Thank you for your reply to help me. I successfully installed 4 roms but when I reboot it hangs with the first vibration and a white screen with green htc lettres. Does 4ext recovery does the difference?

I have installed latest 4ext recovery via the windows tool KGS Utility v8.0 because flashing the zip via cwm is aborted.
So I put the phone in fastboot and use the tool to install 4ext recovery online. Than the tool wants to reboot and I get stuck but I left the usb in and put out the battery and again in. Than via vol down and power to recovery/fastboot and now i have ext4 recovery.
Tried to install a rom but it is the same again. I won`t reboot. Please help because this is for me to difficult to get right.

before flashing the rom enable smartflash from 4ext because you are on S-ON
or flash the boot.img of the rom via fastboot command
the command is fastboot flash boot boot.img
i suggest to flash viperS 5.3.0 rom because rumrunner S-OFF method will be easy(and successfull)

solution
I fixed it myself and a little help from androidworld forum in the Netherlands.
I tried to fix it with this xda page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631861
But I came till end of step 4B. I then tried to flash with the command "fastboot flash boot boot.img" but get the message that boot.image was not recognised. The file boot.image was extracted from a ROM zip. Like the threat said put out from the tab kernel/stock the file boot.image.
Than I tried the same thing with a tool KGS Utility v8.0 earlier mentioned in my post, the same that give me the problems.
Startup the tool KGS Utility v8.0 and did step to flash a boot.image. Put the file boot.image in de tab C:\Program Files (x86)\KGS Utility\tools and run it. After flashing closed the tool KGS Utility v8.0 reboot the phone. It took a while but it reboot
Now I am on ViperS 5.2.1 with SebastianFM 1.0.4 kernel

I am hoping that I can find help out there. My phone will not load past the splash screen.
Over the last few days I have been trying to install a custom rom on my phone. I thought I was on the right track and now I have flashed it but it will not go past the splash screen. I would be grateful for any advice on how to get my phone back functioning. I would even be happy to have it back stock.
So my movements over the last few days have been as follows:
1) HTC DEV unlocked the bootloader
2) Used Hasoon2000's HTC Sensation 4G all-in-one to flash CWM.
3) Then the same tool to copy Prem Root onto the SD card and installed it via CWM.
4) Then used this post here to install JB Miui - http://miuiandroid.com/community/threads/how-to-update-upgrade-miui.15424/
Then when I rebooted it is stuck on the Miui splash screen.
At every stage I felt like things worked well and now I have that sad feeling in my stomach because I have just realized how vital my phone is.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Did u flash boot.img after u flashed the rom? Did u full wipe before flashing the rom? Also with s-on users its recommended to use 4ext recovery and in recovery, enable smartflash.
Where can I find information about boot.img - so that is a no. I am installing 4ext now.

open rom.zip and search for the boot.img
probably it is located in the kernel folder
place it in the folder where you have adb and fastboot files
now boot your device to the bootloader and connect it to pc via usb(in the hboot screen it should say fastboot usb)
in the folder where you have adb and fastboot files open a cmd window and do this command
fastboot flash boot boot.img
then
fastboot reboot
done

Firstly, I am very sorry if I have done wrong. But I couldnt just find help in other threads. I want to help a friend fix his Sensation XE Z715e. It stucks/reboots on the HTC BootScreen.
The device is Bootloader Unlocked but S-On. I read some thread and read about the RUU. I relocked the bootloader and ran the RUU. After the whole process... The RUU program said "Completed" but the device is still stuck / Reboots. Is there any other means? Please I would be glad to get early response as I am somewhere I can download any needed file now. I migth not get the chance tomorrow.
Attached is the "fastboot getvar all" details. Please help!
can you show me the detail of RUU that you've already installing..?, i mean..did you already try this RUU..?
if yes..but still stuck..
did you already tried (while your bootloader is still in unlocked state)...tried to installing a boot.img that are extracted from the last custom rom that you've using it..?
or if still stuck..did you already tried to installing a different custom recovery (ofcourse this is while your bootloader is in unlocked state too)...anyway what custom recovery do you had before..?, if before just using cwm..now just tried installing 4ext touch recovery..and after that you tried installing another custom rom...and don't forget to enable smartflash future from 4ext recovery before installing another custom rom..
if still stuck...just tried flashing a boot.img manually from fastboot.. "fastboot flash boot boot.img"

i think there's something problem in emmc partition..but i don't know what's that exactly..
i think the best way to fix that..just brought your sensation to the HTC service center..or 3rd party service center that already had a riff box / jtag tools that can flashing your sensation emmc from the beginning..
Hi,
It seems that you were going along the correct lines with the RUU you were running.
My only suggestion would be to relock your bootloader and try it again.
If it still fails , then, as JJeamy suggests , an HTC center would be the next step.

Yes, i can boot in recovery mod, and my version of my phone is 4.2.2 official. I have K2_UL, and i don't know the boost version. But my boot version is HBOOT : 2.21.0000 And radio : 1.18.40a.00.05

You flash the rom in recovery (this rom for k2ul).
After that, extract (only!) boot.img and copy it to your fastboot folder.
Flash the boot.img with fastboot with the following command:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache afterwards.
You will find all you need for fastboot in this Android.zip from attachment. Unzip it in a folder called fastboot and start cmd window there and you are good to go.
You can check before flashing boot.img if the phone is recognized with fastboot cmd
Code:
fastboot devices

ok thanks, but the problem when i installed the driver for my HTC, i'm on window 8.64bits, the installshield don't worked. He have a problem of compatibilities. Because, when y used fastboot i have a trobleshooting : waiting for device
This is a problem you have to solve yourself, as i don't have Win 8.1.
But if you do a search here on xda there are a plenty of threads about drivers and windows.
Just a few:

Hello, I had a MIUI ROM and I flashed a new version , doing the wipes and flashing it, but after the reboot, I see the HTC logo and nathing else, only the black screen.
In my bootloader appears "unlocked", saga pvt ship s-on rl, hboot 2.00.0002.
I tried to flash others ROMs and it happens the same, black screen after the HTC logo.
Thank you.
Did u flash the boot.img after flashing the roms? Since ur s-on u need to flash a rom then boot straight into bootloader and flash the boot.img then reboot. The boot img is inside the rom zip.

The Linux / ubuntu method
I had the same problem and followed the advice of the previous post this is how I did it:
1. First I made sure the fastboot programme was in my home directory
2. Then using a compression program I extracted the boot.img file from the "cm-11-20141214-UNOFFICIAL-saga.zip" rom. I also extracted it to my home directory (same directory as the fastboot program)
3. After installing the Rom and Gapps on my phone via TeamWin Recovery I immediately rebooted into the bootloader. and selected fastboot
4.I connected the phone via usb cable to my laptop.
5.On my laptop I opened a terminal for commandline
6. I entered the following command:
"sudo /home/simon/fastboot flash boot boot.img"
After the flash was successful I rebooted and CM11 is now working. I suppose the windows meathod follows similar principles.
Or use fastboot adb on windows.
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA Free mobile app
I'm totally unable to make it works. I have the "waiting for device" message, I'm reading tutorials but nothing works.
