Matte Screen Protectors

Hey, I personally dislike glossy screens and always have had matte screen protectors. I was looking for suggestions for ones that would work with a case, probably the diztronic TPU, and that have the proper cutouts for everything.
I saw nillkin has one on ebay, but thats the only noticeable one I've seen.

"Ultra Oleophobic has an oil resistant coating to resist oil and other contaminants. Ultra Fine screen protector is matte type hard film which resists against fingerprints and smudges, but it is less clear compared to other Steinheil screen protectors."
Ultra Fine isn't in the list though. Oleophobic is matte for sure? But it doesn't say anything about it being matte. I assume that this confirms it though: "Any marks and fingerprints can be wiped away easily."

I had an Oleophobic SP from SGP on my previous phones, (Atrix and RAZR) unless i remember wrongly, oleophobic series are still clear protectors, they just come with an additional coating to make it more fingerprint resistant.

Try Clarivue: www.clarivue.com. I haven't had time to install mine on my N4 yet, but it does have the cutout, and I've liked Clarivue screen protectors on my LG G2x.

I did a review of the Clarivue privacy protector in the accessories thread. I would recommend the anti glare vs privacy. Clarivue is great though. I have a 10 percent off coupon posted at the bottom of my review that can me used on any products from their website.

There's got to be a decent alternative that doesn't break the bank (i.e. well below $10). The Spigen and Clarivue ones must have murderous mark-ups.

Looks like it has cutouts, but no actual pics.
Theres a few "sketchier" looking ones, but nillkin was pretty recognizable...

Nexus 4 Screen Protector with Ringke Fusion

Hi there,
I've just purchased a Ringke Fusion case for my new Nexus 4 and the only thing left I have to get is a screen protector.
I'm fully aware that some screen protectors don't go over the edge of the phone and I'm not sure if this will be a problem.
I'm looking for a screen protector that doesn't need water for it to be applied. I want the lip of the Ringke Fusion case to slightly cover the edge of the protector to avoid it peeling off. *Edit* Of course, I will be needing one that has the correct cutouts for the Proximity Sensor and Front Camera.
Please advise, much appreciated, hope I've stated everything clearly.
If you are using a Ringke Fusion case with your Nexus 4 and you are using a screen protector in which you think you have a perfect fit, please do share what screen protector you have, thank you!!

I think the best option here might just be BSE right? I've read on Spigen and apparently some of there protectors extract oil and fingerprints a lot? Is that accurate? I don't want Zagg, nor do I want XtremeGuard.

Top (Spigen Crystal) vs Bottom (GadgetShieldz)
I really do like Spigen's curved/rounded cutouts.
GadgetShieldz does look like it goes as close as possible to the edge, which is great for me.
Which one would you go for?

Hey I have a Ringle Fusion case and just bought the Skinomi Full Body protection and it fits perfectly on my Nexus 4, I messed up applying the front screen protector on so I had to order me another one but it fits very well with the Ringle Fusion.

Buy the case optimized from gadgetshieldz, its perfect. Using it from last 5 months

I got a dirt cheap (Rs. 120) matte screen guard on my n4 bought from eBay.in. There is little gap of around 2-3mm between the edges of fusion cover and screen guard. I have been using this setup since last 20 days without any problem. Everything looks perfect, the screen guard does not appear to get off any soon.

Tempered Glass Screen Protectors

Anyone who currently owns an LG G2 knows the frustration of not being able to use a Tempered glass screen protector.
(yes there are many on the market but none of them fit 100%)
This is due to the "2.5D" screen glass, with its curved edges.
A Flat piece of glass just simply does not fit over a curved one.
The Note 4 has this same type of screen with curved edges, as does the iPhone 6.
All the major players in tempered glass screen protectors have said they are looking into it.
Think anyone can figure out how to make a curved glass screen protector to fit?

better to say as same as S3 (don't compare SAMSUNG GALAXY with apple iphone )
i remember the solution for screen protectors for S3 was small size.
i mean not edge to edge protector.
but for temp-glass...
maybe some glass + plastic i mean plastic for edge of screen and glass for front
two types of material in one protector !!!

Galaxy S6 screen protector...

So...if the Galaxy S6 will have the edge feature on both sides wouldn't that make making a screen protector for it a nightmare? I am still getting the device because I am a Samsung fan boy but....

