Fondi PAD T708B Brick - General Questions and Answers

Good day,
I confess, I bricked my device and require assistance in fixing it. I should shoot myself in the foot for not making complete firmware backup
Background:
I altered a partition size and using adb fdisk and after the device reboot, my tablet doesn't want to boot. When I connect charger, no charging animation.
When I connect device to PC via USB, Windows still pics up the device for a few seconds.
Current situation and what I have available:
I have used SP Flash Tool and it can still communicate with the device, I just cannot use MTK Droid Tools any more since device cannot load adb.
The stock firmware is not avail for download on Fondi's website (although the firmware for the T702 is) and I emailed them and they only offered me a link to download the user guide.
The tabled has MT6582 (MT6582 S00) chip and uses a scatter file to map the partition layout for SP Flash Tool to "download" the firmware to it.
I've looked online for scatter files matching the chip but based on the info I have of the original partition layout, there are some discrepancies and i'm a bit cautious in using that/those files to format the partitions.
Before my tablet brick, I did manage to connect it to my PC and opened MTK Droid Tools which collected some info about the tab and partitions, and it saved the info to it's log file which I can still access.
I also used a scatter file I got online for the same chip to in SP Flash Tools to "read back" (rom dump) the data on the phones memory (all partitions) and have this 2GB file (ROM_0) and based on quick searches using Hex Edit, confirmed that it did indeed get the files stored in the partitions.
Requirement:
I need help creating a scatter file from using MTK Droid Tools' partition info in log file and extracting the info stored in partitions (using Hex Edit) in the rom dup so that I can format the tablet's memory and restore the data inside the partitions. This should take me back to the point before I messed around with the partitions and tablet should be working again
Here's the log file from MTK Droid Tools:

I'm sure I cannot attach nor print the rom dump as the file is about 2GB big.
If you require more info then I would be happy to provide.
I really appreciate any help.
Tnx.

UPDATE
I added ".img" to the ROM_0 dump I mentioned above and used SP Flash Tool's "Write Memory" option to write the file to EMMC starting at address 0x0 till the length of the file.
This took my tab back to the point after I changed the partitions.
The Fondi is now powering up (screen switches on), charging and I can get into the recovery, fastboot mode and normal boot. Only thing is it is stuck on logo during normal mode. I believe this is due to partition changes.
I'm now looking for a way to reverse the partition changes I made...

[Q] Can't locate the Symphony W85 recovery partition

Hi! Good day to all,
I am new in XDA. I am Moniruzzaman.
Please help me!!!!
Symphony Xplorar W85 (Code name: l3356) Manufacturar: Symphony
I want to flash my CWM touch recovery img to my phone. but I couldn't find the recovery partition
I've rooted my phone using framaroot 1.9.1. I have upgrade supersu and installed supersu pro 1.94
I've dumped my stock boot.img and stock recovery.img using dd command dd if=/dev/bootimg of=/mnt/sdcard/boot.img [3.6 GB in size] and dd if=/dev/recovery of=/mnt/sdcard/recovery.img [3.6 GB in size also] respectively.
I've successfully extracted all the necessary file (kernal, ramdisk and other) from stock boot.img not the stock recovery.img and manage to create the recovery.img (CWM Touch recovery) for my device (l3356) which is 6.11 MB in size
I flashed it from sdcard using dd command again "dd if=/mnt/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/recovery"
It didn't work. I could not reboot into recovery. My phone automatically go into normal boot mode. Then I find my mobile gsm was gone.
After that I restore my stock recovery.img to /dev/recovery using dd command.
finally I 've tried to flash my cwm recovery.img to mmcblk0 using dd and it was horrible. I got steady hang.
Luckily I 've manage to replace my phone's motherboard and got a new one (as I've warranty)
my device /dev/block/mmcblk0 contains many critical parts of the phones file system such u-boot, /boot, recovery and other bootloader related components.
Now is there any one who can help me flashing CWM touch recovery img to my phone. I couldn't find the recovery partition
Details are for analysis. Please help me solved the problem...
My device (Symphony Xplorar W85) build.prop is attached here
Now There is no file named /cache/recovery/last_log in my mobile as it is new.

