Hey guys, My Z3 took a nasty fall onto some tile floor from about 4 feet, flat onto the ground. picked it up and sure enough it's shattered and touch doesn't work now.
$175 replacement, more disappointed in myself than anything.
I want to make sure the new screen is more protected, but I hate most screen protectors. I don't like that they're visible, and I don't like if they affect the viewing.
The best screen protector I've ever had the pleasure of using was actually the one preapplied to the Z1/s I used to have. Never even would have known it was there if not for reading about it on the internet. Is there a similar aftermarket protector I can get for my Z3?
Been thinking of Spigen but not sure.
The glass ones are very nice. They don't affect the screen, however they're very thick compared to the more conventional screen protectors.
Nillkin glass protector is perfect! You don't even see it! For real, and also comes with a back protector (really useful).

I have the nillkin as well, purchased the rear glass protector to go with it. The back definitely is not 'hard' as the front, I have several deep scratches that I can actually feel. The anti-finger print coating also sucks...
I wouldn't recommend getting the Nillkin back glass protector.
Glass protector FTW, it has saved my phone twice now. Defiantly recommend a case too, you won't even know it's there.
I have a nillkin glass protector but it's so thick that neither of my two gel cases fits properly over the area where it slightly wraps around the front of the phone.
I have a rhino shield on mine and I'm pretty happy with it.
went ahead with the niilkin, thanks for the advice guys.

Jinxed it. Dropped my phone today and the screen shattered... but the screen protector is basically fine save from a couple puncture holes =/
Folks
Recently I bought the UAG Maverick Case for my Note 4, and it's stunning beauty made like to resist any space impact with a style.
The screen protector film came with it is indeed offers decent protection, but it's terribly one fingerprint/smudge magnet. My hands do sweat at times and indeed gets oily often. So y'all can imagine how awkward using a beast.
Also the touch feel has been horribly ruined with the protection film, The feel of Spigen premium series is entirely different from this.
Many of the Note 4 users has said, Tempered Glass offers tough protection without taking down much the actual glass feel of the touch screen. So pals, Please do suggest me the best tempered glass solutions which covers a bit out of the display area (black screen) with the UAG Case on.
No Halo effects, Fingerprints and smudge shouldn't be attracted and must be wiped like in actual screen.
Thanks

I have a UAG case with a Moshi iVisor edge-to-edge protector on. Application was easy and there is no halo. It fits fine with the UAG case. However, please note that I have not tried taking the case off, and I have only been using this setup for just over a week. Others have reported that the iVisor can get dust under it through time, as it only has adhesive round the edges and not under the glass. As yet, I have not experienced this. An alternative might be the Momax or the Tough Armour as I believe these do have adhesive under the glass as well as the edges. I purchased a Momax too, but have not tried it as the iVisor is perfect at the moment. (Note that the first Momax had the capacitive buttons wrong (menu instead of recent apps), but on the one I got that has been corrected). Have a good read through the many threads on Tempered Glass protectors, as others have experimented with different brands and also use UAG cases.
I bought an arcadia full screen protector. It did not work well with UAG. Popped the glass up. I loved the look of the glass that I got rid of my 2 uag cases.

Thanks Kinsman-UK giving your view on Moshi iVisor! :good: Just can't think of getting dust/debris getting through the edges as it may result more damage than actually keeping the screen bare. I've checked the Momax website and found Glass Pro XS Screen Protector but turned down no luck to order one
I ordered my Momax from shop.brando.com - they seem to still have black and white versions available, post internationally.
Is that all?
I've gone nuts selecting over tons of brands, seriously picking up the right phone was never been this hard.
My prime needs are,
1. Compatibility with UAG Case over the phone. It must not pop of even on the small impact with the case.
2. It must sit some area more than actual screen (black area).
3. Good bonding with screen and don't let any dust/debris let through the groves or edges of the protector.
Somewhere landed between some premium and well known brands, viz
iloome, Moshi, MOMAX, intelliARMOR
I don't know about other people's experience but I have dropped my Note 4 three times in the past week (I know! Unbelievable, never dropped my old phone once, and then I get a new one and...) - anyway, the Moshi was not affected by the drops and is still firmly attached. I've only been using it for a couple of weeks, and haven't had the UAG off an on yet, but it seems fine. I think the Momax will probably be even better as it has adhesive all over, but I haven't tried it on yet because the Moshi is fine for the moment. The only thing I would say is that when applying the Moshi I left the phone out of the case for two days, and applied pressure all around the edges to make sure it was well adhered before putting the UAG on. This is just my experience, so just FWIW and YMMV etc etc
EDIT: Note that the Moshi does have a 'dot matrix' pattern in the glass (something to do with the way it is strengthened I think), but it is only noticeable if you look closely in direct sunlight. I only mention it because some people may see this as a problem - doesn't bother me (in fact I struggle to see it at all in normal use).
I use the Spigen slim Armor Case with the "Ultimate xplosion proof" crystal clear screen protector and have not lost any noticeable sensitivity at all. Not trying to convince you... just what I use and 100% happy with it

