[Q] Trying to Switch from S4 to M8 - Verizon HTC One (M8)

I have had Samsung GS4 for about a year now with Verizon and the screen just stopped working the other day. I had a Sprint HTC One M8 laying around and I figured I would try to switch to that. I S-OFFed it and unlocked it but I'm running into a problem because my S4 uses a micro SIM and the M8 uses a nano SIM.
I know Verizon won't give me a nano SIM because it isn't a Verizon phone so I was wondering what my options are? Can I get a new nano SIM online while keeping my number? Is cutting the SIM card down to nano size an option and does that really work? Or do I just have to try to buy a refurb Verizon phone somewhere?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Did you put the SIM card in correctly? The SIM tray is backwards in the OPO compared to pretty much every other phone.

[Q] Returning rooted and s-off phone to Verizon?

Hey guys, I have a rooted and s-offed m8 currently running viperrom. I plan on switching the phone around to another line soon.(So i would swap phones with another person on my plan, but keep my same number to clarify) Will anything the reps do flag that my phone has been modded? Also, if they will be able to know, is there anyway to return the phone to complete stock and not have the tampered sign on the fastboot screen? Or can I still switch the numbers on the phones around online and avoid taking it to the store completely?
Thanks Guys

Is the phone originally from Verizon? Phones from other carriers won't work with Verizon. T-Mobile and AT&T use GSM, and although Sprint uses CDMA like VZW, their phones won't work on VZW either.
If the phone is a Verizon phone, then switching it to another line/number should be as simple as putting in the SIM card for that line.

Yes, it is originally from Verizon. I am swapping my m8 for a G3 on Verizon. I'm not sure if the G3 has the same size SIM card like you mention .

From what I can gather, both use a micro SIM. You shouldn't have any problems.

Thanks for all the help! I'm not positive, but i think the M8 uses a nano sim, while the G3 uses a micro, which is bigger.

I think you're right. The M7 uses a micro SIM, but google searches say the M8 uses a nano SIM.

[Q] Transfer sim card from old phone to new phone

This might sound simple but I've searched and couldn't find anything. I currently own an unlocked Nexus 4 on the cricket network which holds a micro sim. I just got an unlocked Xperia Z3 compact which uses a nano sim. I want to stay in the cricket network. I know you can cut the micro into a nano. However I'm not sure if it is possible to do this and have cricket recognize it on their network. Do i need to purchase a new nano sim from cricket or can I just pop in the old cut micro-to-nano sim? I don't want to cut it and then have it not work and then not be able to put it back in the Nexus 4 and be without a phone while waiting for the new nano sim. Does this make sense? Again, this may be elementary but I just can't find anything online regarding this. And if there is a thread about this already it would be much appreciated if someone could point me in that direction. Thanks

The only reason it wouldn't work is if you damaged the SIM when cutting it down. I'm guessing they could do this for you at the store, and they might have an adapter as well. If not, you can get a SIM adapter kit for a couple bucks off eBay (USA seller), or for $4-5, a cutter with adapters.
I just ordered my Z3 Compact and am also on Cricket. I've be reading about people having good luck just taking it into the store and telling them it can use LTE. I'm hoping it's as simple as that.

[Q] HTC One M8 from Sprint to Verizon????

Folks, just a question here as I have contemplated switching phones, I have someone who has a almost new HTC One M8 from Sprint and they are wanting to sell it relatively cheap, I'm with Verizon using a Iphone 5S with sim card, is it possible to purchase the phone and stick my sim card into it and having it work on the Verizon network and get LTE?
I know they are both CDMA carriers but wasn't sure.
Thanks in advance for any answers.

Sim card question?

I just got the 1+6 coming from 1+1. I looked up the Sim card size of both, the 1 said micro the 6 is nano (foolish me didn't actually look in my 1) so I bought a new sim card straight talk pack and open the 1 after buying new sim to see I had a nano in there all along, haha the 1 can take micro or nano.
So my question is now I have 3 other simcards from straight talk, att TMobile Verizon can each of those sim cards by used to activate a different phone in the future?

I bought one of those packs. Activated mine with the AT&T sim and activated my son's phone with the T-Mobile sim. I personally wouldn't bother with the Verizon. The speeds straight talk gets from them sucks.

Thank you. That's what I figured but wasn't sure if activating one would void the others somehow, and agreed the Verizon card is in the trash, thanks again
