretty well for me so far! I've used it with my Note 10.1 as well as my Note Edge and my only real complaint is the shortness of the cable. You'll have to have a wall outlet pretty closeby or an extension cable in order to use this thing with either of the devices I mentioned. Or you can do what I did and just hook up one of those portable batteries you can get just about anywhere now.
I can't post links yet, but if you look up "Rankie MHL", youll find it.

I own samsung official mhl 3.0 cable. I connected my note 4 with a 4k philips tv and played some 4k samples from lg tv's. Philips TV reported the signal as 2k at info section.
P.S. I have not connected external power surce to mhl adapter
I just use a Belkin Miracast HDMI adapter... works great with the Edge.

Hello guys like the title says does this phone have MHL support? I have a appradio with ARU Reloaded app that gives full mirroring and and control in your car and a android phone right now I have a not activated razr hd hooked up to and today I was like why not hook up the s6! since we have root! Cause yes you need root for this app to work well no dice! Did do some googleing and rumor has it no mhl support.
Question:
1.Is this true?
2. Noticed the new 3.0 MHL adapters with 4k support maybe you just need this adapter?
So before spending the 40 bucks on a 3.0 mhl adapter looking for some input did anyone try a 3.0 adapater or was anyone able to get this to work?
Man wish there was a way to make a flashable zip through flashfire with drivers to get this to work.

Without previously reading any documentation of any sort I tried with an adapter I have at home. I tried with the 11 and the 5 pin adapters, with and without AC plugged to the converter module. It just didn't work.

Same here. MHL is not supported on the X2 even though it worked on the X1, which is a pity.

I've tried the MHL adapter that came with my S7 Edge and it's working fine on my X2, it recognizes and reads the USB memory stick without problem.
Are you talking about OTG or MHL? The former is an USB host to connect device... the latter is something to mirror phone screen through HDMI... Am I right?
Yes, you are right. OTG is working, MHL is not...

Instead of MHL I'm using the Multiscreen for mirroring its working perfect.
The MHL is not working but the screen mirroring in Chrome Cast works just fine for X2.

I have not tried one but my friend has a LG V10 and we went a brought a mhl cable adapter hooked it up and it did the same as the x2. So we did some research and found that a slim port adapter is wjat was needed to get the video out of the LG V10. So I was wondering has anyone tried a slim port adapter to play video over hdmi on a x2?

Sorry for the necromancy on this old thread, but it means that I can Use my X1 with a HDMI-microUSB cable, and not my X1 ?