I actually found a compatible screen protector for my Note Edge. The film contours around the edges. You may wanna check them out. IQShield screen protectors. I'm also a certified Samsung follower and yeah,it's kinda difficult to find screen protectors with the edges.

i don't see how the edge will be a problem with a protector, it's not like the film can't be wrapped around. screen protector are so retro and pointless. i never put one on my s4 and its been 2 years and not a single scratch on the screen.

IMO, screen protectors help protect the value of your device especially if you're considering a resale. In my case, I'm tad a bit clumsy and so, having screen protector is a must. I feel like it's vulnerable if I leave my device naked.

The only real screen protector that will contour to the edge will be a wet-application one. Iloome did have a prototype curved tempered glass for the Note Edge, but it had issues and they haven't provided any updates about it in a while.

as i said before, 2 years with no screen protector on my S4 and not a single scratch on it. same thing with my S3.. sold it after a year and a half in practically mint condition for $180 and screen was flawless. besides, screen protectors take away from the glorous screen and i could care less about resell value because i buy phones to enjoy them as it comes, i do not buy them to preserve it for someone else to enjoy lol.. the last time i used a protector was when i had a htc touch pro when screens were plastic. to each their own i guess.

Case or screen protector..Possibly both. It's kind of interesting to see double edge on the S6 edge.. Honestly I might go with a case until I found a screen protector that won't diminish the crispiness of the screen. so will see.

No, it's not really necessary, but for a few bucks you can buy a tempered glass one if you really are a bit clumsy, but gorilla glass normally is difficult to scratch.
found a tempered glass one here for preorder, it's on sale and only $4, can't go wrong.

I think a wet screen protector would work well for the Edge. I just hope that someone comes out with a clear, frosted/matte protector for the glass on the back to protect from scratches and reduce smudges.

Yeah, I agree with y'all. Wet install films pretty much cover edge to edge, but there are also quite dry install films that works. I've heard quite good reviews about iLLumiShield Screen protectors,too.

Well, the glass ones have to have a sticky residue to stick to the phone. I'm sure that it's difficult for those companies to make a perfectly curved glass and have that coating underneath. I'm excited to see some of the attempts, though. I think that this is going to be one of those things that just takes a long time for the companies to figure out, and I'm sure we'll get some humorous images on here before someone gets it right.

I already bought a redmi note 8 pro tempered glass screen protector on Amazon,and already installed it on screen.Despite being more expensive, the value is definitely worth it. The kit comes in a plastic case with 2 screen protectors (including wipes and dust removal stickers), an alignment tool for the screen protector, carbon fiber phone skin, and a camera screen protector.
The screen protector is really easy to align and did not present any bubbles or hazing, the display colors were not noticeably affected. The skin is nice and so is the camera screen protector.
I say that this kit is worth the price, it offers so much for the price and the gap-filling liquid makes the protector blend in perfectly with the phone screen.

I found on AliExpress 5d tempered glass and I am not satisfied with it.. its not so good and at the edges I cant steak it ..

I am currently using Nillkin Amazing CP+Pro tempered glass. The best full coverage tempered glass so far. It doesn't have the excessive black border that covers the screen like those stupid cheap glass. Can fit with any casing & smooth texture. I recommend you guys to try this one bc if you fitted it correctly the sensors will work as usual. And also it's high visibility I can barely see the glass tbh. It's 0.33mm and 2.5d edges so should be good

I got this as well. I had the same type with the applicator for my Mi 8 Lite and love the ease of application thanks to the tool.
One tip I learn about applying screen protector and skin is:
1. Wash your hands, do not dry them.
2. Prepare some warm water with washing up liquid mixture.
3. Drop a few drops of these mixture onto the surface where the glass or skin is going on (do not worry, this phone has IPX2 rating)
4. Apply the glass or skin.
5. Press the water out with a card.
Any bubbles or water below will dry out in a day or so.
Oh, of course, do this in a dust free place such as a hot steamy bathroom (everyone should know this one now).

Well, cheap T glass suck, incomplete glue, I decided to get standard nikilin CP+max and a metal ring for camera protection (without installing the camera glass), for body, I will just pour nanotechnology coating solutions, $12 total including shipping. Ain't pay for $50 for $220 phones.
