Got the phone yesterday, it was on 33R, wifi was working correctly
But now I can't see available networks, If the network is saved and is in range it connects, but won't show unsaved available networks. It also works If i add manually. Its just not showing them

Yes, its a software bug. Flashing another ROM fixes it, however I like CM11S, and would prefer not to reflash it, as I would lose my data.
Restarting does not change anything
I have flashed a custom kernel - Franco kernel, but the problem kinda worsened, since I can't even use WiFi Analyzer anymore, cannot restore boot.img because Franco Kernel has newer WiFi drivers.

Have you tried another kernel?
I believe you can flash the original boot.img via fastboot and it overwrites franco's wifi drivers so you could go back to cm11s stock, however I am thinking that you can most likely get it working without doing so.

Wifi unable to reconnect when coming back in range

I have this rather annoying problem with my OPO: When I'm on WiFi and go out of range and get within range of another WiFi (eg leaving from home in the morning and getting on the train where there's also WiFi) my OPO will not connect.
I've tried switching WiFi off and back on, tried forgetting network and connecting again but the network just displays as "Saved". Only thing that works is a reboot. Funny thing is that it actually detects open WiFi's and displays the question mark in the notification bar.
I've read that themes can cause WiFi problems so I haven't changed that. I'm using the Apex launcher with no visual changes.
I've rooted my phone but left the bootloader locked.
Any advice?
I'm rooted with the TWRP custom recovery installed. I had the same thing happen to me. If you toggle airplane mode on/off, it will reconnect. But, as for a solution, my fix was to restore a previous TWRP backup of my phone. I also had heard that the problem could be coming from a theme. What themes have you used? I bought the Flux theme and have been using its style and fonts. I was running the stock CM11s when this happend just a few days after getting my OPO. I would try a factory reset first. If that does not work, there is a thread in the OPO forums about flashing a factory image and getting back to 100% stock.
I have switched to the CM11 nightlies as of a couple of days ago. I will probably refrain from messing around with the theme packs for now.

Will probably unlock the bootloader. Then a factory reset should be taken care of I guess...

I'm now on KTU84P and the problem is still there
Yesterday I failed to flash MAHDI and ended up clearing everything from my phone. I had to follow this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-return-opo-to-100-stock-t2826541
to get back to pre-KTU84P (can't remember the build number).
So I guess it's safe to say that my phone has had all sorts of memory cleared. And the problem is still there...

I really hate to hear that you are still having the wifi issue. One would think that if you flashed all partitions with a factory image that it would solve the problem. You might want to have a look at this thread. This guy was unsuccessful in fixing his efs and bluetooth problems until he flashed Color OS and then went back to CM. Will have a look at the ColorOS thread. But I think I'll give Mahdi another go first to see what that brings me.
Thanks for the link.
Flashed Mahdir ROM yesterday and though the rom works just fine my WiFi reconnect issue has not been resolved
I find flashing yet another rom (ColorOS) sounds a bit drastic. Really no way of debugging what's wrong?

No. I'm waiting for the update to hit my phone and install it to see if that solves it. In the meantime though, I installed an app called Smart WiFi Locker that seems to keep the issue solved (for now)

Thanks for sharing. I think there are two things that can produce a major restore/fix to a phone - a nandroid restore and a major rom update. I hope it fixes yours. The nandroid restore is what saved mine.

Been there. Done that. Read the book. Got the t-shirt.
Flashed ColorOS.
Factory reset.
Booted and got through into ColorOS (skipped account setup).
Booted into recovery.
Factory reset.
Restore backup of CM11S.
No dice :'-(
What are my options now?
A couple of days ago I completely wiped my OPO - radio, modem, everything and flashed a new stock image. Nothing has helped.
I really find it hard to believe this to be a hardware issue.

Just for clarification - after flashing Color OS, did you turn on wifi and use it to see if the problem was still there while in Color OS?
If your WiFi 2.4 or 5GHZ?

Yes. I would recommend you consider doing that. If it works then I would flash a fresh Cm11s rom, not a nandroid backup. Flash the Color OS and do a full check of the Wifi.

I was having the same issue, but here's what I did and it seems to have resolved my issue.
1) Updated firmware on my ASUS AC68 router
2) Boot into recovery mode (volume down+power), wipe cache and media, then factory wipe
3) When setting up phone, did not apply CM theme on the options after logging into CM account.
It seems like WiFi might drop when you get to homescreen, just reboot phone and Wifi should reconnect. Make sure to go into your WiFi settings and remove any networks that was saved, and re-add.
Still not ideal (since it seems like themes might be killing WiFi for some users), so hopefully a new OTA update will solve this problem.

