[Q] Installing apps from google play on sd card. - Other Tools & General Discussion

Hi, my friend said i should write here to get help. I have new LG L Fino with android 4.4.2, with only +/- 1,5 gb memory for apps. I was wondering if there is any way to install programs from google play directly to sd card, with out need to move it there? I will be very happy if anyone could give a solution ^^

Some apps are not meant to be install on sdcard. I keep all my utilities on internal memory and games on external. But even some games don't play well on external, so you make the call and yes there is an app that will send all your download to SD if you have root. App2sd.

But how to do it? How to install an app like App2SD and force application to install from google play directly to SD card? I have LG L Fino D290N, which have only 4gb memory (internal), but system take a bit, other apps too and user have only 1,xx GB for himself :/

Actually i have also LG L fino. I tried to direct install on SD card bt also not possibl i tried from adb method selecting sd card bt this moves all app to sd card. May be you can link your apps to SD card. Bt best option will be to root and move apps to SD which are movable. And games can be downloaded offline and later installed on SD which r huge in size. This is what i doing.

But i tried this all apps installing to phone memory only

Up. I have same problem. Link2sd can't linking apps to sd card

[Q] install apps on SD card directly

Hi,
I have a xperia m2 with rooted kitkat 4.4.2. Now I'm running out of memory, I tried to move apps on sd card, but the biggest part of the apps are still on the internel memory.
Is there any way to set install path to external memory by default, or to move the complete app on the sd card.

Click to collapse
You could look for some of that apps usually called Apps2SD in order to be able to move some apps from the phone memory to the sd memory, especially developed for tht purpose, but if you expect to be able to install apps on the external sd card, well that won't happen cause of the android design , if forbids you to do that .
Thank you!

Need Help with a Rooted LG Volt

Ok I have an LG Volt thats running Android Kitkat 4.4.2. it has like 4gb of internakl memory and I have a 32gb SD Card in it thats not being utilized. I rooted it because I read with a rooted phone you can move apps to SD Card and clear out bloatware, and I need to make space on my internal memory. I have 1gig of free space left and a game on my phone (that i actually want) is taking up another gig. I want to move that to my SD card but it only moves the app (which is only taking 3mb) it wont move the app data which is taking 1gig. How do I move that data to my Sd card?
Ive tried titanium backup but that doesnt list a move to Sd Card option. Ive tried link2sd, but link 2 SD card is greyd out and it says second partition not found (do i really need to make multiple partition on an SD card to do that? Why not just use the free space thats on its default partition?) and when I try to move it from my phone to my SD card in that program I get a failure message that says "App2SD is not supported by your device. Because your device has a primary external storage which is emulated from the internal storage. You can link the app in order to move its files to your sd card" and then sometime if I try to link it says something about os emulation.
So what I need is step by step instruction on how to move an app (including its data) from my internal storage to my Sd card on my rooted 4.4.2 lg volt. OR how to upgrade my lg volt from kitkat 4.4.2 to Marshmallow 6.0 without bricking it because I hear Marshmallow allows you to turn your Sd card into internal storage which would give me 32 GB of internal storage instead of 8 thus I can keep all my app in my new "internal storage" and not care. Thank you.
surely someone knows >.>
Search lg volt on android forums. Go to root and there's going to be a various selection of threads. Currently devs are working on CM13 I have it installed on mine and yes my SD card is now internal. CM 13 works perfectly BUT some phones may have a green tint in there camera.

How to move games' data on my sd card (android 5.1.1 ) ?

Hi,
I like to play games but they are too big so i want to know how to install my games on my sd card or simply use my sd card as my default internal memory ?
I tried gl to sd and Foldermount but it seem that they just copy the app data on my sd card but they don't move it and now i have the same data on both my internal memory and sd sd card
Sorry for my bad english and thx in advance
You can't. Most games are made so they can't be running from the sdcard. You will have to wait for a 6.0 update for your device and then use the merge sdcard to system storage option. Even then some apps block this.

Hello I just noticed that I am unable to move any apps to my external SD card. Help.

I used to be able to move some apps to the SD card but now I can't is there a solution to this? I am running 8.0.0
Did you try going into Dev settings and click force apps to SD or something like that??
Dont m0ve apps to Sd card, apps work faster when in internal memory
