Stock rom? Rooted? You can probably do it through a xposed module or flash a custom rom which has this feature.
I think the only way to disable the pulldown is to not use the default swipe unlock. Switching to a PIN, pattern, password, or face unlock will get rid of that.

Yep on 4.4.x that is the case.
I've noticed not on 5.0 however

I use Straight Talk and am tired of seeing HOME on my lock screen and notification shade. Is there a root method that will let me change this to whatever I want? I understand some ROMs offer this feature but I'm looking to do it on the stock ROM.
Thanks.
I'm using Carbon ROM. I recently noticed that the status bar is active even in the lock screen(even with pattern), I'm able to get in by using the status bar-like I drag the status bar click on setting and I'm in. Really am shocked and wonder how I didn't notice it before.
any one else facing this prob or am I the exception.
All roms do this by default. To disable this, add PIN, Pattern or password. If that is not what you want, add a 3rd party lock screen
Hi,
I had a ROM once, that allowed me to swipe from left to right or vice versa on notification drawer so I could toggle between notifications panel and quick settings panel (by swipe).
Do you guys now if this is doable with CM11 somehow?
If it is possible it would be with xposed, which doesn't work with art and from my experience makes the phone a little slower.

What you described works with swiping on the notification pull down bar. Not inside the drawer itself.
It depends what ROM you're on, some have it, some don't. CM doesn't.

Yeah, this may be xposed. Do you know name of the module maybe? I am trying to find it but no luck so far...
How do I adjust the options in the notification shade? Allowing use of these while locked is a big issue.

install xposed and use GravityBox or Xtended Settings

That requires a lot of work and more money.
I have a question I'm tired of looking for an option to lock the quick settings bar on the lock screen and also disable the phone from turning off without unlocking it
Custom ROMs have this feature; by default, OxygenOS does not.