Hello,
I am wondering if there are any screen protector out there, that cover only the screen? Like the one you get with the slickwraps if you buy skins for, lets say the G4? https://slickwraps.com/leather-series-wraps-skins-for-lg-g4.html
I mean the screen protector that goes OK with the front skin applied?
Thanks!
If you know for any good ones that cover ALMOST the whole screen, I am up for that too!
I know that Nillkin CP covers the whole, but I don't like it.. So any other that is similar to that,..?
I purchased a full screen protector a few months ago, worked flawlessly. I ended up cracking it and replaced it with one from the same ebay seller, now my case causes it to flex and pull away from the screen. I bought a spare just in case, that one too, has the same issue. I ended up buying one that wasnt a full screen protector to leave room for the case lip.
Following the other thread on screen protectors, i grabbed this guy:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VT8CP6Y
No halo effect, allows nicely for a case (i use a Spiegn Tough armor for reference). It does extend above and below the screen, but should be pretty close to what you are wanting, while not looking like grabage at the same time..
Was also looking for something similiar so I just read around. Just ordered this myself:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QU4N0EI/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2SFKRF5TPZMT5
So once I get it in ~2 days I can report back.
Thanks for all the replays guys! @Divine_Madcat @FiniteDGk @custommx3
I have order the Spigen Neo Hybrid Ex bumper, as my Dbrand skin for the back came today, and I love the look of it. (I saw a video on YouTube a while ago for this combination, and I've fallen in love with it... So now I am waiting for that to come..
What I want is basically a screen protector that does not look to funny when it's on..
I've had Orzly on my OnePlus One, but it cracked from nowhere.. I swear I watch all of my phones, as I am very allergic to scratches, lol. It started to collect to much of dust and I was using it together with the Diztronic TPU case (I thought that was match made in Heaven at that time)..
S6 Is by far the best phone I've tested so far, the only thing that drives me crazy is to protect the screen..
I want a screen protector that play's nice with the bumper as its Spgien same as yours I assume it will play out nice. @Divine_Madcat
Anyway I've ordered Nillkin tempered glass (Not the CP one) from Aliexpress, I hope it is Original (It should be).. And I really hope it will play nice with the bumper, and look decent.

Ordered Mocolo Glass for S6 ?
I get all mine from Xtremeguards and love them. I have had them on every phone I have had in the past few years. You can always find a 99% off code or 98% off code as well.
Try imos glass protectors. They are a Taiwanese company that use corning gorilla glass and AGC glass , and have no halo issues . They even have 3d curved glasses for s6 edge that covers the 3ntire screen including edge. Crazy ! Check out my S6 with IMOS AGC glass with no halos :

From what I've seen, it it only comes down to Yootech and Intelliglass pro as the best options. What do you guys think? Thanks again!
I just got my iCarez kit in the day I got my phone. Very precise regarding screen fitment and coverage. I don't see any excessive glare, no colour loss nor brightness. Just my 2 cents.
I got the Incipio. It's very thin, scratches from going in and out of my pocket, but doesn't raise on the sides. Plus, dropped my phone on the freeway on the motorcycle and it scratched up the protector, the case and ground part of the aluminum body on the right bezel, but my screen is good. I thought for sure it would have been in a million pieces and I would've had to just get the SIM card out and toss the phone.

intelliarmor for the win here
I love the fit of the intelliglass pro, but they seem to crack VERY easily. I'm on my second, and both had cracks within the first couple days without the phone having been dropped. It cracks first around the edges where the slight curve is.
I tried several, including the Yootech, and the best for me by far has been the Spigen Full Coverage (never tried the Intelliglass pro since it was so similar to the Spigen). Perfect all around, especially if you're using a case. Sturdy, no halo, no dots, no scratches.
I've tried them all and Spigen is the best I've used. Full coverage and no issues with fit using multiple cases.
It appears there are already a ton of screen protectors, and I definitely want to get one. My preference is glass or a hybrid, not a tpu. I've been looking at the zaggs but they are expensive. However, I have one on my galaxy watch 4 and I have yet to have even a scratch on it (self healing).
So, what are you getting, did you get?
Whitestone Dome Premium Film is what I ordered. Will install it as soon as my S22U arrives
I have the Whitestone Dome glass 2pk from Amazon and it offered like a 30% off coupon I believe. I received the S22 Ultra delivery late in the day, so I haven't had a chance to set it up yet. But early tomorrow morning I'll install the Dome glass. It was perfect on my N20 Ultra, so I'm sure it'll be great on the S22 Ultra.
Got the Amfilm UV tempered glass. I'm terrible with these installations and botched the install. Good thing Amfilm has a lenient warranty unlike Whitestone. I also see a white halo around the fingerprint scanner when looking at white screens probably due to the the provided weight. They also didn't provide speaker stickers. Would probably not recommend Amfilm for this phone.

