Unlocked bootloader consequences - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

I'm going to unlock my friends BL in order to flash clean CM11 on Xperia J and I'm wondering whether there is any stuff that will get lost after unlocking the bootloader like x-reality or other stuff. I'm not sure whether something like this exists on Xperia J and whether I should worry about taking a TA backup. If there's no features that will get lost then I'll have no worries as the warranty already expired.
TL;DR
Do I lose anything from Xperia J after unlocking the bootloader?

Seriously? This question is so simple, come on :/

[Q] Restore someone else's TA, to get bootloader unlock allowed: Yes

Hello guys,
I have read thru somethreads outside of our phone's forum, and found some people restoring TA's from phones that allow bootloader unlocking, and was thinking if it's safe to do the same with our XL.
I understand there are certain modifications that have to be done.
Thanks in Advanced!
P.S. Searched the forums of the XL, but I didn't find anything with this matter, sorry if it has bean brought up.
If you forgot to backup your TA like me see this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2604484&goto=newpost
As stated above, yes it's possible.
But you don't get your DRM keys back, thus your warranty is still voided.

I must have expressed myself wrong.
I have my TA backup, but i have not unlocked my bootloader, because my unlocking status is NOT ALLOWED, yet my question is, if I can use a TA backup from another phone that has a bootloader unlock allowed: YES, so I can transfer this status to my device, therefor allowing me to unlock my bootloader.
Regards.

As far as I know its not possible to unlock your bootloader if unlocking is not allowed.
But you might want to take a look here. It's CWM for locked bootloaders.
If you really want to unlock you should consider selling your phone and buying a Xperia L where's unlocking allowed (mostly sim lock free phones)
There might be a risk of hard bricking of your phone if you restore someone else's TA backup

did u attempt? what was the result?
pls kindly let us know. if u conform....imtoo thinking for it.
Don't try messing with TA backup or you will end up bricking the device and i am talking about hardbrick. If you restore someone else TA backup your mobile won't boot up and you won't be able to flash FTF again.

[Q] Bootloader unlock impossible?

Hi guys, my new Z3 has just arrived today and I am looking to remove the bloat. I went to the Sony site to unlock my bootloader but aparently it cannot be unlocked (using service menu to check). I am new to Sony products, does this mean I will never be able to unlock my bootloader? Is this caused by a hardware difference?
Thanks

Plenty about this on the forums already.
If service menu says "bootloader unlock allowed: no"
You can't do anything.

Can someone clearify to me what i lose or what dont work if i unlock my bootloader and root my Z3... Some camera elements dont work? I lose TA and DRM things? What else? Now i have rooted Note 4 without losing anything (okay, Knox but i dont even need it) but i havent never unlock Sony Xperia Devices and i can't live without root.

Help a Xperia noob out with some questions please :L

So this is my first xperia device since the Xperia Arc was released way back when, and I have been using HTC phones. Which are WAY different in terms of Rooting / Unlocking / Etc.
So long story short, What I want to know is what Can I currently do to the Xperia Z5? I see there's no custom ROM's yet which is expected , but I see mixed results about unlocked BootLoader & Root , the main thread says that a bootloader hasn't been achieved, yet there's a few root methods which have been successfully completed , requiring an unlocked bootloader, so naturally you could see the confusion..... Can someone point a SONY noob towards the right direction in terms of bootloader unlock / rooting? Running the E6653 ( not sure if there's variants )
Basically you currently need to unlock the bootloader to to get root. And doing so loses some features which u may possibly never get back. So most people are currently waiting for another way around to be figured out

My heart literally dropped as I read this..... Because I already unlocked the bootloader. I'm assuming it's the bootloader unlocking that destroys some features? If so , which ones?
And how can I tell if they were actually destroyed / bootloader unlock actually worked
Unlocking the bootloader on Xperias will delete the device's DRM keys. These keys are unique per device and once gone are gone forever. They're needed for Image enhancements like X-Reality/Bravia/Super-Vivid and some camera features too - low light and noise reduction algorithms I think. Sound improvements (ClearAudio+...) too.

Well crap lol, is there any way to actually make sure that the DRM's were deleted or if the bootloader unlock was actually successful? I still have a few days to swap the phone out if anything goes wrong ( Bell wouldn't be able to tell a bootloader unlock ) , I haven't had enough play time with the phone before the process to actually see a difference with the camera, I read somewhere that if TrackID works, than it's not unlocked, is that true?

Unlock bootloader

So I want to unlock my bootloader and I noticed it can't be selected on Sony website. Do I click the xz or what do I do?
unlock
you can select XZ
it works with XZs
Thanks. Gonna give it a go
Hi guys, its a silly question...do we still lose DRM keys when unlocking bootloader? Like with Z series?
Sony provides the ability to unlock the bootloader of the XZs on their website... If I do so, without doing any other changes, will this result to losing DRM keys or whatever else that's important? Hope anyone can clarify, thanks.

i really want someone to try this to save drm keys
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xzs/how-to/dirty-trick-t3759905
i don't have xzs in my country otherwise i would have tried my self!
xzs is basically XZ so if android 6 of xz can be flashed on xzs before unlocking bootloader and then running dirtycow script!... iam 99% sure it will work! both always run on same buildnumbers and kernel versions!

Still no ROOT for locked XZ Premium??

Is there still no rooting options for locked bootloader??
Any other phones have been hacked and got root capability...
No. Pretty sure all phones from the Z5 need to have the bootloader unlocked.
All 64-bit devices Xperia Z3+/Z4 and onwards all require an unlocked bootloader for root. The real question you should be asking is... Can we get a DRM backup? With a DRM backup we can unlock and relock the bootloader as and when we want. Without DRM keys backup we can't relock the bootloader from my understanding. Thats the closest we can get to locked bootloader root unfortunately.
hm... too bad..
Yeah don't want to unlock unless there is a way to get the DRM key backup.
Not risking my warranty just yet.
