Just install the latest APK, it wouldn't do any harm.

Just because you install the apk doesn't mean it'll stop it from in the future automatically updating.

Okay, using apk is a different case
In case I want to get it automatically updated
The what should I do???

[Q] My apps don't automatically update anymore

Hi, I'm running 4.4.2 not rooted here. After installing the Amazon App Store and uninstalling it, my Google Play store apps don't automatically update themselves anymore even if I have them set to do so. What can I do to solve the problem?
Thanks.

With default Google Play settings app will update automatically when the phone network connected through wifi

I know they should, but they don't. I've even tried bringing the Google Play app to the default version which comes with the Moto G and then re-updating it, but nothing changed. Apps only update if I open the Google Play app. Before they used to update whenever I connected to wifi.
Kinda solved it. I restored my Moto G to stock firmware 4.4.2, because apparently simply restoring factory settings wouldn't do the trick. Oh, well, I have a few apps installed anyway

[Q] Changed bootanimation. Cant find Motorola Boot Services in Play Store anymore

I have an XT1032 4.4.3.
I tried changing my bootanimation to the Android L one by downloading the flashable zip found here:
http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/android-l-...-system-dump-available-kitkat-devices-1454562
First off, it was obviously not meant for the screen size of the Moto G as it didn't work properly. So then I tried to change it back to the normal animation by Uninstalling Updates for Motorola Boot Services and hopefully then reinstalling the update from the play store.
Well, I can't find it on the play store when i search for it. I can find it in my apps list in the play store and then after clicking it I updated it. Oddly, it gives me an option to uninstall it. Im not gonna do that.
I downloaded the zip for the original one and replaced the Android L one via root explorer.
How can I find Boot Services in the Play Store again?

I just did that now. I was expecting to see an update for it along with the whole list of google apps that need to get updated when you reset your phone. But the problem still persists.
How is this a problem at all??

Play Store after rooting

Hey,
I've installed a custom recovery, re-installed an official OTA update and rooted my phone.
Now the play store won't download apps. The only wayto download apps with play store is to press install, then reboot and the app will install.
Moreover, the play store shows nothing in the updates whereas I have apps that should be updated.
I tried to uninstall the play store and re-install with a recent apk, it still does the same thing.
Anyone has a fix here ?
EDIT : Now the play store won't start, it keeps crashing everytime, even after reinstalling it with an apk
So I would like to install a working Play Store version but I don't think that factory reset would do anything ..

After I updated to .161 (C432) via Hi Suite, Google Play store shows that my device is not certified??!! Everything works fine in store, I can download apps, update apps but I'm confused with this info.
On .159 everthing was fine.
Phone is with no root, no bootloader unlock, nothing. Everything is stock as I have from the first day i bought it.
Does anybody have the same issue?
EDIT: and suddenly problem is solved by itself after Play store is updated to new version... ghosts in my phone ?
