Yes, and I have this one but it doesn't contain services.odex like above, designed for Z1.
I am odexed right now, don't want make deodexing in haste and I am not sure what to do with this file.
Probably will delete it, hope phone will come up after reboot.

Yes. I got it. Restored system from backup, installed module from zip leaving services.odex on place, rebooted, made a picture, installed
4K-HFRv1.3.zip, wiped cache and Dalvik, rebooted.
What happened - may be information for others.
I've seen 4K video and TimeBurst in menu, I switched off SteadyShot but still entering either of above I got "camera not available".
Next step - went from automatic to 'manual transmission' - here it was better,
I possibly missed this point reading forum.
Now I see I can do full HD movie with 30/60 fps speed (didn't try, too dark here now) and 20Mpix pictures.
Tomorrow I will give a try and tell you how it ended.
BTW:
I'd trade full-HD for 120 fps.
Possible ?
Anything what am I doing wrong or missing ?
----------------
Added next day:
I have 60 fps HD. For now I can live with it, till day when I deodex ROM.

Yes, an I have it.
Just wondered why am I getting only 60 fps while around I hear talk about 120.
I simply don't have this speed in camera menu.
I made assumption that it may depend on ROM, that odexed cannot handle 120 fps.

120 fps only works in 720p + lower quality and is only beneficial if you use the slow motion, or have a 120hz monitor.

I need see an event in slow motion, to observe what exactly is happening.
All this happens during one frame, maybe four will catch more details.

[MOD] Enable 270 degree rotation in ROMs without it

With the help of Tibedabeeto and Papa Smurf151 you can now enable 270 degree rotation in roms that don't have it enabled.
- They found out what was needed to enable it, all I did was make an update zip and test it out
Simply boot into recovery and flash the attached zip to replace the framework.jar file. (reboot may, and most likely will take a little bit of time since Framework has been modified)
Then under display > Enable/Check the orientation box
Done
Attached pictures are from Fresh 2.0d, but it was also tested on Infinitefx45's stock rom.
Thannxxx!!
Someone wanna try the framework.jar file from darchdroid to see if it will work on a sense rom
I'm on my phone or I'd do it.
Darchdroid has 360 rotation
I tried that as well, but I couldnt get it to boot :/

I did not do the modding myself. This is the framework.jar from DarchDroid. I just threw it into a signed zip.
Was there any real mod work done here, or was the framework.jar file just pulled from Flipz's ROM and added to an update zip? If so, you should probably mention this, just sayin, as Flipz if the one who ported this original feature from the Eris leak that had this feature built in.
In terms of actually modding to allow for rotation, a search for 'orientation' in the decompiled files should get you closer to what you are looking for.

Edit 11.08.2013: 3 more animations in Dropbox folder, for Xperia J please chose 480x854 folder.
.
To developers:
You can use it for free but just give mi a shout if you are interested.

This is really easy, research took much more time than preparing it self.
On DooMLoRDs thread is a file called boot_screen_logo_creation_package.rar just use it to convert prepared previously files.
In my Xperia J files are located at /system/etc/chgani/. Check on your phone if there are at the same location or search for them.

About the .png images, do it have to be exactly same size as stock image, or can we make it bigger, maybe filling up the entire screen? Too much black surrounding it.

I really don't know. Converter available on DooMLoRDs theard and usage is extremely easy.
convert_image_to_rle.bat filename.png
You get two files .raw and .rle. Rename rle files from ca01.rle to ca07.rle and copy them to /system/etc/. And that's it.

I tried one of those and I had exactly the same effect. Did you check size of image? I think it might be to huge.
...
I checked it already and seems to this might be the problem. Maximum size on HDPI device is 480x854 and animation 2 size is 540x960.
In that case you have to resize your graphics and convert them again.

I love CRT OFF animation but it so happened that there was a bug in it.. the phone started to soft reboot after a while so i was looking up on XDA and came across a guide and I have tested it so far there are no bugs in it..:victory::victory:
I have uploaded CRT off animation for the stock v2 of mmx a89 so People who want CRT off effect on stock v2 can do so by downloading CRT_OFF_FOR_A89.zip from the attachments and directly flashing it via recovery:cyclops:
for people who do not want it on stock rom can do so by following the GUIDE BELOW:
Instructions:
*Assuming that you know how to decompile apks*
1)pull framework-res.apk from your phone which can be found in /system/framework
2)decompile it
3)navigate to res/values
4)open bools.xml
5)look for
<bool name="config_animateScreenLights">true</bool>
6)change true to false

8)download crt-off.zip from the attachments

Hello mate!
Every framework should contain a res folder and a values folder! If you can't find it, check if you have decompiled the framework correctly, try using the search option.
If you're still having trouble, try using xposed tweakbox (xposed module) for the CRT off effect.

You can't be sure what is causing that unless you look at a log!
It's most probably because it isn't compatable for the android version you are running or it might me for a different rom, and I have modded the stock framework for a friend he had a canvas 2 too, there were no problems at all! I think you haven't decompiled the framework-res.apk
Try using tickle my android for decompiling and recompiling its very easy to use!

