Upgrade your iMate JAM/XDA Mini series internal RAM from 64MB to 128MB with our upgrade service. During the upgrade process we remove the existing 64MB and install 128MB. This memory upgrade does NOT require our proprietary driver and is fully recognized by the OS (121.39MB Available). This unit uses low voltage hi-speed BGA memory, so stacking is not available and 128MB will be the maximum capacity.
Check this site:http://www.pocketpctechs.com/main~unit~O2_XDA_Mini-287~area~upgrades-ram~item~JAM-064-128RAM.htm
does anyone tried this already?? [/quote][/b]
I'm not sure if this was discussed in this forum but I think it was in Howardforum. Expansys does/did sell units upgraded by pocketpctechs
Assuming this 'operation' is still done, I would have thought that it is no longer cost effective to do so(?)
ram up grade

It's probably near impossible to DIY it unless you are well versed in electronic circuit engineering...and you being able to get hold of the large memory chip!
There is no "memory module", that could be plugged or unplugged. Two chips HYB25L256160AC are soldered on board. Those, who want to perform upgrade himself need to have SMD rework station and pair of new memory chips - HYB25L512160AC. And one small SMD resistor should be also installed on empty place near CPU(it was discussed).
It's not possible for non-experienced person. However - if someone needs chips to do it - try to put your request on HKinventory.com site - but I'm not sure, if someone will be interested to supply less, than 20 chips ... but you can get price <$10 for chip.
Hello !
Someone got the same problem ?

corrupted my 8GB Sandisk Ultra II after 3 days of use.
The card could be read INSIDE of my Raphael but not on my PC with different card readers. This would be a minor problem but my Raphael also destroyed randomly files on the card too.
I thought the Micro SDHC Card was defective and send it back.
Now I own a Sandisk 16GB Card and it got also courrupted in like 2 days of use.
Some file from my *Notes* was thrashed and other files followed.
Raphael will try to open the file and then stay busy. After like 20 seconds a message containing "There is not enough memory " pop up... (150MB free ram should be enough to open a 2 kb Notes-file )
Wierd thing -> My *old* Sandisk 6 GB MicroSDHC Card I own for more than half a year now works flawlessly... (Till yet )
Someone here got the same experiences ?
Someone got some advice for me ?
I read something about updated SD sdrivers from member Tucan which he cooked into a german stock rom. Are they any good for me ?
Is there a Rom which should solve my problems ?
Help will be really appreciated !!
im sorry but the new memory you have must be fake, that explains why it works with your old mem, and why after sending it back, the same place sent you another fake.
Oh lord here we go, I just ordered my 8gb MicroSDHC card from newegg since the Fuze will be out soon I hope this isn't a common problem.
I corrupted my 8GB once, but by my own fault. I was in the middle of a transfer and was connected as a hard drive, not through activesync, and hit the power button which disconnected it from the computer. I hooked it up as a hard drive again, went into windows and reformatted the MicroSD... No issues from then on.

I ordered both cards from completly different places, so that is unlikely.
They did work normaly (some days) even on my PC, so I guess it is my Raph which corrupted them

I´m always *releasing* my harddrives/cards (on my PC) with the icon in the lower right corner to be save from what you experienced.
Oh man. I have the 16GB Card sitting here and cant use it... I will try it in my old XDA Trion (aka Hermes) for the next days ...
Anyway thanks for your replys !
Someone else has some thoughts about the problem ?
Maybe it has something to do with all the powersaving *features* beeing enabled through -Advanced Config 3.2- and -Diamond Tweak- ?
Well I'm using the same rom as you and was using an 8gb Sandisk card until I got a 16gb Sandisk card and both work flawlessly I'm afraid. I have also applied the power saving tweaks you mention with no ill effect.
using 8gb for about a month now, no problems at all.
Oh, I should mention I've heard many people talk about how there were a lot of Tilts that corrupted MicroSD cards. It was a flaw from the factory, apparently affected a number of them. I wouldn't be surprised of HTC saw some of the same issues with the Fuze, knowing all of the issues they've had already.
My 8gb card works just fine.
For reference, I'm using an A-DATA Class-6 8gb microSD purchased from NewEgg. Cheap, fast, reliable, perfect.
16gb bog standard San Disk Micro SD is working fine at the moment.
Formatted using Panasonic's SD Formatter as I corrupted it before I even put it in the Pro.
my 8GB works fine too
Maybe if everybody posts the brand name of their cards we can determine if this has something to do with the issues.
I remember with my Hermes I had to get a specific brand and produced from a certain plant to not have any issues. I still have my Kingston Micro SD from the Japan plant with no issues.
Using 8Gb and 16Gb of Sandisk with no probs on my Touch Pro.
Hi,
I may be barking up the wrong tree here but are you sure you have not enabled the Encryption setting under Settings. This will encrypt the storage card so it can only be read from the phone. Removing the card and placing in a PC or Laptop would show up as corrupted.
I selected it by mistake once and it corrupted my folder tree and showed garbage.
Not saying this is what is up but is worth looking at.
Personally I have a 16GB SanDisk card in my Touch Pro and it been OK. Been running for about 3 weeks now.
John
maybe the cardreaders from youre PC are not compatible with sdhc.
This is redundand and it may be opinion but im looking into buying a class 6 8gig. Is adata reliable? What company is the best in your opinions for what im looking for. Fastest?

