Help me to get back my tablet. - General Questions and Answers

Hi, I have got a tablet called General Mobile E-Tab 4.
I bricked it with installing a rom on itself. It was a mistake but I was too lazy to do it with my pc. So, when I open it, it stays on animation. When I reach to recovery mode, there are three options: reset, format data, format cache
How can I install the ROM now? Please help me.

Wtf? No ****** reply!??! I thought this forum is helpful but now i know its piece of ****!!

I'll assume you're talking about the tablet, not the forum. It's not the forum's fault that you bought some hunk of garbage then bricked it because you were too lazy to do something correctly.

Qtek8310 - White Screen

Hello! Sorry for my English. I have a problem. not included phone Qtek8310, just white screen and all. Hard Reset not working. In Bootloader does not include: (. Help me please.
Thank you in advance
Ok so what were you trying to do?
And what does white screen mean? Do you see the bootloader screen with the three band color? Or can you see the splash screen when you first power up the phone?
Sounds like a ROM update gone bad.
Bootloader, I see none. When you sign a white screen. Computer saw no phone.

How did this happen? What were you trying to do? That may be helpful in solving this problem!
This was probably due to the fact that I wrote in the program TeraTermPro format ALL. After that phone ceased to be included

Sorry my friend - this phone is now completely dead. I've heard of people trying to open their phones and trying to manually revive the OS by hooking up to the chip via JTAG, but I don't think anyone has been successful. See this thread, and you will know what I mean that the phone is dead. Sorry.
Thank you. very sorry .....

YES! TeraTermPro will kill the phone with the format ALL command. It happened to me recently but was lucky my phone was still under warranty. Send it to service center for replacement of the mother board. Luckily they did know what happened.
I am sorry about your case and good luck to you.

[q] bricked nexus s [help!]

Ok, I am officially freaking out i bricked my nexus s while doing a new rom install i don't know whether its a hard or soft brick. It happened around last week and I tried the Unbrickable Resurector method but to no avail it doesn't recognise my device! Any suggestions would be apreciated
up to where does it boot up? can you access custom recovery or not? if you need help from people here you must give all info needed.
or use the search button and try all available solutions. it's not hard to do it.
it doesnt turn on at all it does however appear to show signs of live when on charge as it heats up
OK one thing we know for sure is that it is hard-bricked. The link is below.

Doesn't matter. I remember that it used to be you have to have 10 posts before you can post links. That is all.
That isn't going to work because the Mod doesn't detect the phone.
i have the same problem here. this happend completely randomly on one reboot. i suppose this could be a bootloader problem as i can see a brief flash on the LED display when i click the power button or plug the usb cable. but after that - nothing. ive tried unbrickable, but my system doesnt recognize a usb device at all.

[Q] The hardest rescue

Hi everyone!
Just a little question, as I'm facing this situation right here:
is there a way to revive a phone that doesn't boot, nor lets me access recovery mode or fastboot or bootloader?

Which phone are you talking about?
I'm talking about the Alcatel V860. It's absolutely an uncommon model, that's the reason why I'm speaking in general.

Please ask specific questions as its related to the phone model. I'm not hopefully about it. You can get it serviced by "bootloader repair" Should be about 40$.
Some of the more common phones can be unbricked on your own.

I've already posted here, but I received only one answer, so I decided to speak more general just to know if it is theoretically possible to rescue a phone in the situation I described.
Anyway, do you think that there is no way that the pc can communicate with a phone that doesn't even reach the bootloader?
Ok, I'll ask a different question: the phone I'm talking about ended up this bad while flashing an official OTA.
How is that possible?
I thought there was no possible way that an OTA messed with the bootloader, or the recovery... or fastboot! Doesn anyone know what could possibly have gone wrong during the update?

Actually, it seems like your phone is bricked, there are some methods to unbrick some phones but I don't know if they would work for you, just try to do a Google search how to unbrick a bricked phone, and it might return with some useful stuff, try everything that's possible, because nothing worst can happen over a brick(except it can blast in your hand if you connect a high voltage in place of battery)(lol, it won't happen! )
Hit Thanks if I helped sent from my SM-T211
Already done that, I'm giving up if my pc cannot communicate with the phone.
At this point I'd only like to know how could an OTA corrupt the bootloader.

