No, I do not have a full I535VRUCML1 firmware package for you.
Yes, I somewhat lied in the title of this thread. But I did it for a good reason: to get your attention.
Mods - I'm sure you'll understand.
You should NOT flash the I535VRUCML1 firmware (or any subsequent releases for that matter). You will brick. This is what vzw/samsung did on the first OTA for the Galaxy S4. They changed the keys they sign the firmware with. This prevents us from 'mis-matching' our firmware like we've been doing all along. We've been leaving aboot (VRUAME6, the african-canadian sock-monkey leaked bootloader) alone and updating everything else. Since they're signing with different keys now, doing this will brick your device. If you update the ENTIRE bootchain (including aboot) you shouldn't brick, but will be stuck with a locked bootloader and any attempt to downgrade (via dd, etc) will brick you as well. Even if you manage to flash an ENTIRE old bootchain over VRUCML1, you'll brick because they trip a qfuse that prevents it from working. More info about qfuse by djrbliss here: http://t.co/myb0LIrN6e
Just stick with VRUBMF1, trust me.
These firmware updates have, up until now, consisted of several partitions that we update:
- tz (trustzone)
- rpm (resource/power management)
- sbl[1,2,3] (secure bootloaders)
- NON-HLOS (modem/baseband)
Due to the way Samsung and Verizon have chosen to proceed with future updates (following what they do for the Galaxy S4) we cannot flash all these partitions anymore (see above) and retain our unlocked bootloader. We CAN, however, update the baseband as it's not signed.
My recommendation: if you aren't already on MF1 firmware (below), flash that. Then update your baseband with this: http://invisiblek.org/sch-i535/modems/d2vzw_ML1_modem.zip
Latest firmware (aka AIO) linked here: http://invisiblek.org/d2firmware.html

Flash d2vzw_VRBMF1_firmware.zip over I535VRUCML1?
I am on CleanRom 8.2 with Baseband I535VRUCML1. When I updated to this from CR 6.2 my phone reception took a hit - I'm in mountainous outlying areas, so I notice right away areas that drop calls that didn't before.
I'd like to try a different modem but am confused which files are safe to flash. The only valid links I've found is invisiblek's at .../firmware/d2/. Can I flash d2vzw_VRBMF1_firmware.zip to try the MF1 modem without bricking? If I try it and want to get back to ML1, would the d2vzw_ML1_modem.zip get me there? The difference between "firmware" and "modem" in the file names worry me -as well as the d2 in the name - Are the d2 files also for the I535 Verizon models?
Other options? I also see a d2vzw_NE1.zip. I haven't read anything about an NE1 modem. Thanks for your help.
Hey,
New to xda-developers, so I apologize in advance if this post is in the wrong place. I am looking to upgrade my modem (I think I'm on the MF1 currently, and I'm having GPS issues). The link on the first page to the ML1 modem is broken for me, and I was wondering if anyone could link me to a copy of the ML1 and/or any of the newer ones. The only other ML1 modem I've found so far (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2591895) fails the zip signature verification when I try to flash it, and I'm hesitant to skip the zip verification to try to flash (it matches the md5 from the download page I got if from, however).
Thanks in advance.

I think I have it all sorted out. I ended up reverting to an earlier snapshot of CM11 and my GPS seems to be working again. Thanks for offering, though.
Need ML1 modem
I'm currently running CleanROM 7 with the MF1 modem. I've tinkered with too much and need to reinstall. I'd like to try Alliance or another 4.3 ROM, but I need the ML1 modem to do so. The link to the ML1 at invisiblek's site hasn't worked for some time. Does anyone have a zip of the ML1 modem that I can install via TWRP?
Thanks.

[Q] How do I get to JB
So today I finally decided to root my GS3 that I never took any OTA updates on. I'm on 4.0.4 rooted and unlocked bootloader using: [GUIDE][VZW Edition]How to root your Galaxy SIII & More!(ROMs/CWM/Stock) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762709 I stopped at section 3. When reading around the forums about getting a ROM with the latest OTA onto my phone and keeping root it seemed confusing. For now I just want an updated stock ROM. How do I do this? Which is the right thread for me to follow? ( I was considering this Stock rooted VRBMB1 4.1.2- http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2178482 ) Thanks!

SM-N900W8 Canadian 4.4.2 Kitkat for Sasktel/Telus/Bell and Rogers
I've managed to successfully install 4.4.2 onto Rogers bell SaskTel and telus Note 3. Modem and CSC from the latest Canadians Carrier and flashed with Odin 3.09 along with TelCel (Mexican) 4.4.2 files below. Download link file in the attached file. Follow the instructions and have a break for kit Kat. Also good news is if you don't like to be on 4.4.2 and want to go back you can go back from the 4.4.2 to 4.3 again by just downloading the Carrier specific official Odin flash ROM. This ROM is down gradable. Good luck all Canadians.... Download http://www.mediafire.com/download/plpspx97437w3dw/SM_N900W8_.zip

hello i had a question i has to install the rom from telus, becaouse if i install another, i lost the LTE capability, and i dont know why, i tried to install this rom(telcel) and i had two problems, lost of the lte capability and i was unable to activate by this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2489766), and the second problem was the network lock, so i can use on my network, anybody can help me????
I installed this sucessfully on my SM-N900W8, but with problems Hi everyone, I installed this method on my SM-N900W8 and have successfully updated to 4.4.2 KitKat, but there were some problems: 1- My LTE doesn't work, so I've had to put up with slow data 2- My External SDHC card (64GB Sandisk) wasn't compatible for files such as music, videos, etc. I installed 4.4.2 right when this thread was posted about a month ago and figured that since the official KitKat update was coming soon, I didn't think I'd have to put up with it for that long, but it's been a while and still we have no KitKat. I also read that once you flash 4.4 KitKat, you cannot go back to 4.3, is that true with this method, since the 4.3 Kernel is still the same? I would really appreciate if someone could help me out here! (In the meantime, I'm going to try my luck with this new 4.4.2 custom ROM that was released for the SM-N900W8: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2648843) (I believe shant0nu here in this thread authored this one!) p.s. My carrier is Telus, if that matters at all.

[Q] Hwo to downgrade to ML1 from Verizon S3 SCH-i535 JSS15J.VRUCNC1?
Hi Guys, I was told to post my question in Q/A section (apologies for not RTFM). I was also told that I need to go back down to ML1 to get root on the device. Where can I get stock Firmware
Looking to start from scratch with my Note 10.1(N8013) but can't seem to find any active links to stock firmware. I am currently running Cyanogenmod so I don't believe I need to worry about the bootloader issues. I think dirty flashing has caught up to me and given me some instability and would like to start from fresh and get back to some CM goodness. Anybody got any links or care to host a stock firmware file and a .pit if there is one?
N8013 only has up to 4.1.2 official. You can find it on sammobile.com
Let me try downloading from their again the link was dead when i tried. Got the Android 4.1.2 file. Only concern is that is it for Cellular South any issues for a US one or no?

I found this thread -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1849994http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1849994 5th line down he had a link to an image that I was able to use to restore my n8013 after a bootloop issue.
please someone advise which region code on summobile is for uk or ireland?