You need an empty zip file to flash. download the CRT_OFF_FOR_A89.zip that I have attached to this post and replace the existing framework-res.apk with your framework-res.apk using 7-zip or winrar just delete the existing one and drag and drop your framework to the same directory
Put the zip in your sdcard and go to recovery select install zip from SD card and then select the zip. Then reboot

[REQ] SystemUI for Xperia E

Hi, everyone! I don't know if I am doing this right but here it goes...
I have a Xperia E, and I am so, but so done of that green battery that is useless and even don't tell me the percentage of remaining battery!
I flashed to ICS and modded the SystemUI, it was an awesome mod, with transparency and battery's percentage.
Why I changed again to JB? Because of better compatibility with apps (more recent) and a sudden hope that Sony will launch a new update.
So recently I had an idea, but my knowledge about apks is very low and I don't know how to program Java and XML languages.
I installed an app, GravityBox, that do the job, but it occupy RAM and CPU time.
If there is someone interested on this and want to do, teach or help, please tell because it will benefit everyone and maybe people will understand how Android works and maybe it will work like an introduction to modding.
First of all is the percentage, if possible I wanted to look like the screenshot.
I'm interested 2 if someone can teach or guide, refer.

there's no risk anyways...since your just editing the apk's ....(worst that could happen is 'no system ui ')
if you were tweaking kernels and that sort of stuff it would be risky...
OK good luck!
Begining SystemUI
So I started doing the battery icons, more like the screenshots, but now I have a doubt, if someone knows this please reply.
When I installed GravityBox the percentage does not change size, I mean the font size, and for this the icons should be bigger that the actual 21x18 pixels.
Now I am at the 36% icon, possibly I can do all icons today and compile to .apk again.
I'll do the tests to not endanger other equipments.
SystemUI testing
I have good and bad news.
The good is it worked once but with fails, don't ask me why because I don't know, I just followed the TUT.
The bad is that I got this "New Android Interface".

Well since I can't use ClockworkMod properly because I can't unlock the damn bootloader, I have an odexed ROM, but when I had ICS it wasn't deodexed and installed the mod simply by removing the .odex file, I think it would be the same procedure.
The SystemUI I modded is from my actual ROM, simply and for now I just made new SystemUI icons and changed the respective .xml files.
I don't know what I did wrong and why it only worked when I put the modded SystemUI on the system/app folder.

talk to nsdcars5 or matspunt about it.....
but first ...your bootloader...do something about it
I'll see what can I do, I have to call my carrier to see how much it costs to enable bootloader unlock.
I'll also contact these users you indicated me, maybe my problem is very small.

Unlocking the boot loader is different from carrier unlocking! If your status says yes it's completely free.
Please Google for guides, because right now I'm on my phone.

It's says no... I already have seen guides and forums about this and they say what you say.
Sorry for everyone, I did not have the time to check the news on my thread.

How did you make your stock ROM deodexed? Just removed the odex files right?

No! Don't do that! You'll just have to flash the thing again.
@Grimlock007 Just asking, since when do I have experience in SystemUI mods? Only time I did one was for my last phone, for which GravityBox didn't exist (*cough* Gingerbread *cough* 256 MB RAM *cough*).
New Idea
I got an idea, when I had ICS it was also odexed and I could mod.
So the steps for me were:
1 - Copy the original SystemUI into a folder (backup)
2 - Copy modded SystemUI to the app folder
3 - Reboot
4 - Delete odex file
5 - Reboot
6 - Done
I was thinking in a person who has deodexed SystemUI and if this person transfer to me.
I think it would work, basically I think it's the same process, even for modding.

i was talking about the .odex delete part (i think)
Hi everyone, again!
Finally I found something interesting with gravitybox.
The screenshot without the status bar is like the expanded desktop from gravitybox.
I'll take a look again on my systemui configurations and soon will dispose to everyone to use, see and modify freely and at own risk even if it is incomplete by my side. I want this to be a community project for xperia e and by xperia e users.
I still have two questions...
How do I make not expanded desktop?
Why nobody sent me an Deodexed SystemUI?...

[MOD]SuperuserMod for LP

Hi guys,
I spent many hours in searching for this mod with no success (not a fan of Xposed) so I decided, after I made work on Lollipop, to share it with you!
Please note:
this mod doesn't support opengl fix nor script to remove dex file but it is intended to use it with odexed rom anyway. I have no plans to continue developing it so use with caution. If you mess something you can flash the original services whis is found in post #7.
Instructions:
1. just in case, create a backup of your current services.jar (located in system>framework )
2. flash using recovery
3. done!
Apart from the lack of opengl fix I haven't found any other bugs yet, it seems to be working just fine. If you discover a bug or error that has something to do with this mod, I'd be glad to help you out
Odex or Deodex?

Anyway you should add a líne in your script to delete the services.odex in order to make it work properly.
Hope you did this services.jar following the tutorial to avoid breaking the OpenGL.

Thanks for your guide! I really didn't know about the OpenGL bug so i'll take that into account. Honestly I spent quite a time into searching and wouldn't post this mod if I had found one already.
@geabeack, it is for deodexed, that's why it doesn't have an odex-removing script. I also have no plans to further develop this mod, just wanted to post so there's one, but it seems there are a few already.
Hi can one of u send me the stock odex services.jar that are not modded?Tnx guys.

Here you go, you just need to flash it.
If he want to get back to stock he needs also the services.odex inside the framework/arm folder.
