HI,
I kind of new to OPO (I use N4+N5 for a while so...)
I have few questions :
1. I bought my OPO from Chinese website (coolicool) and I know there is differences between the china version and the rest of the world - is it true ? if so - what are the differences ?
2. How can I manually check for CM updates within the setting ?
Thanks

Hello folks,
I am fairly new to the Android OS so please be gentle
I took the plunge and finally got a smart TV from Haier which came with the 2.3.4 Android system. All is fine an cherry in 2.3.4 town as of now (apart from its horribly looking user interface design). But was wondering if i could install the 4.0 update ?
Isnt the android system like any other where you have one default version of the OS that comes from google and then there are variants from the open-source community ? If so then which is the best stable version and where can i find it.
Installation of the 2.3.4 OS is on an MMC that i copied from the technicians that came home to fix the TV so i am fine with a backup and the procedure for the install from an MMC. But i assume that if i download the OS from the internet then the procedure will be a bit different ?
I'll update more of the details (Kernel version etc) when i get home. All this because the manufacture - Haier - does not provide updates online or on its website or anywhere on the web. Appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Gaj - I have the same question which you have. Did you get any response from anyone or have you now upgraded to the latest version ?
If you have the latest firmware to upgrade , please share it with me or else please share the OS back up what you have as I don't even have it
please help me
Regards
Sri

Hello everyone! I bought the M811 device of China Mobile. It is running on Android 4.3. Most of the Google apps are not working and even if you put the language on English, still lots of information is still in Chinese, which I do not understand. Therefore, I want to put another Android operating system on it, preferably Android 4.4 KitKat. I am not familiar with this at all, can someone help me?
4G
I have the same phone with the same problems as yours, also even if i have the "Network Mode 4G/3G/2G(Auto)" i can't get 4G and my friends next to me with other phones they can. So, is this 4G fake or what?
Also i made it to root it but i can't found any compatible custom rom.

I do currently have this device in my hand.
You can try rooting it and then you should be able to install gapps.
As no source code is released by CMCC(or at least I can't simply find it), upgrading to another version of Android requires a lot of work - possible in theoretic and possibly only possible in theoretic.
could someone please point me to a place that shows me how to root this phone
install another rom in zong m811
hello sir
i brought zong m811 from the market yesterday
i want to change it operating system
how i can change it
sorry for my bad english i am pashtu speaker
First of all thank you for attention.
I have an unpopular phone called LG optimus VU 2 which is currently being well developed in Vietnam and Chinese developers. I have threads here for not Vietnam, Chinese Here is the link and the Cyanogenmod 12
This phone has a CM10, CM11 and of course CM12 very stable and good ports.
Here is the question : Can my phone Have an official Cyanogenmod support IF -
1) it dont have a GITHUB codes
2) Maintainer is still working on this device
3) Stable rom(it is already)
Hi,
You would need to go to CM's website and ask them about that. ?
Good luck!
Dear colleagues, my phone somehow from the last update (the one previous to 6.2.1) is not notifying me about the new developer ROM updates. Now checking the forums I see that I am already couple of versions behind and have in mind to upgrade. There are couple of things that I would like to ask before moving forward with the upgrade and I hope somebody can help me clarify them. Here it goes:
1. is 6.3.1 the new Android 6 / EMUI 4.0?
2. I need root and I need to be able to switch data between cards (the famous build.prop trick). Would this be still possible in 6.3.1 (and the future versions)
3. Is there anything special that I need to pay attention going to 6.3.1 or is the standard update procedure stated here on the forum (standard build.prop and update in dload folder)?
4. (more kind of curious) is something wrong with my phone that it's not notifying me anymore about the OTA developer updates? Can somebody give me a lead where I can see what I should do about it?
Thanks a lot mates! All the best!
Will our beloved X2 ever see Nougat ? LineageOS any chance? I have got LineageOS 14 on my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 and it flies!!! given the tablet new life love to have it on my X2.. can it/will it be possible ?

Well , if it's working, that would be a big news! You should open a dedicated thread here if you are the porter:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-x2/development
describing the source used, the install ways, the known bugs, and the test needed (in english)
thanks
My English is very bad. I can briefly describe how I did it. I took CM13 from Honor 7. Installed on my device.
Works: communication, wifi , gps , bluetooth
The camera is not working . Double tap
Installation requirements:
1 on the phone should stand 6 android no matter what location
2 installed twrp
Installation
1 will be loaded into twrp
2 make backup of your firmware
3 in twrp make wipe date factori reset
4 Flash the archive with firmware
5 if you need gappsy then we sew an archive with them
6 Root is getting a firmware file with super su
7 Loading in the system and going through the initial settings
8 Play market will offer to update super su to the current versionWe update at will and after updating also update binary files
Download
Unofficial_CM13_Port for X2.zip
open_gapps-arm64-6.0-pico-20170309.zip
SuperSU_v2_71.zip
video
thanks for quick reply. So the known bugs are:
- Camera does not work
- double tap does not work
that's it?
Hope other people here will test!
Nice idea to port it anyway, thanks again
once again you should open up a dedicated thread in X2 android developement forum.:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-x2/development
(do you want me to open it?)
you might have a lot of people interested!

Let's leave present thread to its original subject: nougat for X2 (let's remind that the X2 is NOT on the Huawei devices list that will receive nougat... and without processor source, CM14 will not be ported on the Soc)
some updates showed recently, but you have to use huawei firmware finder to find tham and install them:

No Nougat scheduled by huawei for the X2. No lineage OS neither, at least we are lucky enough to have a CyanogenMod 13 port for the X2:
