Looking for Soft Touch Silicone Case - Galaxy Note 4 Accessories

Hello all,
I recently switched to a note 4 from an iPhone 6. Android is just a better bet for me, however I purchased the iPhone 6 silicone case made by Apple. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MGQH2ZM/A/iphone-6-silicone-case-productred
I was hoping someone could point me in a direction of a similar case for the note 4. The thinness and texture of that case were ideal for me. Any suggestions or leads would be great. Thank you all in advance. And if I offended anyone by posting an apple product I apologize, it was only used a point of reference. Cheers and the note 4 is amazing!

There are not many cases available for the Note 4 right now, it's still a pretty new phone.
Have you seen the Samsung S-View covers? I know they're not what you're looking for, but they are high quality and add functionality to the phone!

Spiegen make a great range of cases for the Note 4, specifically the hybrid types, check ebay and Amazon

The tech21 is very slim, and you like. Fits the phone like a glove and has some reported drop protection in the corners.
It's expensive though $35, and only available at the tmobile stores right now

Thanks for the suggestions. I've tried the s-view cases on the note 3 and it just wasn't for me. A great case though. My wife actual uses one on her note 4.
I right now have a spigen case on. I think it's an ultra hybrid. It's decent but not something I'll keep long term. Thanks for the suggestion though.
I also haven't seen the tech21, I'll have to get out to the store and check it out. Thanks for the suggestions to all and if you run across any silicone cases please let me know. Cheers!

Waterproof cases and bags/pouches

Anyone know of any waterproof cases like the Otterbox preserver or lifeproof being developed for the Note 4? Anyone know of any waterproof bags or pouches that will fit the note 4? Or even works/seals out water?
I ordered an ipad mini waterproof bag/pouch that should be arriving today. I'll update when I get a chance to try it out. That seems to be the only option so far for making the Note 4 waterproof.

There are plenty of options for pouches out there without having to resort to one made for an iPad Mini. A quick search on Amazon will bring up several of them. Here are two of them:
JOTO Universal Waterproof Case Bag
Says it fits the Note 4, and it has great reviews.. Since there are several reviews that mention that it fits the Note 3 (without a case), I would wager that it does work with the Note 4 (also without a case).
DandyCase Waterproof Case
That one fits the Mega, so it should have no problem with the Note 4. Great reviews too.

I have an otterbox defender on my note 4. So the total length goes up to 6.5" x 3.75" approximately. My ipad mini waterproof pouch just came. My phone is mostly usable even with the pouch. There's a slight problem with being able to push the side volume and power buttons, as well as pulling down the notification shade. I think it's due the tightness/taughtness of the plastic - there's no slack.
I might try a pouch made for 7" tablet, instead of an 8"-incher. It'll be a tight fit and probably have even more tightness issues. All of the other pouches, even for the Galaxy Mega 6.3", were too small for my Note 4 with my otterbox on.
A waterproof case like the Otterbox Preserver would be best.

Gotcha. In your original post, you didn't say that you were looking for something that would fit the Note 4 with an Otterbox Defender, rather that you were looking for something to fit the Note 4. That's why I posted those links. Thanks for clarifying your needs. Knowing all of the details is important for people as they try to help.

I found this on amazon. The medium is just slightly bigger than the phone and is clear on both sides: http://www.amazon.com/LokSak-Waterproof-Pouch-Pack-4-5/dp/B000BT80U2/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
This what i ordered and arrived today: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L1R5UPG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . It's unusable because it's a little too big and the backside is opaque.

Not a case I would trust my phone to. Reviews for their other cases are poor, citing an inability to use the phone while it's in the case.
I don't think any phone can be used, with a waterproof case or pouch that has a touchscreen. Capacitive touchscreens use small electrical currents if I'm not mistaken, and when wet, the screen on any waterproof device goes weird. I have the Gear 2 which is water resistant, and I can't use the screen when it has water on it otherwise it goes all weird

There are actually many waterproof cases and pouches that are designed so that you can use your smartphone's touchscreen. In fact, essentially all of the good quality ones allow that. Of course, when the screen protector on the case gets wet, it can be difficult to use the screen for the reason you mentioned. But when dry, a waterproof case of any decent quality will still allow you to use the screen.
Bring up the post.. hopefully there will be many waterproof case coming [emoji1]

Verus Thor is the best case for the Note 4

there I said it.
-fits perfectly
-protects, like seriously
-not too thin, not too thick, just right
-not slippery, adds hand fitting design, holds well
-not fugly too thick for the sake of protection
-doesn't cost an arm and a leg
-isnt a lint or dirt magnet
-nothing crazy like waterproof or seethru
-protects your camera too, and front screen
-won't scratch your bezel
I just have to share this as many of you are still wasting time and money trying out diff cases. I suggest getting yourself a Thor first then knock yourself out with experimenting with all the others if you must. but for now, Thor is the best.
other companies really failed us on this one. they just wanted to release cases faster than they can test them out. turning us into guinea pigs.
Im sure that it doesnt have tech21 material on it. Tech21 cases are probably better than any cases out there and it has evidence with videos..
Pics?
I have to agree about the Tech21 case. I have it and it is light years away from the others I tried. Very nice case for the Note 4.
lol so superb
Agreed with LeoNote4 100%. I haven't removed the case since I got it. Much better feel than the Spigen cases. I have all of the Spigen cases and UAG Scout. May try the Tech21 Impact Tactical.
Anyone know if either of these will fit if I am using the OEM wireless charging cover?
Yes a very nice case and I really like it but I hate to try to find a holster to fit that.

gpo1956...I don't think the case will fit with the charging cover. The note 4 fit with the Thor is tight. Fits like a glove.
Bought the Thor and IronShield Day 1 on Amazon. Loved the Thor soo much bought another. Haven't searched for a new case, nor taken it off since.

at some point, a company has to find the perfect balance over one perfect feature. tech21 major design flaw is it's design. it prides itself and rightly so on total protection of the device. this comes at a huge compromise in design. in addition to that dull appearance, the case also creates a lot of smudge from your hands and fingers. it gets annoying to clean up everytime and it looks too gross to show others.
users would find themselves looking for a case that still provides decent protection, maybe bulletproof is overkill, but just enough safety feature and still covers all the other points. nobody said its perfect in all areas, but what Thor provides is that reasonable balance in design, protection, grip, price without compromising so much on one or two features.
Bought this case in silver on ebay. Selling priced at $23.95(shipping included). This is the best one for the Note 4 so far

Umm except you forgot the fact that its thick and ugly lol. Rinkle slim is my favorite one so far. I mean I got a beautiful looking phone and I'm not gonna put that kind of case on it. But that's just my opinion.

I have the Tech21 Impactology wallet case and the OEM charging back; regrettably it does not fit but it's my favorite case with the normal back cover.
Can anyone using the Verus Thor case recommend, ideally from experience, a good car mount? In part because of the curved sides, it's difficult for me to judge the case's effective width use in a car mount.
TIA

only $16.95 now still worth the money??
I'm still a fan of the Otterbox Defender and the UAG cases. I have used both on my Notes. I don't mind the additional thickness in exchange for protection. I have dropped my Note 3 from chest high onto my concrete driveway with each case and the phone has survived just fine. I have gotten out of my car and forgotten that my phone was in my lap, only to have it drop onto the concrete. No problem!! I have seen all of the video's and listened to the claims of other cases, but I can personally attest to the fact that the 2 cases I have mentioned will protect your investment should you ever drop it.

[Q] UAG case vs Samsung vs Verus for Note Edge?

Hi, I currently have a Note Edge and a Samsung Flip Wallet case cover I got for about 20$ in an online retailer in Korea (since I live in Korea).
I heard UAG cases are pretty good, and protective. I currently use the Flip Wallet case since I do not need to reach high to power it on/off, because it turns itself on/off. But I have noticed some scratches on the Edge side (not the display), so I'm thinking of a new case.
I also saw that Verus cases are good, too. I desperately need help to choose my case. Thanks!

Hello,
I'm one of those people who buys many cases for their phone. When I had my Note 3, I had about 7 or 8 different cases that I switched to every now and then. I ran across the UAG case on eBay and ordered. The UAG case instantly became my favorite, it became my daily driver and basically the only case I used after that. I liked the style, protection and how well it stood up. When I saw the UAG case for the Edge I didn't even think twice about ordering. My wife ordered me a Verus after reading reviews on it while she shopped for cases for her Edge. It offers great protection, easy to pocket(very smooth) and is a beautiful case. The Verus is too smooth for me and I see the potential for it to be dropped. If they made the other Verus cases like for the iPhone I would definitely order, but for now nothing beats the Maverick in my eyes. Would like to see the Maverick in other colors beside clear, I'd order them as well Hope this helps out

I`m using the Verus Case since one Months, on my other Phones i`m only using Spiegen Cases, in my opiniun the Verus is really same quality! Love it, smooth and easy to use on our Edge!
I have the black Verus case for my black Note Edge and it looks beautiful. I love the way the left side has a bit of a curve to it where the volume buttons are. I already bounced my phone off some concrete from about a 5 foot drop (it was in my lap as I was getting out of a truck). It bounced off a few corners and landed face down. Between the Verus case and the Skinomi screen protector, you can't even tell that happened. No damage to anything. Granted it was only a 5 foot free-fall, but this was the 3rd or 4th day I'd owned the phone and I swear by the Verus. My friend immediately went and bought one for his Nexus 6 after watching my Edge bounce unharmed across some pavement.
I just got my verus shipped as well. I can only judge by the look but i recon my edge is rather good protected wearing it.
As long as it doesnt fall on the edge, that is (but there will be no decent looking case protecting the edge a 100%)!
My wife just commented "gosh, it´s even bigger now" but she is always complaining about the size of my toy
So my verdictabout the Verus case: decent look - promising protection!
I think the raised portion will prevent the edge from making contact with the ground.. The only thing I'd be worried about is something else's edge coming into contact with my Edge's edge..

Thanks everyone, ordered my UAG case and I'm excited for it! Even though I could've got the Verus for like 15usd because Verus is a Korean company, I want to try a UAG since I've never tried it and I think both designs are good and they offer excellent protection.
i just got my edge. the guy i got it from had the verus black on black. i like the color and composition of it but i personally don't like the curved sides and how the corners kind of bulge out more than the middle. i understand it was designed that way for better grip and slip but i am gunna be looking for one that has a straight left side but kinda the same build
Verus [Heavy Drop Protection] Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Case, the case is really good, nice design, high quality
Black Verus Case Beautiful
I purchased the Incipio Dual Shine Pro case had trouble with the black liner around the Camera coming off peeling and making a mess. Thought once peeling stopped case was nicer without the liner around the camera. I now have purchased the Verus Heavy Drop case in Black. I love the Verus case very high quality. Absolutely no complaints in my opinion a far superior case. I recommend it highly. It is flawless.
I had the incipio and now have the UAG. I easily prefer the UAG case, stylish sturdy and a conversation starter. Haven't put the Incipio back on since using the UAG.
I have had the UAG case for 4 days now and I love it!! It adds the right amount of grip to the phone, great protection and not to much extra weight. Not to mention that it looks ass kicking and I have been getting a lot of people to notice the phone because of the case. I had a UAG for my note 3 and love it for that phone as well. Can't go wrong with it!
I used the UAG for a couple of month and love it. The only drawback is it has a very rugged feel and width to it.
I had a Versus case and finally tried it out a few days ago. Imeditaly it gave my phone a different feel, I would say almost a more stock feel, compared to the rugged feel of the UAG. I like how the Versus has a very smooth back cover, where as the UAG has many indentations. Like someone mentioned earlier, the Verus is very slick on the backside, but I don't see the phone slipping out of your hands because of it. Even if it did, with the amount of protection on the corners, this case is going to give you all the protection you need. Also, the Versus has better access to the heart rate monitor, and allows you to place your finger on the sensor more flush. Finally, I do like how the Versus has a slight curve inwards on the left side, which makes it a little more comfortable when holding the phone with your left hand compared to the UAG.
Overall both cases are going to protect your phone from a 5ft fall, and both add a good amount of width to a already wide phone. You cannot go wrong with either case. I would say if you want a smoother feel go with the Verus, if you want a heavy duty feel go with the UAG.
u can put a screen lock app on the edge so u don't have to reach for the top.

I didn't realize this was going to be so hard. What I would like is an OEM Note Edge s-view wireless wallet. So far I have not been able to find if they even exist. This is my first time in Samsung territory and too many choices sound too much the same. I have searched for this by also adding Note Edge 4 ... then I end up spending hours digging through Note 4 products.
If you know anything about this issue, please let me know, or even just tell me where to look. Thank you for your time

Are Stalion cases any good? (great reviews but never heard of them...)