Only thing you can do now is, go to store(from where you buy your phone, act dumb and tell them that this won't turn on, they might replace your phone!

It wasn't me, it was my cousin, who flashed an OTA which apparently corrupted all the layers of the OS. I believe him, but I find it incredibly difficult to happen, so I wanted to know if that could really happen.

It means that the flashing went bad and now the phone is unusable. I cannot make it communicate with the pc. No access to recovery nor bootloader nor fastboot nor anything.

Try smart phone flash tool(on pc), I recently came across a thread in which author said he have a hard bricked xolo phone and it don't boot to anything, but responds to SP Flash tool. Give it a try, if might work.
I don't have it's link, Google it

Please, please, please, help. Spent 7 hours on this and still don't know what to do.

So here's the thing, I'll try to be as short as possible. I was watching this video of this guy (how to root the nexus 5 (safest method)) showing how to root the nexus 5. But everything went wrong and I accidentally wiped the entire phone, now I have no OS.
I have installed a bunch of drivers and stuff here, but don't know how to use them. Please, if someone can give me a stupid proof solution to this, I would be very thankful.
tl;dr: I have no OS and would like to restore my Nexus 5.
Please, guys, I'm desperate. I have a test in 5 hours and already should be sleeping, but I simply can't. I've screwed everything up. Please, help.

First you need to setup adb/fastboot. Follow this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
After it's setup properly, follow this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701
This should be enough fix your device.

Both links in my signature and the post above this one.
This is hardly an issue, solved in a couple minutes. Next time do some research before doing anything to a device that you paid for.
Don't want to do your research? Then sell the Nexus 5, get a locked down Samsung device/iPhone and don't mess with it.
If that is true and you dont have a clue what ever gave you the idea to try and root your phone jesus if you aint got a clue do some homework and learn, there are walkthroughs on this site or just google it........

1. Relax. Its a nexus. This can easily be fixed.
2. We all start somewhere. When we all were noobs to this we all wiped our devices and freaked. Again don't panic. And ignore the guys cursing your noobness. But one thing is for sure - after you fix this, read before you leap.
3. As someone else recommended - there is a tool called wugfresh nexus root all in one...or something like that. Just follow the link in his post. This us a great tool and will save you some pain. Its well laid out and will fix your issues. Just follow the steps. Keep this program handy and on your computer. If you intend on flashing Roms eventually you will make a mistake and wipe your phone again and this will save your bacon.

The answer has already been given.
Choices are:
1) Learn to use fastboot. Return your device to stock.
2) Lear to use adb. push a rom.zip to your sdcard to flash via recovery
Click the link in my signature. ALL important guides are there.
Read the following:
"adb and fastboot. What is it?"
This will help you to do 1 and 2, whichever you decide.

Just basically go through all the threads linked in my signature. Theres lots of info there. What you did is very common amongst TWRP users. Its an easy fix so nothing to be concerned about, but do try to learn adb and fastboot

-2 for the guy saying "read before you leap" then suggesting a toolkit..
I'll just add, with TWRP if you have an OTG adapter you can plug a thumb drive into the phone and flash a ROM that way. Every now and again I like to start fresh and will copy a ROM onto a thumb drive, I'll wipe the entire phone then re-flash. You'll just have to Mount USB-OTG from the menu.
tbh I dont even know why people use toolkits.
'fastboot oem unlock'
'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img'
Device rooted.
Why do you need a toolkit for that?

Not everyone is comfortable using command prompt to fire lines as they think they will mess up (especially people who are new). The toolkits do these things in the background when the user clicks on a button and hence he/she thinks it's the easy/safe way around it without knowing the consequences of it.

Bumping and hoping for help?
Not knowing what condition you are in, you might have to reload Clockwork Mod or TWRP and then sideload a ROM.
