Edit:
==========
With Cyanogen Mod 7, you can choose which Gapp you need when you set up the first Gmail account, as a CM 7 user I no longer update this gapps package.
By the way, the gapps package is only to be used with CM6.

If you have already installed your ROM and have been using it for a while, you may also try this more convenient way to move updated apps from /data/app to /system/app if you have Titanium Backup installed :

or you could manually move the files with Linux commands.. both options, IMHO and no offense whatsoever to the effort put in to these packs, are better than waiting for update zips.. use the market as it was intended

Thanks to Carig for providing the above procedure

By the way. It's easy to make an update package by yourself!
Here are the steps that I used:
1. Download any gapps update pack
2. On your phone, update Google apps
3. Find your updated google apps' APK files in /data/app, copy & paste them onto your SD card
4. (optional) if you Want to immediately apply your update pack after making it, uninstall updates of all your updated Google apps from Market
5. copy updated APKs from your SD card to your computer
6. use any Zip file manager (e.g. 7-zip, a free one), open the old Google apps update package (the zip file)
7. Carefully re-name your downloaded APKs to the names in the update package (e.g. rename com.google.android.gm-1.apk -> Gmail.apk)
8. copy and paste your new APK files into the Zip archive
9. (optional) sign your package, using Zip Signer (freeware on Android Market) or using this tutorial:
http://www.londatiga.net/it/how-to-sign-apk-zip-files/
Thanks man, it's so useful to me everytime I flash a nightly : )
Thanks a lot!
Thanks very useful
thankyou very much
I would love to see a program which can work with exchange Group adress lists. That together with a nice email widget is moving me towards sense all the time.
Good Stuff! Thanks
what abt market?
If it's not already on /data, will this move it?
Prob a stupid question...
What if we already have GApps installed and we don't want to wipe?
Maps 4.7 is out.
Thanks guys, new pack is now up, including updated Maps, soundback and Terminal Emulator, rebased on CM's gapps-hdpi-20101114-signed.zip.
This update package will not automatically remove updates which you already done in Market, but it's easy to remove them. Just go to Market and "uninstall updates" to all your updated system apps.
I'm currently learning how to make update script, I hope I'll implement that feature later.
Thanks for your work, I'll keep an eye on this thread too

I prefer market apps not be duplicated in /system
Facebook 1.4.1
Twitter 1.0.5
Maps 4.6.0 (note that there is a system framework component/jar that needs to remain)
Street View 1.6.0.6
Youtube 2.0.26
Gmail 2.3
Android Terminal Emulator 1.0.17
Adobe Reader 9.0.2
Google Voice

Thanks a lot,
Now I'm on holiday so I'll give them a try I'm very new to Android development.
I had few problems with the Terminal Emulator, I can not simply replace AndroTerm.apk with newer version, it will force close if doing a clean installation (flash rom then immediately flash the update package)
I'll look into this problem....
Hey guys
New pack is now up
includes updated Google Voice, Voice Search and YouTube.
thanks, keep this updated
Thanks very much.

For those who use spice mi 495 and are stuck :crying: trying to update Google apps and are unable to install Google play services with error on screen showing incompatible with other apps using the same shared user id. Here is a tested and working solution.:good:
Steps :-
1.Backup all the data and apps u already have on your phone as we are going for a factory reset. ( To backup current version apks of the app use root explorer and copy all apks from /data/app and some apks from /mnt/asec/ .)
2.Downloaded latest signed gapps for Android ICS from here (49.64 MB).
3. Turn off your phone.
4. Boot phone in recovery mode and Wipe data/factory reset. (This is why you need to back up everything.)
5. Flash the latest signed Gapps downloaded earlier.
6. Wipe Dalvik cache and cache partition then reboot.
7. Downloaded the latest version of Google Play Store and installed it. (You can download version 4.5.10 of play store from here [3.69 MB] )
8. Update all the Gapps via Play Store. (Meanwhile if there are updates for other than Google apps you may update them too.)
9. Then install Google Play Services and done! :victory:
Note:- Alternatively in place of step 7 you can open the Market (Play Store) and tap agree. Then press home and leave it for awhile. After the Play Store is updated, open it and tap agree again. The new Play Store should download Google Play Services and install it for you.
I found the solution here
None or few of this work is mine, i am just collecting all apps/themes/tweaks to make stock-based roms look more like Android L and have more features of Android L.
Root needed for maximum numbers of apps.
1. First of all, edit build.prop, find "ro.build.type=user" and change it to "ro.build.type=userdebug" (use es file explorer or any build.prop editor)
OR
Flash already edited build.prop flashable zip in recovery. Download from here
2. Reboot
3. Download calender, books2, drive, keep2 from here (other apps not tested but working links for them are below):
4. Uninstall old Exchange services (use any app like titanium backup) then install Email, exchange services, fit, from here
5. Play services (download from play store) or from here:
6. Search and launcher from here
7. Messenger from here
8. Play music from here (suggested to update from play store)
9. Uninstall old Gmail from system (use titanium backup or any other app), reboot, then install form here
10. Keyboard 4.0 (read notes on how to install):
apk
lib OR Download this and flash in recovery.
11. Sounds (Flashable zip) from here
12. Fonts (Flashable zip) from here
13. Icons (Flashable zip) from here
14. Bootanimation and Logo (concept) from here (by me)
15. Install Xposed framework from here
16. Download and install Android L theme from here (Thanx Paras Jasal for fixing the theme and uploading and Yogesh Gosavi for re-uploading and providing this link)
17. Download HKThemeManager from Xposed itself and enable it. Reboot.
Apply Android L theme in HKThemeManager and reboot.
Well Nice thread, But How can you differentiate the Android L theme (HKThemeManager) Version with the Android L theme(Xposed Module) - Actually I'm in Confusion which one to Choose ? Your Version of Android L theme is Good but not as fast as Xposed one in my device..
dialer's dialed digits not visible
I apply the android l theme by paras... In dialer when I dial any number using themed dialer the digits are not visible... I think the color of both background and dialed digits are same (white) .. Please fix this by changing the color of dialing digits in theme...
Apart from this awsome job sir... Well done...
Waiting for update...

no need now bro, as we have official lollipop 5.0 .. cool
Hello,
I want to introduce my first flashable zip, wich is script for Huawei Y6 Pro, firmware B117. This script should work too on TIT-AL00 - Huawei Enjoy 5, and other variants of this device.
Because we do not have root, but have custom recovery with unlocked bootloader, we can de-bloat our device with one small 0.5MB flashable zip, wich only delete bloatware and backup it to /sdcard/hwroot/backup folder, from where you can restore it, if you need these apps back, or simple delete this backup.
If you have updated some apps on list of removed bloatware, it won't delete. But you can try, you can uninstall it as normal app (no restoring stock factory version).
List of removed apps:
From /system/vendor/operator/app
- This apps will install when you make factory reset, now no.
Twitter
Facebook
From /system/priv-app
HiCare
HwBrowser (after new update B117 dissapeared from homescreen, but stayid in system folder, no need it)
Velvet
From /system/app
Chrome
Google Drive
Gmail
GoogleTTS
Hangouts
LatinIME (Google Keyboard, no need, we have Huawei keyboard)
Maps
Google Play Music
Google Photos
Google Play Movies
Talkback
Youtube
If you need some other apps to add to this list, write down!
How to use:
0. You need custom recovery like TWRP or CWM
1. Flash file TITL01-debloat.zip like normal ZIP
Download