Has anyone tried the Stalion cases? This one has 4.8 out of 5 stars, which is almost suspiciously high for a brand I've never heard of and has never been mentioned here:
http://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Case-Shockproof-Resistance-Protection/dp/B00V9QGFJO/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8
Thanks
I have tried that case. It's really good. It's a lot like the similar model from Spigen. Here's a link to my review with some pics: http://www.amazon.com/review/R54CURJ07D1UQ/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm
Stalion makes lots of different things. They're all kind of knock-offs, but fairly decent quality knock-offs.
So many 5-star reviews for that case and so little written about it outside of Amazon, though... Kind of makes me suspicious.
I see you've reviewed a million things, all with 4- or 5-star scores: http://www.amazon.com/gp/pdp/profile/A2LIWJ0XZF0EO1/ref=cm_cr_rdp_pdp
Not saying that's bad, maybe you've been very lucky! But it still makes me a bit uneasy.
It looks very similar to this case that I use daily (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UXQEPIO). I like it more than my Spigen Ultra Hybrid which it is very similar to. Only bad thing is that the clear TPU edge is turning slight yellow from the Sun.
Just my two cents, I purchased a poetic case, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WASKRKS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00 , 4.6 out of 5 stars. Received it and was not happy with it. But I am not a fan of the flip cases. It advertises you can answer calls without opening the case, which is true, but you have to press really hard for the screen to read your input. Not worth the $10 price tag. Here is the link to my amazon review http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-r.../ref=cm_cr_pr_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00WASKRKS I said all that to say this, when purchasing something to protect a $600+ device, go ahead and go with a brand you know and trust or one that has a good reputation. I wouldn't stray too far from that.
I hadn't heard of them either until recently. I'm part of a "deal club" that offers discounted prices for "honest" reviews of the items. I've ordered 3 cases from them; a belt/clip holster combo for the Note 5, the Note 5 version of the case you listed, and last night I ordered their S6 Edge battery case.
Honest opinion about the two that I do have (the clear one and belt holster combo); for the price I paid ($1-2 each) you can't go wrong. The "Secure Holster Shell & Belt Clip Kickstand Combo" one, fits well, nice and snug. The only issue I had with it was the little kickstand on the case, wiggles in place. It locks well but it moves in it's slot while closed.
The clear case, however, doesn't have a hole for the microphone on the bottom of the phone (the main microphone). It took me a few seconds to realize what was going on after I called someone and twice they couldn't hear me. I looked at the bottom of the phone and sure enough, there is no cut out for the microphone. I emailed the company to see what their response is but that was just yesterday. Besides that major issue, the case fits pretty damn good. It doesn't add much bulk and it has the right amount of stickiness to prevent slipping from your hands. In Stalion's defense, I had the same issue with a Verus case I ordered for my LG G4.
The reason you're seeing a bunch of reviews for them is that they are trying to get their name out by offering discounts so people would review them. Since they haven't responded to my message regarding the microphone hole oversight, I haven't posted my review. I'm hoping it was just a bad batch as no other reviews make any mention of the microphone hole.
As far as the battery case I ordered for the S6 edge, I won't receive it till Thursday so I can't provide any insight. I may not even have a chance to use it as I'm trying to sell my S6 Edge (I already have a Note 5)
Hope that helps
Thanks meccanikal, that's pretty helpful

Good holster for LG V10 - Seidio Note 4 Surface Case

I love the Seidio Surface case/holster combos (Best Buy sells them as Platinum). I've had one for every phone I've owned since the Evo 4G. I just got a V10, and I'm kind of bummed they haven't made one for it yet. They also make holsters for naked phones (no Surface case); with the V10 being fairly tough, I was thinking of just going that route (plus, I just switched to Jump on Demand, so since I won't have to sell my phone when I'm done with it, I don't care if it gets a few scuffs ). But alas, no naked holster is available either.
I'm upgrading from a Note 4, and I decided what the heck, let's see if it's a close fit or not. And what do you know, it's a perfect fit! Keep in mind, this is the holster from the Note 4 Surface case/holster combo - the holster is made to fit a Note 4 in a Surface case. This likely won't work with the holster for a naked Note 4 or a Note 4 Dilex holster (probably too big). I have attached photos of the fit (sadly taken from my work iPhone 5 - I could have really used the V10's camera in this low light). It may seem from the photo that the latch is loose, but I can assure you, it holds the phone very securely (I've been walking around with it for a week now). I'll post a video when I get off the road that will show how tight it is. That said, I'm not taking any responsibility if your phone falls out
Normally these combo sets run $40. But right now Best Buy is clearing them out for $16:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/platinu...lack/9946123.p?id=1219452921267&skuId=9946123
Just throw away the case and you've got your holster!
Interested in seeing the video... Might make the purchase

I literally just posted a request for something similar. (yes I made an accessory 'request' thread lol... Fat chance I know) Glad to see I'm not the only one thinking along these lines
Note 3 Seidio Holster works too with a cased V10.

Just throw away the case and you've got your holster!

guess its safe to assume at this point that a video is not coming...?
IPhone 6+ holster combo from best buy is even better no gap at the top see pictures. On sale for $16
That looks really nice!
Sent from my pretty nifty brand new LG V10
I got the Note 4 belt clip, works great. My Note 3 clip was too small.
Does it only come in black? Yes, heading over to the Seidio site to go look for myself, just asking here.
mea cupla, didn't read the entire thread. I see what you're talking about.
I picked up the iPhone 6 Plus holder mentioned above at Best Buy today for $16. It is indeed a better fit. Now I can sell the old holster when I sell my Note 4
Thank you so much for sharing this. Not even sure I want this phone yet, but holsters are a must for me! Seidio holsters are my go to brand and this is exactly the info I wanted to see.