Nexus 5 stuck turning Wi-Fi on

Yesterday Wi-Fi works fine, but today it doesn't work.
I've always the "Turning Wi-Fi on..." message.
I had Puxe Nexus Rom, but then I've tried with stock rom and with a Nougat rom, but the problem persist.
I've do a lot of factory reset and try some tricks...
The only thing that happened:
I'm from Italy, this morning there was earthwake and in my town there was a tiny shock but it does not make sense that wifi no longer works...
Someone can help me?

I've installed multirom to try more rom.
I've installed Nougat as secondary, boot it, Wi-Fi works.
Reboot, Wi-Fi doesn't work.
Flash your .zip, nothing.
Re-install Nougat as secondary, boot it, Wi-Fi doesn't works yet. Do a dirty flash, nothing.
Install Nougat and flash open-gapps, Wi-Fi doesn't work. Flash your zip, same problem.
Before I've tried also with stock, using Nexus Root Toolkit and I've yet problem...
Only sometimes, when I flash a ROM, Wi-Fi works and it have a normal MAC address. When it doesn't work, it have 02:00:00:00:00:00.
EDIT: same problem with CyanogenMod.

The mac address is also changed to 02:00:00:... Previously it was something d9:..... It dont remember that.

at this point you need your wifi back. Do you have any back up that you can restore? flash official build , or another custom rom, flah a kernel...just get the thing working. I have had that issue before on a different phone after flashing a kernel, something got corrupted so try another.

Wifi is working again.
I installed certificate from adclear app and rebooted. The reboot was stucked at google logo for around 60-90 seconds and then boot animation started.
i started cleaning my interner storage as i was preparing to backup on pc and flash mra58k image. And uninstalled android authority app. And deleting all the folders that were just eating space.
Any ways thanks for your replies.
My mac address also is reverted back to original one.
The wpa supplicant is also now having around 10-12 lines then my wifi details.
Can anyone explain what happened.

Also tried paranoid v4.45 kitkat rom but in that also wifi didnt worked.
It's not software. It's failing hardware. Your Bluetooth will also stop working, as it's the same chip. Mine does the same thing. I've flashed multiple ROMs and tried changing wifi system files. Nothing has helped...
Sent from my TARDIS
I bought my Nexus 5 the first month it came out. Since then I have never touched the original system or even root it. About a month ago my wifi suddenly stopped working. I have decided to root and flash roms, after factory reset and basic solutions on google didn't work. I have tried a couple of different roms all on android 6 and 7. Wifi still not working. I havent tried flashing kernel and I don't have a file called /persist in the main directory...
EDIT: Cellular data & Bluetooth working.
If changing software and resetting doesn't fix the wifi problem, it's probably a defective wifi chip. I have two nexus 5 motherboards in my desk drawer with no wifi (tries turn on but never does or turns on then off by itself) but cell and Bluetooth work.

Oneplus One LTE Issue

Dear All,
I don't know if I have posted it at the right place if I have not please guide me.
I tried my best to find a solution but couldn't that's why I am posting this.
So here I begin,
I am using OnePlus One from last 2 years and it is still working fine.
I have spent most of the time on Sultan's Rom which ran without any issues.
Recently I flashed [ROM][OFFICIAL][7.1.1_r9][BACON][OPTIMIZED]RESURRECTION REMIX [5.8.0] Rom and it worked well too.
But all of a sudden I started experiencing LTE signal drop.
I always do Nandroid backups so I restored to Sultan Rom but the problem was still there.
I have tried flashing modems with no luck.
Now I have started experiencing intermittent 3G signal too.
I have even tried restoring old KK backups but that doesn't resolve the problem.
This is so frustrating, Please help.
Let me know if more information is needed.

I'd do a complete clean restore of last official stock. If the issue still persists, it must be a hardware issue or an issue with your carrier.
If your device is wiped clean and stock software restored, there's no way it can be a software issue.
Good luck!

if clean flash through fastboot don't work out,try changing network antenna.
I don't think it's a carrier issue because it was perfect before.
The problem in network antenna must've been due to sudden drops or heavy impact.

