Hi there,
My Motorola Moto G is running CyanogenMod 11 (latest nightly) but for a few weeks the camera is no longer working. When I reboot the phone, the Google camera works for a few minutes, but then the app freezes everytime I try to take a photo, and the stock CM camera never works. However, Snapchat works perfectly fine.
Is there a fix ? Or is it a known issue that will be fixed soon ?
Thanks for your help, and sorry for my English if I made any mistake, I'm french
Hi,
I would suggest you ask in the thread of the rom you are using, or read the past few pages to see if anyone is talking about that issue.
I can't link you to the rom, as there are a few cm roms...
Post in the thread of the one you are using is your best option. After reading the last few pages...
Good luck!
Thank you. Thread closed.

Hi all,
I have flashed Vanir ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433625), all is fine, but the camera will not let me do photos or just let me make one before crash and forcing me to rebooti it.
In the creator's thread, I searched solutions and seems to change kernel is the best solution, but i don't know what kernel can I flash to solve this problem.
Thanks for all.
Hey guys, Samsung i9100 running CM since version 9 on this thing never had a issue now running 12, worked flawlessly until yesterday afternoon, the only problem I get is that Facebook messenger crashes randomly after 30 seconds of use... Happens faster if I stay idle on the recent convo list !
I've updated CM12 02/22 to 03/19 last night and got latest gapps. Still no luck, I had also previously wiped and reset factory data.. Anyone know a solution to this?
Thanks ahead
Mat
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. I think it'd be best to ask your question in the q&a thread for that ROM here:
[Q&A] [ROM][5.0][Lollipop][GT-I9100] CyanogenMod 12 [ALPHA]
Thread closed, thanks.
Hi all,
first of all, my problem is related to Moto G 4G (peregrine model), i don't know if (but it is probably) this occur with Falcon.
I bought a clone of pressy button (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2742665) and i'm pretty happy with it on stock rom, i can answer call with one click and launch torch with a long press on it.
The strange thing is that it doesn't work on any custom rom i tried, i tried with all available apps, but none handles the clicks as it should, so i assume there's something to do with CM 12, maybe it is missing some drivers that are present in stock rom ?
I should downgrade to CM11 to see if it's working or not... i'll tell you later.
Does anybody use such a thing and got it working on a custom rom ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you and have a great day.
Hello everyone! This is my first thread.
My problem is the next. I have a G4 LG H815 (Vodafone Spain).
I made a ROOT, I have installed TWRP and everything worked fine.
The problem was when installing CyanogenMod 12.1 (the version of the H815). Everything worked as it had to work but I did not like the camera. So try to re-stock. So I installed a new ROM which is Android 6.0.
This ROM works "fine" but the videos are slow and the audio is not working. When someone calls me the phone dont sound, only vibration. And no audio in music and videos or any other app, i think its the system, because I don't have any audio with my headphones. Also if I install CM12.1 again, everything works slow and the app's close randomly.
You know that I can do? Tell me if you need more information.
Sorry for my English.
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
At first, read the threads to check if other users have the same issues.
If not, try a new clean flash.
Hi everyone,
New in town and wanted to ask some questions .
I'm thinking of updating my i9100 with the latest snapshot (stable as it goes) of cm 12.1 from the cyanogenmod guys.
1. Is there anyone that can guide me through any known issues/bugs related to this version of cm and this specific device?
2. Secondly, i looked through the internet and most people say that the only negative about this rom is the camera app (google camera i presume...). They say that the quality of the pictures is far less than the samsung stock camera. Is this true? And if yes, is there not a possibility to install another camera app (point me to one if you please) in the cm rom instead of using the cm google camera? Or maybe you could point me to the exact stock samsung camera app of 4.1.2 that i currently own and install it after the update...?
Thanks in advance. Looking forward for your answers.

1. for questions like this, it is best to post in your device specific q&a forum. everyone there will have your device, so questions will usually be answered more quickly. look at the top of the page, there is a device search box to help you find your device forum.
2. yes the google cam is not as good as stock, but its not horrible either. i use it all the time on my nexus.
there are many camera apps on the play store, and someone in your forum may have a better idea of what ones work best with your device, but no, you cant put the stock cam on cm, it wont work. this a a fairly common downside of custom roms, certain stock things or apps (varies by device) just arent possible to merge into the custom software at this time, and may never be.
Thank you very much for your help. You're quite right about the device "specific" forum.
I will immediately give it a try there.
Thanks again mate.
