My ford touch sync / S5 - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I would like to leave my s4 for the s5
Looking @ ford sync website says s5 is not able to stream music and read texts as the s4 can.. wondering if ford info is outdated. .Anybody have my ford touch sync and using s5? Thanks

I am using my Sprint S5 in my 2014 Ford Escape with My Ford Touch. I do not have a problem streaming bluetooth music or reading SMS messages. Prior to this I had a S3. It did not have a problem streaming music but it would not allow the MFT to read the SMS messages.
I do know that the My Ford Touch in the Escape is different than the Ford Sync in some of the other cars, so YMMV.

Music sync wirelessly...

1stly id like to say android is such a brilliant step up from my old Nokia 5800/N95 but there are a few things I'm missing!
Being able to Bluetooth sync my music whenever in range of my pc was a godsend. It was just nice to have my phone show up in windows media player without any wires.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've tried web sharing lite which is brilliant but not as integrated as I'd like
Also, I recently bought the Sony Ericcson MW600 stereo bluetooth headset, its been brilliant for playing music on but ive only recieved one call while in use and the volume seemed to be none existant any clues as to whats going on there? It was such a pain to have to turn BT off and re-take the call on the phone.

i use TuneSync for wifi syncing with iTunes.
Works fine
Double twist was just released might want to check that out.
Yep I tried doubletwist the app seemed good but the desktop client is appalling, shame that but it also doesn't sync wirelessly

tunesync
I bought this last night (well, eventually, seems the Market's still being a bit screwy - it was hanging on Authorising Purchase...) and it's pretty excellent. Small free app install on Windows/OSX iTunes side, install app on handset, tell it which PC and which playlist to sync and, well, leave it alone. Works great, I'm impressed.
But im assuming I would have to use Itunes to gain any use?
great ;(
why not use one of those wifi file transfer programs?
i used afile and discovery to move photos and songs back and forth. doesn't 'sync', but still allows wireless transfer of songs.
I use TuneSync, the first sync is a little iffy (i had 10gbs of music to sync) but once you get passed that it works OK enough for me.

I didnt like it, but it works! High price, I would say just torrent it!

How to update AVRCP to 1.4 on stock rooted 4.4.3?

I have a stock rooted (4.4.3) Nexus 5 and a brand new 2014 Mazda 3 with the bluetooth and nav. I want to be able to browse my music playlists, and artist, etc. from the nav like I can with an iPhone. I also want to be able to view my texts, and emails like I can with an HTC One M8. However, the music over bluetooth with the N5 only allows for skipping through every song in whatever order they are in my music player on the N5. The text messages and emails also never load. I get a notification that I got them, but cant view them like I can with the HTC. There obviously is some incompatibility here. Any ideas?
--- Update---
Turns out the issue is 4.4.3 is not running AVRCP 1.4 which is required for root music folder exploring and viewing texts, etc. Anyone try and update to 1.4 on stock rooted 4.4.3?

I did not attempt to because it wasn't my phone. Never figured it out for the N5 either.

[Q] iSyncr not syncing a particular playlist

Hi everyone - I had a Galaxy S5 since it came out. When I try to sync my iTunes lib w my phone, all of my playlists show up except 2. I thought this was strange so when I want to listen to them, I use Google Play. Yesterday I got a brand new Galaxy S5 Active, factory fresh. I did the same sync and everything showed up.... except my 2 play lists. Any idea whats happening here? Thanks.

Sync Milk Downloaded Stations to S2 3G

I know how to sync regular music between my Gear Manager and the watch, but I'm wondering if there's a way to sync the downloaded (offline) stations from Milk to the watch. With the Milk integration on the S2, I was hoping there was a way, but haven't figured it out, yet.
