[Completed] [Q] Fake GPS Troubles - XDA Assist

Not sure if I'm posting in the proper area, but here goes:
I recently upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S3 to S5 (i have Verizon, if that matters), and on my S3 (Android 4.1.2 stock) I was able to root my device and convert Fake GPS to a system app, which allowed me to avoid having to check "Allow Mock Locations" anytime I open the app.
I have tried doing the same on my new S5 (Android 4.4.4 stock), and have successfully rooted the device, and converted it to a system app. But now it still forces me to check "Allow Mock Locations" even after rebooting. I have confirmed the Fake GPS apk file is in the /root/system/app folder but still can't find a solution. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi,
Here is a thread I found... Not sure if this is what you are trying to use.... But it appears it doesn't function anymore.
You can read about it and ask about it here...

Good luck!

Thank you. Thread closed.

[Completed] Wifi Auto On App?

Hi guys, Galaxy S4 (I9505) owner
Screen stopped working, USB debugging enabled but adb unauthorized so can not do anything
Airdroid works, want to backup my stuff but no data.
Is there an app I can install that will automattically turn my wifi on upon instal without me needing to do anything on the phone?
Any help would be greatly apprciated!
Thanls
Hi,
Not one that I can think of, there are apps Luke trickster that can do this but would need to be set up first, not auto on when installed. Maybe borrow a sim with data.
But feel free to ask your question at the general q&a forum found here

Someone may know of a trick for you
Best of luck!

[Completed] Need help un-bricking almost bricked 4.2

Hi. I have a Symphony Xplorer ZIII (factory rebranded from Gionee E-Life E7 Mini) set that is running on android 4.2.2 with superuser permissions enabled, with no problems until today.
Firstly, Play Store was unable to connect (over both 3G and wifi). Clearing cache, etc. for Play Store, Services and other apps did not help. Rollback to factory Play Store did not help as that did not connect either. Then I did a factory reset.
Now, on every boot up it asks for my gmail account as usual, but does not "establish a reliable connection to the server" and is stuck between this screen and the Select WLAN screen. Again, both 3G and wifi are available for use.
Phone is USB responsive, OS is working bar the connection issues. I'd like to perhaps install Kitkat or a custom rom like Cyanogen in the process. What should I do? All user data has been backed up to laptop and cloud, so anything goes.

Hello, it's me. I started this thread earlier but I found a solution. For reference:
1. After a reboot, "Not Now" was selected upon the prompt to add a Google account.
2. The phone is still rooted as before, so I downloaded the apk Total Commander and installed it, granting superuser permissions.
3. Using Total Commander, located file -> File system root / data / etc / hosts
4. Using Total Commander, opened using the Edit option and added a #
That is,
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.39.86.171 android.clients.google.com mtalk.google.com
was changed to
127.0.0.1 localhost
#127.39.86.171 android.clients.google.com mtalk.google.com
5. Saved file and rebooted phone, all Google account addition prompts connected perfectly with the server afterward.
Thread closed, thank you.

[Completed] Catch 22... after some stupid acts.. .HELPPPPPPPPP

Hello,
I got a so called "Lenovo K3" that turned out to be a clone... trying to get rid of some annoying Chinese apps, I used Uninstaller app. I accidentally froze a system app and found out I cannot unfreeze it without purchasing the PRO ver. The thing is ever since that I cannot install any new apps (I get ERROR 110) or even copy it to the system folder....
Another stupid thing I did was to restore it to "Factory Settings" chnging nothing of thr problem but loosing all of my already installed apps!!!!
I did that after trying to follow a procedure by someone who apparently had same situation, he resolved it by rebooting to recovery using ADB and then copying the "DefaultContainerService.apk" to the System/app folder
I manged to use ADB but once the phone booted to recovery mode I lost connection (USB) and nothing I did helped.
SO-
I have a Chinese phone not sure if the CPU is MTK 6589 or 6582 , 512MB , 960*540 ( I remember the details from when I had an info app)
I cannot install anything (Error 110)
I cannot connect using ADB while in recovery mode
I cannot copy to System folder (Permissions)
I have no idea which ROM I can use to flash it and I was not able to connect to it when it is OFF (Only when running)
I have no apps on it execpt some basic apps
I think it is still rooted if Factory reset did not change that
Mmmmmm any ideas???
Thanks!

Is there a way to get system configuration using ADB?
Since no one answers, guess my only way out is to flash.. and since it is a clone with fake specs, I must know exact configuration so I can find a suitable rom, right?
Still waiting desperately....

[Completed] LG Tribute successfully rooted and running cm 12, suddenly cut off from root access.

I actually have several errors here that I need help with.
1. Superuser is telling me to update the binary and giving me two options. Cancel and Recovery Install. The first does what it says but the second brings up an error message, which says,
"There was an error installing Superuser. Please send a log of the error to the developer. "
I click OK and check the log file, but its empty.
2. The file manager tells me that I cant extract the UPDATE-supersU-.zip that I pushed from my computer because I don't have root access.
3. The app Device Control doesn't register that my device is rooted and thus will not function at all.
4. The screen will turn on immediately after timing out. The phone isn't set to be always on.
5. The only way I can boot into twrp recovery is through the app Flashify.
If someone out there helps me it would be much appreciated because my tribute is my only phone and I need it to function