Bro try flashing stock cm13 via fastboot... That will wipe your internal storage but eventually bring back 4G
I am also facing network drop issue for last few weeks.at first i thought it may be rom's problem, because generally i try a new rom in every 2/3 weeks, but now i notice that ,i am facing the issue in all roms,i read all the comments in this threads and see that cm13.1 can solve my issue.but can i solve my issue within any nougat rom?
I too am having the issue. Occasionally my 3/4g data just cuts out but it is still enabled in settings. It seems to be when I come off of WiFi most of the time. I'm on CM13.1 by jgcaap.
I'm going to flash back to full stock and then reinstall TWRP, then the ROM. I have a few issues and I figured it was time for a fresh flash.

No Data Connection

Hi everyone,
Could really use your help. I tried updating my phone to Lineage OS and post update, my phone's data connection stopped working. I've tried flashing different firmwares to see if it fixes the problem and it didn't. I went back to my old backup, and the problem continues. I can't access any data connection (no phone, or text either).
Any idea on what could have caused the problem. My steps were basically:
Backed up old Sultan 12.1 Rom
Installed Lineage using TWRP 2.8.7.0
Installed latest Gapps mini
Installed the bacon_firmware_update_2015_05-15_DI.3.0.c6-00241.zip
And data problems began
Now i've tried redoing the steps with the latest recovery and it doesn't change anything. And as previously mentioned, I'm having data connection problems in my old backup as well

Yup, I reverted back to my old backup and no flashing of firmware, and it's still messed up.
Found out that my IMEI isn't showing up so that could be the problem. Went through "the entire internet" and found some fixes, trying them now to see if I can get something to work.
Edit: I flashed to CM13.1 stock. But my IMEI is still not showing up. No idea what to do next. My phone connects to the network, but doesn't let me do anything considering it can't find an IMEI.

Most probably that is an issue with incorrect firmware.

Thanks, I believe you're right. But I've tried flashing other firmwares. My phone's IMEI shows up in the about section, but my data connection comes and goes. You think following the steps you linked will fix that problem considering my IMEI seems fine now?

It's not just your imei,it's your EFS and modem.
You should've backup your Efs before playing with things.

Yup, lesson learned. And I've tried a bunch of efs recovery solutions:
the persist flash you listed
The Windows fix patch from oneplus https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/no-imei-and-no-efs-backup.322534/page-2
deleting modemst files https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-efs-partitions-how-to-lost-t3307793
I had it partially working at one point but going through this solutions just messed things up more.

Type this command in fastboot.
fastboot flash sbl1 sbl1.mbn
Sbl1 from stock can fix the imei issue.

Are you talking about flashing stock from the thread you linked above? I'm not on the stock firmware from the fix above, I'm on stoch CM13.1.2.
Should I go back to stock CM11 from the fix above? Or can I just extract the sbl1 file from the package and flash it in fastboot?
Okay, I finally got my IMEI back using this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-efs-partitions-how-to-lost-t3307793, and flashing stock oxygen OS through their recovery rather than TWRP.
But now, although it reads my sim, my phone doesn't connect to the internet, and when it does, it doesn't connect to 4g. I still can't use data services despite having the baseband and IMEI fixed. So now what are the next steps? Could my hardware be broken?

I installed lineage, still no data connection. Honestly about to give up on this phone. Is there a good stable rom that I should use?
I've tried Lineage and now Sultans CM13, but still no data man. Just my sim stuff is acting weird, and i know my sim is fine. I'm switching carriers and ordered a new sim. I'm hoping somehow changing carriers helps, otherwise I'm **** out of luck.
Edit: Ok, so on Sultan's CM13 I've finally got the data working, but it only works when its on H+ (4g) otherwise no internet/voice/ text. So is there a fix this?

4G is Lte not H+(3G).
Yeah maybe OPO doesn't support the band your carrier uses for data.

Nope, not the case as I've been using the phone for the last 2 years. I read up that the switch between H+ and 3g happens because the carrier only sends data through H+ not 3g, so it happens to every phone, not just the OPO. But now my problem is, I can't send texts over 3g.
I'm going to wait and see what happens when I get a new carrier's sim.

you've mentioned that you are using twrp 2.8.7.0, can you try twrp from here and re flash firmware and report back?
Just flash the .img file via twrp
Also, use this firmware : link

He already tried using the latest recovery...
Thanks for the help guys, I think in this case it was more of a carrier problem. I learned that Wind has been updating their infrastructure causing some network problems. Couple that with a finnicky OPO and you get headaches.
My new carrier seems to be working better (but I've only had the new sim for an hour). Going to do a full day test and see what happens.
Thanks again.
