Hi Guys Just wanted to let you know, If you can Upgrade your phone do so, i.e a Galaxy S4 is way cheaper brand new than the Galaxy S 4G when it came out. With the Galaxy S6 just shy of few months away, 800x480 Single core Galaxy Phones become really obsolete. Lots of features, will be be unavailable due to the old phone's poor architecture compared to the modern 64 bit chips, Community keeps it alive but as of now Galaxy S Models have been upgraded by most of the owners. You can take them to a local recycle shop and get a few bucks help the environment

He's right. You'll be bricked. Don't do it

Correct.. the galaxy s2 skyrocket .is a completly different device then. The galaxy s2 or anyother galaxy phone. Except tmobiles gs2. Different hardware. Cpu/gpu..... Do NOT flash anything from ANY other device on yours. It will brick your phone. Making it useless. And you will have to buy another one.
Read around in the q&a section. Where questions are supposed to be posted. You will see about 15 other people with the same question. If you want to hear it from more then a few people.
Some guy did it in the T989 forums. Don't do it.

No, you can't since the skyrocket uses adreno 220 and the I9100 uses a MALI400, you will install the wrong graphics drivers on your phone and won't be able to see anything. You will be left with a brick (recoverable brick though).

What will Supersede my current smartphone

I got an ideos U8150 because my nokia 2690 was only giving me a day and conking out. So I figured what the h*ll, everyone is claiming the ideos only lasts 12hrs before you frantically look for a power source.
I went ahead and bought it mainly because its a super flexible phone, I mean at campus we modded its kernel to turn lights on and off via wifi and it worked flawlessly since its OS is not proprietary. I had wanted to take an android samsung but most dont have much support in terms of customization and modding, those that do, have proprietary issues.
Anyway to get to the point I manage to get over 4 days with the U8150 as seen below:-

Now I need an apprentice phone that will hold this legacy, So "who will be my next apprentice?" . My price target range is $200 - $270

Good job!
Something missing here:
1. Direct switch on the light when opening the app (Much more intuitive.)
2. Change the level of light (Just like HTC original one)
Just released , port from HTC, that‘s amazing , although my phone doesn't have a light

Update from HTC?

Now I don't keep up much but don't we share some hardware with the desire HD? I would not hold my breath for this but figured I would share. http://goo.gl/LbztB
So they refused to do an ICS update on the DHD, but they will do jump straight to 4.3?
Riiiiight. Keep dreamin'.

Sorry to be an asshole but why do you believe this BS of an article that is saying that the 2.5 year old DHD is going to get the update but the One S won't?
Never said I believed it was just a nice pipe dream.
Just to add more to this
android 5.0 512mb ram
So the nexus 5 will only have 512 mb of ram? According to this.
Well October is not far away can't wait to see.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using xda premium
No I'm sure the new nexus will have 1.5 - 2GB of RAM. I think if this is true it is more of a push by Google to stop the OS fragmentation. Older systems will be able to update and new low and mid range devices will all be able to run the same version of the OS.
OK got it
Hopefully I can finish paying off my car by the end of the year to get that phone

Aokp 6.0.1 for our beloved sm-n915t

Hello everyone, I'm really sorry for posting this on the development section. But I was so happy to find this on the NOTE EDGE DEVELOPMENT FORUM, I've been using this rom for the last 12 hrs. and so far no issues, so that's the reason I have to share this info, I'm sure other happy owners of the Tmo Note Edge will be even happier with this rom. Thanks.
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING..... NO DONATIONS, I'M NOT THE DEVELOPER, I'M JUST SHARING INFORMATION. THANKS

Right now I'm using Nobel rom with emotion kernel, it's running pretty smooth. Give it a try guys.
At the beginning the screen is gonna look pretty bad, like negative mode, but all you have to do is go to settings>display> and turn off Always On Display ( AOD ) as well as night clokk and that should take care of that problem.
