Hi everybody!
I've got an Android 4.0.4 tablet affected by the usual apps partition full problem.
The apps partition has 25MB free of 250MB total, while the internal sdcard has 3GB free of 4GB total.
Is it possible to enlarge the apps partition shrinking the sdcard partition?
I'm actually using Link2SD method with an external sdcard, but some apps cannot be moved or simlinked so it's not a good job.
Resizing apps and sdcard partitions would be the best solution!
Thanks a lot!!

I used the MiniTool Partition Wizard H.E. to partition my sd card. My sd card is 4GB, I resized it into 2965MB so my internal memory free space is 1GB. When I flashed ICS (4.0.3) from kabalban I download 5 apps (not games) and it ate all of my free space in my phone (internal memory 198MB, free space 21MB -_-)
Please help thank you!

I have an ext3 of 512MB and it works just fine, I don't tried installing applications on the ICS ROM but it recognized those I installed on the CM 7.1.5...
Oh, and I used Gparted, you can also try using S2E to move the applications, its on the market ...

How big is your ext3 partition? As I recall, it will only work if it is less than 1Gb. Anything more is excessive, unnecessary, and non-functional

On a 16GB SD card I have a 2 GB EXT3 partition and it works just fine.
I used GPartEd to partition the card.
So I think he should try GPartEd, make sure the EXT3 partition is the 2nd one and if there are still problems try a different SD card.
You were in the same situation I was in when I had the milestone. Here is the answer.
Unlike phones like the HTC Desire the milestone does not support a2ext. Therefore. Your internal storage will always be very low. However apps that are big will automatically be moved into the ext partition so you don't actually have to worry about running out of space

There are flashable script which make the Milestone display internal memory of up to 1GB - but they are not compatible with CM
Creating an ext partition is much easier. I've got a ~520MB ext part. on HO!NO! mod an for me it is fine

Hello,
As the description says.. anyone know this problem?
Im rooted and on arhd
If i deleete some apps the problem is still here. I can download from market with no problem
This is an issue with /data or /datadata I think...
There are some threads on xda that point to the partition because the wrong size/file system and tells the os it is out of space.
Don't confuse the internal data partition where apps typically install with the space on the internal sd card (where you indicated you have 10GB of space).
The internal sd card of the tf is divided into partitions that determine all the space/permissions and what not.
As an immediate fix, try uninstalling apps you don't use at all and move apps that don't require internal storage to the SD card. This should alleviate for the time being while you narrow down the issue.
Internal memory doesn't get free even after using link2sd.
I have created ext partition and created scripts also.
Storage info shows ext2 partition shows 400+ MB free.
How to resolve?

Use mounts2sd mate..
Link2sd will link your apps to ext partition but it will not show in settings-apps section.. if you want to increase your memory means if you go in settings-apps you will see your partition size ex if your partition in 1gb then it will show 1gb in apps.. For this you have to use int2ext..
Dear..
any one can you help me..?
How to get storage or memory system like this, TOTAL is 16GB (2GB for system, 13GB /data, 13 /sdcard0).. like as combine partition of "/data" and "/sdcard0".
I can install aplication up to 13GB.
Before updated software from vendor, system partition is TOTAL 16GB (2GB for system, 2GB /data, 11GB /sdcard0) not combine partition of "/data" and "/sdcard0".
I only can install aplication up to 2GB.
I have phone with system storage on OS is like this, how can I get it to my other phone..?

You've said that you partitioned before installing link2sd but not before installing data2sd. data2sd also requires extra partition just like link2sd.
The reason link2sd being not effective is because it moves all but data to sd-card. If any of your app uses huge data it will fill your internal space quickly.
Try going to Settings -> Apps -> Sort by data size and see which apps are on top and try clearing their data. This will free some space for some time but also clear that particular app's data.
As you've pointed out installing Dalvik cache to SD would be best. In my custom ROM I've to open terminal and type a2sd install and supply option y,n,y. Most probably this will work with your ROM as well.

I think there is no way to increase internal storage but you can follow some techniques or use some apps to move applications from internal storage to SD-card.
The point is that my mobile can move apps from internal storage to sdcard, but not exactly all files. Some files like data files keep stored in internal memory. Link2sd does exactly the same if you don't buy the Link2sd plus. So there is no point to use Link2sd.
