Great news Guys!
[KITCHEN][ROM] Cookmyrom.se now available for Desire HD!!
It's still very high beta testing for this but you are welcome to try it out
I've added the rapid rom so far.
Im trying to update the best i can but i work much so
Try it out and let me know the results
Bootamination wont most likely work ..
so stay away from it
need help correcting paths and such

shouldnt be any issues,
never had reports on it before with other ROMs,
ill look into it later today
Install of the file names can you show some sort of a graphical presentation of the system files we would like to remove. Especially for us n00b's, we dont want to land up removing the important stuff.

I'm still fairly new to Android having owned the Desire for only a few weeks.
This weekend I had a chance to play with a HTC HD with a custom Android rom, and found it to be more responsive than by Desire HD even with the slower cpu and less ram. I can only assume this was because of the custom rom and customisations.
Would we see similar improvements in performance by using these roms, have you benchmarked your custom rom against the standard HTC one? This would be only reason I'd use a custom. Unless of course someone can give me an advantage that I've overlooked.

i unlocked my boot loader with that bump thing and now waiting for roms

If u don't know how to unlock the bootloader, u may not want to install twrp, do some reading up first

Pretty sure they're waiting for impatient people like you to bug them.
Please be respectful of the devs, almost all of whom do this in their spare time. No one owes you anything for your phone.
If you're that impatient, the skills are there for you to learn and do it yourself.

Hey man don't worry about it, it's all good! Its hard to grasp the tone in which someone is saying something by reading just text.
Everyone is basically saying the device is still very new so give it some time!!
The people who make things like TWRP are people just like us. They have families, jobs, etc. So give them the time they need to develop and in the meantime we can do some reading/learning on how things work so maybe one day we can create something to give back to the community!!

yes i also understand.. but i was asking for a rom whenever the development will start..i didn't say i need it now or do it for me..these kind of things are showing attitude ???
It's ok dude. No heart feelings. Of course we all love to flash roms, we all are "flashaholics".

No real harm done. People reacted the way they did because some devs get upset about requests and eta posts, and some have quit xda in frustration over users pestering them for updates.

Sorry mate. That's not helpful to me. I used the same app to unlock my 5T without any problem.
My question is why not op6...

Better start reading up on GSI and how to handle them first. No one might be able to elaborate on the pros, cons, and problems at hand in full depth for sure. Would take days to get those things explained to someone who's new. Modding in the end still is based on the willingness of a thorough self study about new ways and there basics, of those who want to use and try those ways out.
If you read up on it, and got some more context, it would be possible to helping there are specific questions on the details. But it ain't possible to explain everything, due to the massive changes.

I think porting rom for this device is not so easy because of AB slots & many different permissions
