someone could create a flashable .zip with the kernel, the modem, the libraries , and the build.prop ,
eh I been trying but it causes an error in the updater scrip I have no idea ,
if anyone has more knowledge, I provide the files and routes it only takes the updater script
the reason for this zip, easy to everyone else. to install roms of Any Other model
sorry for my bad English
The zip would need to be bumped before it could work. Once they get the bump site up and running you should be able to make a working flashable zip.

I'm not sure but I thought out it was stock kernel. There was no reason for the zip file to be bumped. Did I misunderstand?

wassup, well i think your talking about different things. The apks can be installed any time in the system. the files for a flashable system in recovery mode are system.img.
Now some apks can be intalled by comand promp pushing by code but i really dont remember the exact code lol. But i think is over here in the xoom forum.
now some apks in zip mode just need to be stored no zipped, instead of check the option "compress" look for the one named "Store" that makes a file zip but the files are inside uncompresed, that why most of people can't install apks at first.
hope this helps in something.
See ya!
I think you are looking at how to make your own flashable zips for CWM.
This link here from MODACO was like the first result in google.:

It's a pretty decent guide, and it will allow you to install apk's from CWM if you don't want to install them normally.
not too sure but...
I think there is a new program in the Dev. board called fruitcake maker. Says it backs open boot.img and system.img and rolls it into an update.zip . I don't know if that's what you're really looking for.

I have googled and feel that i have turned up with nothing. besides the updater-script what else do i have to change in META-INF folder to make my rom flashable. if someone could help point me in the right way that be great. My zip consists of a data folder, a system folder and a boot.img. i already know how to sign the zip. i just need help with the code to flash it.i keep getting error 6 in cwm

I tried but all ROMS for tipo have aroma, so I think its compicated to edit it I found one in internet so I am modifing it
you can use any updater script from any device its the update binary you need from tipo
Well, I have system folder of my phone (samsung) and everything is fine but I'm stuck with updater script. I sign the zip but that's not enough as updater script is not generated!
I have extracted files from img and I have system folders.
I'm not sure much about working on updater script and thus i can't flash my rom because I end up with errors!
I just want to make a simple flashable ROM from system and sign it!
I found some tools but they only make update zips but not a complete ROM.
I just want to format system and then flash my ROM zip and that's all but update script is troubling me.
Any help ?
Hi,
Look through this guide

If your still stuck post your question in that thread with as much info as you can and you will find the help you need there
Best of luck!
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
From CM Gapps page it says
It is possible to perform a "backup" of the Google Apps on your device and then "restore" them, but this does take additional steps which are not covered here.

I'd like to know how can I do this.
I've searched all across the forum but had no luck. It looks like some kind of trade secret.
I know that it's not just a matter of pulling the apk files. Because I can see that the zip has .apk, .jars, .so, configuration and certificate files.
I'm guessing this is done by extracting the files from a system.img.
But how is this done?
Is there some script available to build a gapps zip from a system.img file?
Another thing is that my OnePlus phone doesn't has an official LP update yet (although CM12 and their gapps work fine) so I suspect this would have to be done using the stock ROM of another device, maybe a Nexus. Is this correct?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