CWM Recovery Non Touch version
I don't have stock rom.
I have dumped stock bootimg which is 3.6 GB in size. It also contain the whole image of 4 GB partition of Symphony W85. So if you use dd command then it will copy the whole image to your phone. I have tried it on my phone and it worked.
Why are your looking for stock rom?
Symphony W85 CWM has already out on net [search google for "Mobile Solutions: Symphony W85 CWM Recovery" As I am new, I can not insert link here until i post 10 message.
Best of luck

[Completed] Fondi PAD T708B Brick

Good day,
I confess, I bricked my device and require assistance in fixing it. I should shoot myself in the foot for not making complete firmware backup :crying:

If you require more info then I would be happy to provide.
I really appreciate any help.

Hi.
You need to ask this in the Android Q and A section since your device doesn't have a dedicated section to itself.

[Completed] HT7 tablet - custom recovery not working

I tried to install the CWM recovery and root the tablet using MKTDROID and SP Flashtool. I got the log file hereunder. There was no custom recovery among the files prepared for SP Flashtool, so I choose and flashed manually several CWM and some TWRP recoveries without success. The flashing was OK, but the tablet didn't boot into recovery. I also flashed some recoveries in fastboot mode gettin the message "FastBoot recovery failed: partition 'recovery' not support flash". I guess it could be the bootloader locked. The 'Fastboot oem unlock' command did not work. Does somebody know this devices so that he can help me in some way?
Hereunder is the .log file from MKTDroid Tools

Hi,
I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device. You can ask for help here,
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
You may want to include much more detail if you want help. Details about what's on the device, changes you've made, what recovery version and what you did before your issue. Also, what exactly happens trying to use recovery. ?
Good luck!
Thank you for your quick reply.
It is an unrooted device that still has the factory recovery installed. Therefore it was not possible to make any relevant change yet, apart from installing apps that don't require root.
When booting, it shows the GOOGLE banner, so I think is some clone of GOOGLE Nexus or whatsoever
I followed at my best the procedure by rua1 described in "[UTIL][WIN][MT65xx] MTK Droid Root & Tools | MediaTek Android Smartphone". It works, but it doesn't return the CWD recovery.img file. There are these two error messages in MKTdroids log file:
06/12/14 21:30:47 --- ERRORE :No find KernelGZ
06/12/14 21:30:47 --- ERRORE :No Split Boot Image
06/12/14 21:30:47 Block recovery
Then, since I could not get the recovery automatically from MKTdroid Tools, I tried to install one manually.
The size of the factory recovery is 6Mbytes, so I downloded from CWD and TWRP several images and I flashed them into the tablet. There are two ways to flash them. One is by following rua1 procedure and use SP Flashtool, the other is by going in fastboot mode.
Flashing the custom recovery with SP Flashtool is easy, however it doesn't work. When I restart the tablet in recovery mode it boots twice, the second time it's a normal boot. I cannot get in recovery.
Flashing the recovery in fastboot mode doesn't work, probably because the bootloader is locked. However, the simple "fastboot oem unlock" command isn't enough.
The factory recovery allows me to do system update by choosing a zip file from SD card or from adb, so I could try to push inside the SU binaries - but would it be safe? In case of brick, I have the SP Flashtool readbak of the full operating system and I could try to download it with SP Flashtool, but would it work for sure? However, I would get SU rights, but I would still miss the Custom recovery.
Those in the "[UTIL][WIN][MT65xx] MTK Droid Root & Tools | MediaTek Android Smartphone" might possibly help me, but I cannot post there.
Thanks again and Regards

That's perfect! But you need to post a thread in the section I linked above to get help. ?
OK, thank you
