HTC One M8 Model: HTC7525LVW - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Hi... I just bought this phone on ebay, but I want to know if this phone can work Internationally, Verizon say they don't know and that it may need flashing, the phone is factory unlocked, the seller is afraid it won´t work for me... so do I, so... does somebody knows if it will work outside USA??? I asked HTC and said it should work, but told me to ask verizon... I´m kind of in the middle of nowhere... hope you can help me... also I can't find any information about that phone model

Unfortunately there's never been a way to convert the Verizon addition to a developer edition as far as I know. But with S OFF there is really no difference because the device is completely unlocked and you can do whatever you please with it.

You make a good point that would be a benefit. But honestly I've never seen a way to do the conversion on a verizon phone

Can you link me to the exact one that you are running currently? I installed the 1122 build yesterday and everything was fine until I rebooted the ROM and I lost data completely and was unable to get it back. I heard of a few others complaining of the same issue. Have you tried to reboot your phone and see if data still working with wifi off? If so and it is please link me to it exactly which version you're running thanks

If you want to try GPE Android lollipop build that is very fast and stable try this out. Been running it for around four days now and the battery life and stability is amazing.

I installed it a hour ago. No problems yet
I have been wanting to convert mine to a dev for a long time, and there are two different posts out on the m8 forum for this but they only work for the gsm versions such as international, tmobile and at&t. And I"am sure there has to be a way for our verizon m8 its just finding it, as ours is a world phone being both cdma and gsm, even if it had to only run on the gsm side it could still work if they get the volte update pushed out as part of L then there would be no need for cdma for us and we could just totally run off verizon lte which is actually gsm.
So this may be a possibility in the near future especially. I myself not only want the updates directly from htc which are faster but I would prefer to never ever again have to run verizon software / firmware because all verizon wants to do is lock us all out.
At least all the other carriers allow htc dev to unlock the bootloaders but verizon just likes to be total asses about this, I guess they think they are too big for there britches, for this exact reason I really wish I could switch to at&t but I dont have coverage for them at home with zero bars maybe some edge coverage 1% of the time never enough to use the phone on, and verizon is not much better with only getting 1x data and no plans to upgrade.
So I"am with all of you on this I would like to convert my verizon m8 to dev also and ditch verizon having any control over my phone ever again, as I pay them for service and not to try to lock down my phone which I"am supposed to legally own with honoring my side of the their 2 year contract.
But for that matter you can buy a phone at full retail price and they still try to lock you down.

Please reply and help!
Thank you all very much
Verizon s3 sch-i535 is already unlocked
Verizon s3 sch-i535 is already unlocked. You just have to go to Settings>more settings>mobile networks>network mode and select gsm/umts.
I've done that but still nothing.

If your speaking of bootloader unlocked it's not possible. Sim unlocked is a different story.
The newest 4.4.2 NE1 update is locked down and you will not be able to unlock the bootloader

Sorry I don't have a Verizon Sim Card - Should I order one via ebay? when I do that what should i do? - it would not be an active SIM card..

You're asking about it being sim unlocked. As stated it is already unlocked. You'll need a sim card from your carrier, not Verizon. Then add your carriers APN settings which should be simple enough to find, just Google it. Use the global mode, not GSM/umts. You'll get an annoying persistent notification saying unrecognized sim or something like that but it doesn't affect anything. Hope this helps

Will G920F International work on Verizon LTE?

N910F will not work on Verizon. N910F is GSM and Verizon is CDMA. Only Verizon branded phones work on Verizon. They do not have BYOD.
If your interested in bricking your S6 then flash it.

lost Software upgrades

Hello All,
I have an unlocked AT&T LG G3 phone which I used with AT&T number till April 2015. Later, I left the country and now using it with Airtel.
After I left AT&T, there were 2 software upgrades for the phone, I received none.
I checked with AT&T, they said they will not support now, contact LG.
LG said, I will get updates when it is available, but no luck.
Can someone help ?? Thanks.

I messed up bad, No longer detects sim

So I was attempting to root my device, flashed something I really shouldn't have and ended up having to flash back to factory firmware. I had THOUGHT I found the right firmware, but I guess I did not, as it now no longer detects my sim card. everything else seems to work fine but I'm pretty lost on how to go about fixing this. Any help would be much appreciated, imagine I got the wrong firmware from the list but if so don't know which one is correct

XT1955-2 is not US version, you flashed the US version virtually killed it.
You need flash back original XT1955-2 version, or trash it to get a new phone.
