Hi guys i'm been following tis "guide to Installing S-off, ClockWork, Root, SuperCID & S-on [03/AUG/11](noobproof)Thread" I was at step 2, after i hboot my phone there wasnt any update for me to select. i had try placing the .img file, .img file together with the PG58IMG.zip file and just the PG58IMG.zip file alone. i also try using another sdcard but all of tis fail. my phone was s off.. Pls help.. thank alot....
So you have S-OFF and can boot into recovery using vol+ / power? You already have PG58IMG.zip on your SD card, and when you get into recovery it scans the card looking for PG58IMG.zip? Does it them ask you if you want to flash this update?
Please describe what happens.

Yea i had S-off, yes i can boot into recovery usin vol / power. yes i had PG58IMG.zip on my sd card. yes it start scaning the card. the problem is it dose not ask mi if i want to flash the update.. Thank alot of the reply.. Pls help mi out here..
You sure its on your as card and not in a file somewhere? On your as card? that could be a reason. If I were you I would just download 4ext updater apk from my signature and you can install recovery with one click.

Maybe you had a bad download. Did you check the MD5 sum? Or try downloading the file from another source.
I had the same problem, I fixed it by running the revolutionary script on my computer again while connecting my phone in HTC sync mode and when revolutionary asks to install revocery just type y and then press enter and let it install recovery for you then you can root and update the recovery through rom manager after rooting.
FML.. my phone bricked.. i turn off my phone wen is connected to my pc and i unplug it.. after tat i try to turn it on.. it bricked.. i try to charge it totally no respond.. is at htc services centre now.. hope i get it back alive.. i stop rootin at recovery stage.. Thank alot for all ur help guys..
hi rddocke the rom u usin is exactly the rom which inspire mi to rootin.. haha.. is there a guide for a noob like mi to follow? minus the risk of bricking it.. cos it had being bricked once for mi i seriously dun tink it brick due to rootin issue..
No, there's no easy way for this. Everyone took the risk, you should follow the instructions word by word. I have a feeling that your .zip was renamed wrongly.
PG58IMG.zip is tis file name correctly?
I have:
Hboot 1.14
ViperXL rom
TWRP 2.3.3.0
installed elementalx - problem begins
I cannot get the rom to boot properly. it load the boot screen, then reboot again.
I just figure out that my phone cannot mount the sd-card.
I boot into recovery and try to reflash viper but nope. Open the sdcard directory and nothing is there, except the TWRP folder, but nothing is inside.
I try to do a factory reset and failed, since it shows it could not mount sd card...
how do i get my phone to mount the sd again? please help.
Do not factory reset in bootloader it will corrupt your sdcard.
nah, i fixed it... mounted everything and format the data and cache.
everything gone. clean slate :/ I have no backup of my stock rom neither, so i'm stuck with custom. :/
please help me

Hi Guys , I have a Micromax funbook p560 (Android ICS 4.0.4) . I have rooted it already but unable to install clockwalkmod recovery. I have tried everything but it only boot into old recovery " android system recovery <e3> "..
I have already used lots of thing to install CWM recovery but nothing works.
Then I found from terminal that "/dev/block/nandg" is not there in /dev/block/ folder...
There is only mmcb1k0, mmcblk0p1 to mmcblk0p21 files (which i think responsible for recovery mode ) & loop files
So the bash script was not worked...
So kindly help me on this so that I can install CWM recovery.

You mean you want to make cwm your default, you might need to flash a custom kernel. Else you can flash cwm.zip via your stock recovery and enter cwm recovery and use it for everything you need.

i was searching for a solution for a friend who owns this device. he can't get either 3G sim or netsetter dongle to work on this. then, i saw this page: Upgrade/Update Micromax Funbook 3G P560 to 4.1 Jelly Bean. says something in there about using rom manager app to install cwm recovery.
post the results, if you try. include steps you followed to root and also link to the cwm recovery file.
btw, can anyone help with getting BSNL 3G SIM Card and MTS Huawei EC1561 dongle to work on this device? thanks.

Yes that is the what only can work ... I think some boot script overlap cwm with stock recovery...
So I tried CWM.zip file flashing through stock recovery and it boot into cwm but Interface is very large and many error pops up...(like /cache not found .. etc etc )
thats all because of the partition related... wrong mount points in recovery.fstab file in cwm.zip.
So I edited that file with my correct mount points....... but signature got broken .. &
I'm not able to flash the new Edited CWM.zip file, as stock recovery refuses because of signature error..
So is there any way to edit recovery.fstab file in CWM.zip without breaking signature or re-signing it ???
Kindly tell me .. It will be very helpfull..
Is there anyone using funbook 3g P560 with working CWM. I dint find anything bout it.. All having the same issue I think..
So Please help me on this....Thanks
Is anyone there can help me ???
what are the possible blocks for recovery ics 4.0.4 ???
Thanks

Hey, i have that tablet and have rooted it.
1. Download root master english.
2click root and follow what it tells.
3.download root checker.
4. Go in su binary it comes with it.
5. Give root permission to root checker and verify root in root checker.
6.its rooted but when you use a root apk a popup will come to allow root permission to that apk. If not then do the same check it in su binary.

Has someone the same problems than me? am I doing something wrong?
Try flashing from external sd.
