I have an old Samsung Galaxy Prevail that I'm practicing on. I used a root process that I found on Phandroid that uses Odin but there seems to be something wrong with it. The first time I did it I couldn't get the superuser app to work, so I did it again. The second time it started making selections like I had my finger on the screen.
I am looking for the best way to root, add custom roms, etc. to a Samsung Galaxy Prevail (SPH_M820)
Hi,
You can review this thread for rooting,
> General discussion > Questions and Answers > [Q] How to Root the Samsung Galaxy Prevail?
The problem here is everything I've found ion your device is very old and with dead links to things.
I would perhaps ask here for help...
> General discussion > Questions and Answers > [HELP THREAD] Ask ANY Question. Noob Friendly
And trying Google search may find more.
Good luck!
Thank you. Thread closed.

Hi,
I'm sorry, but for your device I can't find any thread with your needs.
So, you have a choice to start asking in the general forum for Q&A from here:
XDA Developers> General discussion > Questions and Answers
or try something in the old Galaxy Core from here, maybe some users can direct you in the right place:
> Legacy & Low Activity Devices > Samsung Galaxy Core > Galaxy Core Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck

Hi,
I will first link you to your device section. You should read the top threads in the general and Q&A sections. Read any guides or info threads you find. You seem to be very unfamiliar with this stuff. Knowledge is power doing this stuff.... And misunderstanding can lead to very bad problems.
Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)
And to ask for help with your issue, or any other questions you eventually have, here is where to ask,
> Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model) > Galaxy S 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > Stupid Questions Thread - No question too stupid!
Good luck! ?
