I have recently been playing around with my Galaxy S III and looking at different things. My S III has been rooted using towelroot, and the other day I was trying to change the boot logo. I found one, installed it, then decided to boot into recovery mode. When it restarted, it gave me the error "System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest Verizon Wireless store for help." along with "SECURE FAIL: KERNEL." I started panicking, but I then remembered to try to flash the original ROM onto the phone using ODIN. I got into download mode, but then figured out I couldn't find a cord anywhere. I shut down the phone after booting into download mode, and it booted just fine afterwords. I then shut down the phone, and tried recovery mode once more, with no luck.
I was wondering if it was off that I can access download mode, the normal OS, but not recovery mode.

Hi,
I have a Galaxy S (I900) which I attempted to root yesterday. Stupidly, I used the wrong root kit and when I rebooted I was left hanging on the startup screen with the network logo (orange) flashing.
My boot menu was disabled for some reason but I could however access download mode - which I did. Whilst trying to rectify this I downloaded a couple of kernels that were recommended to fix the problem but to no avail.
Finally, running out of options I downloaded Odin3Execution v1.00 One-Click downloader, connected the phone and clicked start (which was also recommended to me). This completed successfully but when the phone tried to re-boot I was left with a flashing AT&T logo (which is not my carrier) and download mode no longer executes when pressing the buttons. Also, when I plug the charger in the screen just goes black.
I realise that this is my own stupid fault but i'd really appreciate some help on the matter.
(would a USB jig get me back into download mode?)
The unit has been used for about 2 months and remains quite new. It was quite stable before. Yesterday night, about half an hour after plugged in for charging and with WiFi Hotspot turned on for sharing 3G data to another netbook, the unit suddenly rebooted itself. It then stopped at the start-up screen and remained there for several minutes. I kept holding the power button for a few seconds to turn it off but it then automatically reboot itself afterwards, and stopped at the start-up screen again. It means that even complete turning off is not possible.
Trying to enter into recovery mode showed the following few lines:
# MANUAL MODE #
-- Updating application...
Copying Common Apks.
Click to collapse
and then it automatically rebooted again. It means that it can't enter into recovery mode normally.
It was possible to enter into download mode. And it was the first time this machine went into download mode. I run Odin Downloader and flashed the official stock ROM. After showing "Pass", the device rebooted itself. Unfortunately, it still stopped at the start-up screen, just showing "Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus". It is really troubesome. I have experience playing several Android devices before and it is the first time I face such troublesome problem.
The device is an official product. The biggest problem is that the original purchase invoice was lost and most likely that I couldn't get official support, repair service or replacement.
May I ask if anyone would kindly provide me some help or advice. Thanks!
Instead of going into download mode go into recovery mode and see if there are any errors. Your scenario is sounding very similar to the one I had in the past.
I just ran into a nasty snag at boot logo as well. nandroid, stock kernel and factory reset were no help. Try Odin back to Stock, it still may not get past boot logo, hold vol up and power to get into recovery and factory reset. Hope it works for you.
Unfortunately I was unable to get into recovery mode even after odin flashing stock ROM.
It rebooted itself a few seconds after displaying some lines of text. I can't see the normal recovery menu.
Last week I factory reset the tablet in the settings app (normally), it works fine before I factory reset, but after I did the factory reset, the tablet keeps on booting on the samsung logo then to a android with something working on his stomach then android robot with a exclaimation mark on its stomach. Its keep happening over and over again. At first I thought it was one of the procedure to reset, but then I keep doing it for an hour so I turned the device off. I tried to enter recovery mode, but I cant. The only mode I could get into is Download Mode. So I found this method using Odin to recover. But it wont work also. Tried all kind of Stock ROM still wont work. Ive tried one ROM that made the boot loop different, instead of loop with android stuff like before, it just stays on the samsung logo. I have a video to show you the problem that Ive been facing
***search "Samsung Galaxy Mega GT-I9200 reboot loop, no recovery menu" on youtube***
since I cant share link with you guys
In my case there is no "No Command" words at the screen.
Any suggestion on solving this?

If you cannot enter Download mode, it is most likely dead. I never managed to get my phone back if it could not enter the Download mode ?️.
S8+ G955F not going into download mode, only recovery mode is working,
phone had custom blocker inside, so flashed it with 'simple factory setting apk,
but now phone isn't going into download mode..
please help to find solution for this..??
Hey guys,
I just bought the Samsung J4+ (SM-J415F) and now have a dead phone after flashing a firmware. It doesnt turn on. I cannot put it into recovery mode. The screen is always black. This is the order of events:
1. I succesfully flashed twrp + supersu (i followed the steps from this page: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ecovery-twrp-3-2-3-1-galaxy-j4-j415f-t3876876)
2. After doing that i had a bootloop.
3. I decided to flash the following rom to get rid of the bootloop: [up_vnROM.net]_J415FXXU1ARIK_J415FOJM1ARIK_EGY_8.1_FULL (https://www.firm-ware.com/2018/10/samsung-galaxy-j4-plus-firmware-download.html)
4. This also worked successfully and i saw the android symbol for a few seconds. However, then the power went off. Now the phone is dead.
It seems like i can turn it on to download mode (screen still black tho) and connect it to odin (odin is recognizing the phone) but if i try to flash again it stucks on "setup connection". I am using odin 3.13.1. Yes I already tried to run odin as administrator but it didnt change anything.
Any ideas how to bring my phone back to life? Any help would be appreciated.
