Looking for a 38R ROM with color settings and CM11 theme engine? - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I'm looking for a 38R ROM with color settings and CM11 theme engine?
Any recommendation?

Stay with stock and flash Franco kernel. You can change colour with FKU Franco's app. 38R already has theme engine.

Would I need custom recovery?

Yes you need a custom recovery to flash a kernel. In order to install a custom recovery you need an unlocked bootloader.

Thanks.

Question About MultiROM help!

Hello, i have been using MultiROM for a while and had the cm11 base. But now my base is cm11s and i have installed cm11s kernel. But when i install cm11 or AOSP ROM i install cm11 kernel or stay with the cm11s?
I don't use MultiROM but I would assume you would go with the AOSP kernel since you're on a non-11S ROM.
I'm running Mahdi with AK kernel and install CM11 not CM11s

You must specify which rom is first, and which are secondaries
If you have CM11S as primary rom, you have to use the specific multirom version for cm11s
If you installed AOSP roms on secondaries, with cm11s as primary, do not share kernel nor flash a cm11s kernel on secondaries, it will not work, only use cm11 kernels for aosp

About flashing a new kernel

Hi everyone, I have a question about the Ak kernel. I an currently using the stock rom , would I be about to flash the ak kernel using the stock ROM? If so, which version should I flash? My device is rooted.

It looks like this one was the last build he did for CM11S. The full list is here.

Yes, it has CM11S in the kernel filename, as long as you're on the most recent build of CM11S (44S) it should be fine.

What should I be aware of after flashing a Kernel?

I've been researching about this for 30 minutes and still couldn't find anything that answered my question, I apologize in advance if the answers are obvious.
So the question is as the title states, what should I be aware of after flashing a Kernel on CM12.1? Will I have any issues when updating to another nightly? Or when flashing a stock-ROM ? Thanks in advance!
if you update your rom, your kernel will be replaced with one if the rom.
so you have to reflash your custom kernel

Thank you for the answer, but despites that is there anything I should be aware of when using a custom kernel? Xposed, going back to stock, etc
Nothing i know of, xposed doesnt give any problems to me when i flash a kernel so you should be good.
so its pretty save to flash a kernel

One more question if you don't mind, how can I custom my kernel settings? Currently on Squid Kernel (Moto g 2015), CM12.1
Install kernel adiutur from the playstore. With that app you change all your settings

Custom kernel flashing

Hi guys!
I'm using the lastest MIUI 7 Rom and i was wondering if I flash a custom kernel like Sensei, will the rom still work?
Also, if I flash CM13 with that kernel and then I want to go back to MIUI, will I have to flash the stock kernel?
Thanks!

My kernel works only with Miui6 as reported by @davtse as the're significant improvements on the partitions of Miui7... You don't have to flash back stock, just use MiFlash and it will handle all the fuzz of flashing back Miui.
Hope this answers your question.

I am on CM13 + Sensei.
If I want to update CM13 (dirty flash?), I don't have to flash stock kernel before doing that, right?
