Very nice. Will definitely check this out later.

Welcome! And thanks for revitalizing AOKP in the grouper forum. I haven't used AOKP in quite a while, so will be giving it a go. So far, definitely like the new boot ani. I thought I recognized your name from when I had my 1st gen Kindle Fire. I was a big fan of COTR from you and Sblood.
I'm guessing that your OP is a template, as it states that the kernel is 3.4.xx. Unfortunately for us, grouper is still on 3.1.x.x and you'll get a lot of people very excited if they think that you've got a 3.4 kernel in your rom.
Anyway, thanks again and good luck with your new projects.

Looking forward to that cot

I am having a problem with my Nexus 7, I have complete access to my router and wifi at home, but my nexus will not scan for wifi. It shows absolutely no other access points.
Even open ones such as guest wifi, nothing at all comes up.
Is this a known problem?
I have tried some of the fixes suggested, such as checking the date & time settigns
and changing wifi optimization, nothing works
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!
I have Nexus 7 2012 4.4.4 kernal 3.1.10-ge44e9b

Notes/Reserved:
(Edit: Fixed the device repo already)
As of right now I have to disable CM's libhealthd enhancements because AOKP doesn't have that support added. This should behave as it did before these changes were implemented in early January.
First post! And first one to be rocking aokp 4.4 on the tf700!
I'll be loading it up tonight when I get home! This is awesome!

Great to see new tf700 lovin coming out..
Quick note about the missing CM changes. I will bring the multiple changes required up for addition after milestone. But until then I have to keep it out.

Still running smoothly, only problem i had was screen was not rotating but i only did that to try it. I keep my tab in landscape anyway
Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
I switched back to cm11 for now simply so I can have keyboard battery level displayed, but I'll be back for sure. It'll probably be taken care of when the missing cm changes are merged in. Ran great tho!

Will flash right away been waiting to try AOKP for quite a long time.
Only problem I've had running it is applying wallpaper. Swag papers force closes

This is the UNOFFICIAL build of HTC One M8, Build's are usually updated on a weekly or wheneverwefeellikely basis. All credit goes to Team Ground Zero and all their hardworking Devs. Team Ground Zero is built upon the willingness to learn, create and socialize on Android. Creators of Validus, a custom AOSP ROM with many features created in house as well as pulled from CyanogenMod, SlimROMs, Paranoid Android and others. Members are also dev/maintainers for other popular ROMs. Enjoy your stay! Also, unofficial builds from source will not be supported. You assume all responsibility for anything that may happen and Team Validus cannot and will not be held responsible for anything that may happen to your device as a result of flashing a rom.

Our Team has worked really hard to theme this ROM the way we like it....The CM team has to get their theme engine bugs worked out, we are just happy to have it in there to play around with for now.....

AOKP-ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT
What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

Great
I've been wanting a new ROM. I had forgone picking any MM ROMS because of the bugs and the fact that they all are based on CM. CM is ok but not great. Seeing a marshmallow ROM that is not based on CM is so refreshing. I will definitely try it out. Thanks for making this.
Edit: ROM booted yay.
Ok so the ROM is still CM based which is kind of disappointing. I was hoping this was purely AOKP. Then I noticed that you gave thanks to the CM devs so I knew something was off. I then saw the CM apps which are great and all but that just means the ROM is CM based. I am sure this is a great ROM and thanks for building it. The AOKP customizations are always welcomed but since CM MM ROMS have GPS problems I can't really use this ROM as my daily driver.

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, the Rom has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
With the rebrand of CM to LineageOS (LAOS) we are now actually LAOS based with some tweaks from AOSP.
You must have 64 bit twrp to flash

Have you joined the telegram group if not you should. There you will know when new builds go up bug fixes and general tips and fixes not posted on xda
would this ever get updated to deadman's lineage base? his has so much improvements that I'd love to see on this one..
Day 7-8 for me onboard. I'm stuck! Got magisk root, Sony beats, Dolby atmos, icewizard, Viper and I'm good. I extracted kernel from deadmans lineage 14.1 rom and I use it and I haven't had any issues at all. ?Also using fku, servicely, bbs and naptime and battery in waaaaaayyyy better once you tuned all that and got em adjusted correctly. I wanna go tweak your RR build now but I can't leave this. Why? So much of the customization of these old nougat AICP builds is hidden. I bet most people dont even realize it. AICP is LOADED with all kinda crazy options! I appreciate your work op! Solid build here. TKS!
Edit added 4 days after initial post:
Still onboard. Man this is a solid build! I have NOT came across and issue yet. Magisk apk kept crashing so I turned off FCs in AICP settings. Problem solved. Magisk still works fine. Thinking that's on their end though. I'm using cutting edge version. ? No reason for me to move. Excellent rom here!
