Yesterday i installed CM11 on my HTC sensation and i wondered why i couldn't see the contacts in the contact list.
I mean the contact's are there but it seems that the font is black and the background to so i only see the first "capital" letter of this person.
is there any way to change the font colour of this app? are there different contact apps because i found that this app is to close to the framework or something to change.
Anyway i tried changing the font for only the contact app with font xposed framework. didn't make any difference.
also i dont want to change my theme because i love it
any suggestions?

Hey guys,
Updated to 2.2 and hated the stock messaging app so i made the jump to Handcent and was wondering if there was any way to change the color of the text entry box from the tan background to a white one. I know its just a little thing but i think it would help the app look much cleaner.

Yes you can, settings>bubble settings. Just play around with it and you will figure it out.
Yeah i have been playing around with it all afternoon, and looked at every single menu item in the settings and just cant find it..
I haven't found the option for the text entry box. What I found was that when you have the iphone skin you can change the theme to black which turns the text entry box to more of a grey colour. I preferred this but I wish that you could have a custom colour
Could you just edit the color of the window in the .apk or theme the app itself? I found a thread on another forum where someone themed the app itself to make the text entry window white as well as look more like the stock messaging app
A quick question for any advanced themers out there...
I am working on a custom theme for the AOSP Messaging application. I have successfully edited everything in the app EXCEPT for the holo background, which I would like to change. Specifically I want to make the Holo gradient disappear and instead have a solid color that I define. Is it possible to set the background of the APK without having to change the framework-res.apk? If so, how can I do it?

I was only able to change the background by changing the png in framework-res. That's the place I think it gets it from. It took me a while to theme the Mms.apk the way I wanted to. That was before the developers for CM made it more themer friendly in recent builds. I changed a lot of stuff around in layouts that's now located all in colors.xml.
Hello guys,I manually updated to CM12 (Non-rooted) and i found there are some things which need to be changed but couldnt find it in any themes! I also changes to "Blue ice" and "dark material" but there were no change in app drawer BG instead my contacts were vanished as ghost like text were not visible.
how do i change the background of app drawer since it is in "White" background,i want it in "transparent" or something "dark" like it was in CM11s.
same is for the contacts and keyboard as they are in white BG too.
Any Advice or Suggestion!

I am playing around with various themes on CM12.1, and suddenly I find that my font notification for gmail is as in the picture. I try changing to other themes but cannot get the default font color back. It is very difficult to read, and I really appreciate if someone can point out how to change the font colour to something that is more readable.

Which ROM u r using?
If u r rom has TRDS switch it off
And there is option in settings for notification Color
Where u can change notification baground, icon and text colour
There u can chsnge notification text colour to white and all will be ok
Stock 12.1. After some try and error, and finding a reddit comments, I found out that sometime I need a restart then all parts of the theme can be installed over the old one.
Btw what is trds?

Bug in contacts app 2.0.94.-73
in my s7 contacts apk, version 2.0.94-73 is stock, but with themes i have a bug, new contacts background dont change to the theme color, is withe with white text.
any options ? with new contacs app like 3.1.08-12 theme are ok but signal lost when i want to make a call