Sandisk. Always. Forever. For my memory cards at least
FYI...
I put a 16Gb Sandisk in my TP on monday (5 days ago)... not a single problem with it and no corrupted files either.
I was previously using my 4Gb Sandisk card from my old Kaiser... which also worked perfectly fine.
Had a Sandisk 8GB card in mine, no problems. Now have a 16GB Sandisk, no problems.
For me I'll buy Sandisk, and only Sandisk, for my memory cards.
I have the very chip you described in my kaiser (class 6 a-data 8gb) runs without a problem. I've never really had much problems with microsd chips but I gotta admit I got a little worries when this thread poped up not so much about the chip but the phone itself, I've never had a bad chip in my life bought about 20 or so thus far, the a-data does well in terms of speed nothing to be excisted about but for it's class and size it holds its own.
Is it possible to change 4 GB internal disk to bigger one ?

As far as I know this is not possible as the 4GB are not a "disk" but only memory chips soldered on the Diamond mainboard. Unless you are going to replace the chips with some higher capacity ones you will need to stick with 4GB.
Would be nice, but I think probably impossible.
A friend told me he has managed to get the diamond to work as a USB host for an external drive, which could give you more storage, but would probably be a huge amount of work,
So what MoviNAND chip has the Diamond inside? I think that's the first point to start thinking about upgrding it!
if you get an 8gb movinand chip (because of pkg-size no 16gb possible), this shouldn't be a problem. same architecture, voltage, pinning...
i can do this at work with an ir-rework-station
here you can take a look of available movinand (bottom -> table): Samsung moviNAND

Does your friend have any dokumentation on this subject?
Is there a way to increase storage beyond what the 32 GB model allows?
I checked the ifixit teardown, but looks like the Sandisk flash chip is hardwired
Has anyone attempted to mod with a pin compatible higher capacity chip (64 GB or so)?

Even If you get a bigger sandisk flash chip (which is impossible) and you can solder it to the mother board (which is also impossible, since it soldered by a special machine), then you will get a blank nexus 5. No bootloader, no recovery, no andorid. Even if you manage to flash nexus 5 rom with offical firmware (not the offical google roms, they are just images, you need to go to fastbbot to flash them, but since you have noo bootloader you cant go to fastboot) using with a flash tool which is only avaliable for LG employees, then the max storage you can get is still 32 GB since that is the biggest storage avaliable for 32GB version of nexus 5 stock firmawre (these firmwares also avaliable for LG employess who worked on this phone). Maybe you can hack the partition table to get the max out.
In sort: It is impossible for a everyday people to change that chip to a bigger one, but in theory it is possible.
Unfortunately in Canada they only sell the 8 GB model and 1 GB Ram... if anyone who has it is it worth buying? How is it?
Honestly I am still happy with mine but the the 8 GB does not leave a lot of room for storage. Right now I don't have that many apps installed and I have 4GB left. That's not much but I keep all my backups on an OTG usb which helps.
Even with onlyb1 gig of RAM its pretty snappy and has never been an issue for me personally. If it were me though I think I would go with something newer given the chance. The phone is a couple years old after all.
don't be upset. 8gb enough, if u need more also u can use a portable HDD. our falcon is the only phone I got, which can deliver 4.5 volt via OTG. u don't need any xtra power to run a HDD. just direct plug and play.
