MMS "message failed to send" when second text or later is attempted - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Hey everyone,
This one has me stumped. About a month ago, while on a CM11 nightly, my texting and GPS started acting up. I tried to flash a different ROM from here but that led me to an "unknown" baseband. I ultimately ended up flashing the stock ROM found on this site was back on a 4.0.4. I used it for a few days and noticed that my 2nd text message to anyone would fail to send (as well as every message thereafter). I got frustrated with this so I flashed CM11 back on the phone. I still had this issue. I then flashed CleanROM 8.2 (last one) and I was still getting this behavior. This is with the MF1 firmware on the phone. I then decided to go back to CM 10.2.1 and sure enough, I'm STILL encountering this issue! I can send one message but the rest of them result in a "message failed to send" with an "Error code: -1" on the message details. I have a clean install on the phone now and would not hesitate to wipe again if anyone has any ideas or suggestions here. LTE is set under mobile networks. APN seems fine as well. Anyone else experience this behavior?

Talking to myself here but for anyone encountering this, you need to downgrade the firmware/baseband to MB1. I flashed that, wiped the phone, reinstalled AOSP and they appear to be working now.
My dialog with others is found here: Constantly losing reception/texts not going through!

[Q] Nexus S 4G 4.0.4 issues with radio

So I've been trying to upgrade my phones from a custom ROM to the official 4.0.4 releases on Nexus S 4G. So I flashed the IMM76D signed zip (flashable one) and got it working. A bit after this, I noticed that I wasn't getting SMS messages. I'm not going to bore you guys with a backstory, so I'm just going to say what I did.
I used "SMSC Updates" found on the Cyanogenmod Wiki to update my SMSC settings (tried all of the following numbers: 07918188561627F7, 07917140140000F0) after seeing it as a suggestion somewhere else about SMS issues. I re-flashed the radio (the new one that released with 4.0.4), and I still cannot get it to work.
I've tried several ROMs, too. Un-rooted, re-rooted, had problems with recovery (solved those, though), and re-rooted again. Also, attempting to use 4G settings crashes the phone.
Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should do? As far as I know, I'm able to send SMS, but not receive. Could this be a Sprint issue?
Thanks.

When you say new radio, do you mean LC1? I have had that radio for a week and all is good. If I were you I'd take a screenshot of my current setup and post it on here. I would try to, if you haven't already updating Prl and Profile and call Sprint and get them to reprovision your phone.
Hope you get it fixed soon. Sorry I couldn't be of more help..

Have you resolved your SMS issue?
My wife's S4G is doing the same thing after OTA: can't send, only receive SMS. MMS, on the other hand, are fine.
I've also tried the mentioned CM SMSC update, did not work; tried (*#*#72786#*#*) re-provision, but no luck.
Running out of ideas...
Just a follow up:
I installed Go_SMS, un-installed Handcent, and SMS started working!

[Q] error messages

keep on getting a message flashed up on my tab2 which reads:
unfortunatly the process android.process.acore has stopped.
any idea what i can do to stop this?
i had a bit of a nightmare last week and had to restore stock firmware but installed 5113 rom onto a 5110 tab,all was running good but i decided to install the right 5110 rom onto it.
all ran well thru odin and it all passed.after rebooting the update ran thru and it started up with the unfortunate messages.
any idea on what i can do to sort this?
ROM is just unstable, switching to another ROM should solve your problems.

Not getting sms unless I restart my phone

Hey guys so my phone doesn't send or receive texts/calls unless I restart it then I will be able to for a little then not again
I've searched everywhere and I've also tried different roms but same problem
Any suggestions?
Right now I'm running paranoid android btw
Weird issue. Wipe and Odin stock. Then ics, then jb. Then reflash twrp. If that doesn't work its a hardware issue

[Q] HELP! Galaxy S3 (i535) Stuck in roaming after root attempt, tried everything...

