[Q] What US Carriers will this phone work with? - General Topics

I am thinking of purchasing a phone that supports the following bands:
2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G: HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G: LTE 700 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 / 2600
There is a variant of the phone that supports the following 4G instead: LTE 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600
Which bands, if any, would work on Cricket Wireless (my current carrier). If none of them would work on Cricket, which 4G bands in particular work on US carriers?
TIA

T-mobile UK, will it work?

If i buy the Droid 2 Global from America and unlock it, will the 3G/UMTS work with my T-mobile UK sim.
Frequencies are: My current UK T-Mobile Pulse which of course works fine GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 HSDPA 900 / 2100
Droid 2 Global GSM 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900 UMTS: 850/ 1900/ 2100
is the omission of the 900mhz UMTS band a problem?

[Q] Euro & Asian LTE hardware differences?

I noticed that there are differences in the radio frequencies used between the Euro and Asian LTE C525U HTC One SV's as follows:
2G Network
GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network
HSDPA 900 / 1900 / 2100 (Europe)
HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 (Asia)
4G Network
LTE 800 / 1800 / 2600 (Europe)
LTE 1800 / 2600 (Asia)
What I was wondering are these difference actually in the hardware between the 2 models or is it just software or ROM that is on them. Such that if you had the Asian model and you were in Europe could you just flash the European LTE RUU and then have the EU frequencies on the phone instead of the Asian ones. This would be for an unrooted phone.

[Q] Will G Pro2 work on T-Mobile/Metro PCS?

Will this phone or a variant of work on T Mobile or Metro PCS? I noticed there appeared to be some spectrums missing when I look at the specs, but I am not sure if they were older spectrums that are going to be phased out slowly. Any help would be appreciated. I'm also open to suggestions on other 5.9 inch phones that would work better on T Mobile / Metro PCS.

Question about Mi 4i 3G bands and variants

Official site has
2G: 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz
3G: WCDMA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100MHz, TD-SCDMA 1900 / 2000MHz
LTE: FDD-LTE B3 / B7, TD-LTE:B38 / B39 / B40 / B41
But most chinese sellers like GearBest.com and almost all on eBay and Aliexpress have
2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - SIM 1 & SIM 2
3G: HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100, TD-SCDMA 1900 / 2000
4G: LTE 1800 / 2600, TD-LTE 1900 / 2300 / 2500 / 2600 (Bands 3, 7, 38, 39, 40, 41)
Are these different variants or do people just omit some frequencies? I am looking for one that has WCDMA 900Mhz like the official site lists. Is anyone able to test for the existence of these frequencies on their device and where did they buy it from?

Does the Skyrocket have a 1900 LTE Band?

From the [REF] 1-stop Thread:
Skyrocket's bands are:
i727(r) freg's:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100
4G Network LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 1700 / 2100
It looks like the Skyrocket doesn't use 1900 on LTE? Is that correct?
The reason I ask is because I'm on T-Mobile, and in my area, I can't get 4G inside some of the coverage map. I am assuming that I don't get Band 2 for T Mobile, which uses 1900 Mhz PCS. However, Tmobile also uses 1900 for 2G and 3G, which the Skyrocket supposedly supports. Am I missing something? Thanks. :good:
Tmobile uses:
LTE Frequencies:
1700 MHz & 2100 MHz AWS band 4
1900 MHz PCS band 2 (in refarmed areas)
Lower 700 MHz band 12 (in development) / in service in selected areas
3G/4G Frequencies (WCDMA):
1700 MHz & 2100 MHz AWS band 4
1900 MHz PCS band 2 (in refarmed areas)
2G Frequencies (GSM/GPRS/EDGE):
1900 MHz PCS band 2