I installed the Amfilm and had a few bubbles appear. Did not need speaker sticker cause the glue never leaked passed the glass which was great. I contacted Amfilm and they are sending me a replacment glass for the one that had the bubbles. I also used Amfilm on my Note 20 Ultra and it works great. I used to use whitestone dome but it would always start to peel away on the edges. The Amfilm did not have that isssue and would last longer than a year with no peeling.
Zagg Fusion Curve. Had the guy at best buy put it on and it looks good. I don't have the patience anymore to install them and bubbles drive me crazy.
I have the Whitestone tempered glass on my S22 Ultra and was a flawless install and works great, some people have reported issues with the Whitestone tempered glass one with the FPR, but I have no issue with it.
If y'all get a good case you wouldn't even need a screen protector. I have had the s7 Edge, Note 8 and S20 Ultra and every time I traded in to Samsung the phones were in prestine condition without a single scratch anywhere on phone.
Th s7 Edge and Note 8 spent their life in an OtterBox Commuter case and most of every day in my jeans pocket while at work. With the S20 Ultra and S22 Ultra I stepped up to the OtterBox Defender Pro with belt clip. My 20 Ultra fell on the concrete floor of our restaurant kitchen 3 times and never sustained scratch because the OtterBox protected it.
I also never wipe my screen with anything but a microfiber eye glass lens cleaning cloth. I use Zeiss lens cleaner as well because it doesn't have alcohol and safe for eye glass coatings so it good for your phone screen too.
Not a marketing rep for OtterBox it's just my experience with their cases. The Commuter is good for people that want to keep phone in pockets. The Defender is good for people that work in harsh conditions and want to wear it on there belt. Point being a good case will save your phone in a fall and that fancy screen protector is not going to save your phone. The point is it is supposed to protect against scratches. But I have had 4 phones with Gorilla glass from Samsung and never scratched any of them with normal usage and having a good case protecting the phone.
The most important thing is never ever wipe your phone screen with a paper towel or chemical cleaners like Windex. Always use microfiber and lens cleaner. You don't need to carry lense cleaner around everywhere you go. Just use it when you home and carry the tiny microfiber cloth in your back pocket when on the go.
That's my experience on with phones without screen protectors. If your really want a screen protector by all means go buy one but they are not really necessary unless your extremely careless and don't have your phone in a case.
I like Matte finish to get rid of some glare so I went with the Skinomi Matte wet install film.
I went with the Mowei tempered glass screen protector. It comes in a pack of three and a very nice installation cradle to ensure a perfect application. I chose it over Whitestone or amFilm because it covers the entire front without the U-shaped cutout around the front camera.
I like this TPU (https://amzn.to/3sdn6HQ) screen protector. Took about 30 seconds to install, no bubbles, no orange peal... honestly looks like nothing is there. No edge lifting either for the 3 days I've had the phone so far.

Is it full adhesive? Or does it have the glue over the fingerprint reader?
it is full adhesive it came out nice. I rescanned my fingerprints after and works great.

Good to hear as I ordered this one and the Whitestone. They're both waiting for my graphite Ultra to arrive. I will try the ZAGG first since it's not as involved as the other.
One question though... Is the ZAGG glass, hybrid, or film? I won't open it until it's time to put it on.
Spigen Neo Flex. I've been using it since s8. It's reall easy to apply (wet application with possible realignment) and fairly durable for a plastic.
On a side note - it seems to be a little bit harder than neoflex for n20u which i was previously using
I had a matte hydrogel screen protector installed. Been on the matte screen protector bandwagon since the OG Galaxy S

I just got this same one last night from Verizon. Looks good and doesn't feel like a plastic film at all. FP sensor works wonderfully as well.
I remember when I had the Note 20 Ultra and my screen got a micro scratch on the first week.. I was so upset. Always got to have a screen protector on now. For my S22 Ultra, I got the ZAGG InvisibleShield for $50.. with lifetime replacement at bestbuy.