First, I'd like to say that I have seen other threads on this topic and tried but failed.
I've gone through different roms, stock roms, stock radio, Odin, etc. I attempted to download ADB but it doesn't work on my windows 8 and I've just gone through so many problems that I can't take it anymore. I need help.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 i535 on the Verizon network.
It started with me trying to root my phone
I used the Odin method and CM 10.1 with Clockwork mod.
Phone booted up and everything and had Superuser but kept getting errors about process.android failing/closing as well as other processes.
I needed Gapps so I tried to flash the one for CM 10.1 and the installation when I boot it up would always fail due to network error. It showed up every reboot so to get rid of the endless failing I tried to change the rom in recovery.
Changing to Synergy Mod
As I went through the installer for Synergy, everytime it got to the wiping data/cache portion it rebooted the phone and failed to install.
BUT, when I went back to CM 10.1 the Gapps screen had finally vanished.
At this point
I had signal but could not send out texts or calls and I had no data connectivity.
Stock Attempts
Tried multiple attempts on this site as well as others, mostly having to use Odin. As of now, I'm in Android 4.0.4 stock rom and recovery with call/text ability, stuck in roaming (little R/triangle above bars), Google Play not opening, and no ability to update software due to no network connection.
Please, I don't know what else to do. I'm going insane and am losing hope, I need the help of you beautiful people.
I'm in the Air Force and it's hard to spend this much time trying to fix this issue, a lot of things are tied to my phone with it being my only communication. I'm okay with rooting my phone again but I need to get the 4G data working first. Thank you in advance.
I'll try anything, even if I have before, and i'll post the results. Any help is appreciated.
If you're completely stock on 4.0.4 try reprovisioning your phone. Open dialer and type this *2767*3855#

[CM14] Cell Signal can't connect, turns off immediatly after trying to reconnect

This is consistent across every CM14 ROM I've flashed. I am upgrading from CM13.
The signal bar at the top is blank as in "no service", it attempts to reconnect and show a signal for a split second but then goes back to "no service" again. When I remove my SIM card and reboot the problem simply vanishes, but of course I can't get LTE
Firmware: PCA
Recovery: TWRP 3.0.1.0
I have tried running the ROM stock with no data restore and I have tried flashing APN settings from this post.
I at first thought it was a CM14 bug but then I read that others had no problems with CM14 ROMs.
Assuming you actually have a SM-G900P (since a lot of people ignore that little detail) it's probably a matter of Cm14/14.1 doesn't appear to be wholly happy with anything other than the latest baseband, which is now PK1. To get it, just reflash to stock with Odin and then poke at the thing until it gets the two OTA updates that will bring you up to PK1. At that point if you like you can poke at the controls to update the PRL and Profile (just to be sure everything's good) and then let me suggest you make a call or two and/or send some SMSes to be sure you didn't mess something up when you tried to change the APN settings one almost never needs to touch, and then flash TWRP (or whatever recovery you use) right back in and sideload the Cm14.1 nightly and open-gapps for 7.1. Also, you will need to do a factory reset after upgrading to 14.1 or you'll get a wholly different set of misbehaviours out of the phone (trust me... I deliberately cut corners through multiple rounds of reflashing to find out what symptoms to look for). One of the more endearing failures can be no soft keyboard, nobody wants that.
I had a bunch of weirdness happening (including completely non-functional GPS) with CM14 a few days ago, and since the changelog doesn't seem to show anything addressing the screwy problems I had, it hints very strongly that people will need to update to PK1 before they can expect the device be reliable.
OH... and don't try and enable Adoptive Storage if it asks. The performance is abysmal for some reason (around 2Mb/s on a Class-10 card that otherwise hums along at 14Mb/s) and it will make any apps that are trying to use storage run like crap.
So people have it working on PK1? Has anyone had it working on PCA?
Edit: Odin restored PK1, it didnt want to boot after the reflash. I installed TWRP and restored a PCA Backup, updated PRL and profile. I flashed a cm14.1 ROM and still had the same issues.
It also didn't wipe my internal storage when I ran odin, which I remember it doing in the past.
Worked great on my S5 900P
Gracefully I got it to work on Resurrection Remix. Idk if it was the APNs or just more stable ROMs.
I booted RR stock w/o gapps, I went to enter in the APN settings using this site and it just magically worked after I entered in only the first line. It's hard to tell if it was because the ROM found out how to connect or if the first line of the APN settings triggered something.
