[Q] Trying to enable PS4 remote play on my Nexus 10 - General Questions and Answers

First of all as Its my first post
Hello World
Ok so I have been following and using the instructions on one of the dev forum posts on enabling PS4 remote play on most Android devices. (Posted here as it wont let me post in the thread)
Some of the posts definatly assume a level of android knowledge that I pretty sure I don't possess (which is perfectly reasonable this is a dev forum after all).
So... I have successfully rooted my nexus 10 ( or at least I followed the you tube tutorial and the root checker app gave me a thumbs up) however when I am attempting to save files into system folder as per the instructions on the forum post I am being advised they are read only folders. I am utilising a root file manager downloaded from play but I also attempted to move them via the file manager in the recovery system.
How do I change this / what have I done wrong or missed.

[Q] Google now on 4.0.4, Chinese mobile phone

Hello community, I just registered here and this is my fist post on this forum. First of all, I've solved many of my problems right here on this forum, and I am amazed how much you guys know, Not only that you are all gathered here, but your willingness to help complete stranger all around the world.
That being said, I'd like to ask you a question (not sure if it is correct topic, but I couldn't post it on Android development because i am newbie or something...)
I have phone:
e1808_v75_jbl1_5640
Android 4.0.4
Kernel v. 3.0.13
2012/07/27
ARMv7 (at least what that terminal said)
It is rooted (again, thanks to you guys) and I've been messing with it for a while.
I read the post about installing google now on ICS ( ht tp://go o.g l/Lw9mM ) and ran into problem when I was supposed to click "Install zip from SD" in recovery mode. because there wasnt that option. Then i googled some more and found out that i was in 3e recovery, and that I needed to be in Clockwork mode. I downloaded app called "clockwork recovery" and proceeded to enter cwm but apparently my device is not supported. (It also offered to setup it manually, but I had no idea what to do there) and I was not able to do it.
Then I tried GNow Handlebars, but everytime I click any Gnow version, it just returns me back from where I started and nothing happened (Yes it asked for superuser premissions and I gave it)
After that I tried manual installation by using ES File explorer to copy files by myself but I couldnt follow instructions clearly, because I didnt have same version of app, and didn't have same options for superuser. (I downloaded latest ES file explorer)
So yeah, That is my problem, I know buying new phone would solve everything, but I am really satisfied with this one (Not that I have money for new one, but anyways )
P.S. When I rooted my phone, I was able to do so with program made for a HTC mobile, cannot remmeber exactly which one. but if you really need that information, post it below, and i will try to find it.
Update: I used Easyroot ICS program for HTC one S to root it.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Trend 3 (SM-G3502) Rooting Help

So.. After a whole week trying to find a succesful way to root this f***ng phone, no success has been found.
I couldn't find this phone's section on XDA so I'm posting this on the general section...
If anyone could give me the link to the section, it would be very appreciated.
This is the phone:
Samsung Galaxy Trend 3 - SM-G3502C
Android Version: 4.3
Build Number: JLS36C.G3502CZCUAOD1
I have tried a number of on android apps, windows software, and even tried rooting manually by adb and linux. But couldn't have a single successful attempt or any signs of progress made...
Can anyone help me out with this phone, the reason I need root is because this is a chinese phone and doesnt have Play Store installed, and I need root access to install Play Store on /system/apps/ and give R+W permission...
Apps tried:
Saferoot
Kingo App Root
iRoot (vRoot/Root Master)
OneClickRoot
TowelRoot
A bunch of .bat rooting scripts
Baidu in-app Rooter
Rooting through ADB (everything was going fine until I had to access Ubuntu's Nautilus, to move the files to /system/ but the device wouldn't mount by MTP on download mode, and I couldn't access the files) link to the guide followed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2684210
Any help would be truly appreciated, and If there is a way to install play store without the need of root access, or even a good replacement for play store would be really good.
Also, I have 0 experience on custom recovery, so, If any developer out there could create a custom recovery for this phone, I could give them the recovery.img from this phone and modify it to work on this phone. If that's the way it works, idk XD.
P.D. I already opened a thread on XDA-Assist but sorry, I had to move it, I saw that every post on that section had little views and replies and I was worried that this would happened to me on that section to me too. I'm ok if I need to erase it from there but I would like to leave it there for some time if there is any replies.

[HELP] Renamed /system/xbin, lost root, no firmware for Mstar TV

History here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android-tv/android-sticks/help-how-to-root-mstar-android-tv-t3345397
Before you think, what an idiot, allow me to accept that yes I am in this case. And moving on from there:
I successfully rooted my MStar Android TV with "KingRoot4.1-release-20150703-for-xda"
After I installed busybox, the television lost it's ability to connect with WIFI but thankfully LAN is working.
I searched the internet and came to understand that busybox is the culprit. I remember it asked me to install in /system/xbin. So I thought I'd replace the /system/xbin files with a copy from another same rooted TV. I thought I should backup the current files just incase and (here comes the idiot part) I renamed the xbin folder to xbin123.
Now, I've lost root and wifi both. KingRoot won't work without WIFI for somereason and I can't su from xbin123 directory as it gives an error. I have tried setting path to the directory but that doesn't work either.
Any help in this regard would be appreciated.
Please keep in mind that the TV doesn't connect with laptop via USB. And I don't have the firmware for the TV either :-/

1. My apologies if this thread is in the wrong forum.
2.Not sure if my thread title is OK.
3. Am I allowed to post my link?
4.This site looks different and I can not seem find my answer.
Hi everyone, long time viewer first time poster in need of help. I recently deleted my system apk due to bad judgment, please don't judge. I can no longer access my system settings and with that the package installer no longer works. My tablet has been rooted, for a bit. I used the (kingo root) successfully.I do not have back up, I did find and download the apk sys files from a upper mod and now I need to enable via command to change the setting to allow installation of unknown sources .I do not know how to do that,. I am guessing that maybe that will FIX IT (crossing fingers). Any of the more experienced users know how to assist? I would love to have the stock rom, can't find it. Maybe there is a different method to do a complete restore that has all the files. My apologies if this is redundant request.
oh, I have already tried the hard factory reset and the system setting is still missing. I can't return, No warranty
Thanks in advance, and I can now stop the ugly crying.
I have the QMV7B ELLIPSIS7 4..2.2 rooted via KingoRoot.
thanks to (?) can't find your name.f for the link for system files I have.
I have a qr code on my photo albuma and my profile pic for the qmv7b system APK.
