[HOW-TO][TASKER] How To Create a SMS Based Location System using Tasker - Miscellaneous Android Development

Hi Everyone.
Today, I want to share my personal SMS Based Location System.
I used Tasker (google play) to make it possible.
So, if you receive a Text Message with a particular Content, your phone will send a SMS with your GPS Coordinates to one or more contacts.
You pay every SMS, of course
Here it is the video tutorial:

I hope that this post could be helpful!

GPS Tracker (read from SMS messages)

Hi There
I have a GPS Tracker that sends out sms messages to my phone. I’m wondering if there’s an App that can read SMS messages from one number specific, and then import the coordinates into Google Maps, so I can track the GPS device.
Hope this makes sense
Thanks

How to make a real SPY android phone

Hello
I'm sure lots of you just allready though about this:
Make a real android SPY phone!!!
a device that could record calls and send them remotly back to you by email, log all keys typed, make a log of calls, and sms, record sound remotly and keep a gps location. I've allready did this with some apps (cerberus, total recal, sms backup+, sync) the next step is rooting so the aps can be realy stealth and undeleted proof.
But I'm still looking for new methods (mine are some how buggy)
please tell me your method, what apps you use, and the procedure.
BondJames. Bond
I'd tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.
Kidding, the only spy-tool I am using is wifikill, which gives me more bandwith.
wifikill, interesting...
maybe I'll include that in my bundle
thanks
It's not on the market anymore, so you might need to do some digging. I would be interested in a tool that would transform my droid into a gsm-blocker, but I guess that is impossible.
sorry... don't know any :-(
As I dont have a ftp to DL/UL files from/to my droid I use Sinc that is a 2 way syncronization tool to a dropbox account ;-)
i See this is kinda old but i would love to hear if you ever got a spy thing working.
and how you did it (what apps root no root etc...)
Well, have many app to spy cell phone, but i prefer to HelloSPY app. its satble and easy to setup on target phone.

Hello, I'm not a spy, let alone how to make one. I just used one, works well - iKeyMonitor android spy app, logs keystrokes, passwords typed, SMS, WhatsApp messages, GPS location, captures screenshots, chat logs, social networks viewed, websites visited... All these features are tested by myself. But I bought a 3-month license, I think it's enough.
Some apps...

Viber call record & messages?

Is there any way to
1. Automatically record viber calls
2. Retrieve viber messages
When I do not have root on that phone?
Hi,
This is an official member of the Viber R&D Team.
At this stage there is no way to record Viber calls - at least not through the app itself. If you would like to see this feature in future versions, then we invite you to enter our Feature Request page and post your suggestion there, or join an existing similar suggestion. The more people join on a request, the faster it will become reality
You can find it here: http://helpme.viber.com/index.php/Knowledgebase/Article/View/43/9/have-an-idea-for-a-new-feature
2. If by "retrieve messages" you mean to retrieve deleted Viber messages, then unfortunately this isn't possible since we (Viber) don't keep our users' chat history in our servers, as we respect user privacy. In order to prevent this from happening, we now offer the "Export Message History" option in Viber's settings, so users can backup their message history in their emails.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me again
Regards,
the Viber Team.
third party apps ??
it is possible though third party apps ? if yes so which one ???
How to transfer viber messages to new phone (android)
I just migrated to a Samsung Notes 3 from Notes 2, is it possible to migrate the viber messages as well, as in Whatsapp the restore function was quite simple can the same be done on Viber.
Thanks.

Hi,
At this point unfortunatel this option is not possible.
It is only possible to export Viber's messages via email, but not to import them back onto Viber.
We are considering to add this option in future versions, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
If you want to record Viber on android or IOS, you can use mspy or Flexispy. If you want to record Viber on PC, you can use Spy Voice Recorder. You can download it on http://www.mysuperspy.com/viber-call-recorder.htm

Well it seems that both video and photos are saved automatically but not voice massages!
Is that future coming soon?
We are looking into as a future feature, but we currently have no plans in place.

Search App to send SMS via Webbrowser

Hi together,
I am searching for an Android app I can use to write and read my SMS via Browser/PC.
Should be very easy and simple and not oversized with the need to get too much access rights like e.g. pushbullet etc.
Would be great if someone would give some tipps for that
Thanks in advance

i was searching for a specific solution... found this post... figured i'd share with you what i've learned so far.
i've been using "sprint with google voice integration" for a year or so. it provides the ability to text via the google/voice webpage. but - while the google voice (full) allows you to use SMS, MMS, gifs / attachments, etc. - "the sprint with google voice integration" just allows you to do SMS.
so i was (and still am) considering switching to google voice (full) but it would cost me ~ $60 to get my phone number ported to google voice ($40 to sprint for activation of old phone to avoid losing subsidy on new phone and $20 to google voice).
i found this website which lists apps that you can use which (i believe all) receive the text on your phone then send it to the web and notifies you on the web browser if you have the webpage open. however, because i need to be able to send & receive messages when my phone is off, i think that the only option is google voice.

Tool to export WhatsApp voice messages to computer in chronological and audible form

Hello dear XDAers,
try my luck here:
Since a family member died, I'm trying to preserve the memories of it and extract WhatsApp voice messages in a way that makes listening to them as easy as possible - ideally as it is presented in WhatsApp itself.
I have already moved WhatsApp to another rooted device.
What I don't want is a chat history with "11:19: voicemessage....opus" where I then have to manually go to each file in File Explorer.
In fact, it's pretty much exclusively voice messages with a little bit of pictures.
I have now installed WhatsApp in a VM, which works so far.
However, I have made the experience that WhatsApp at some point asks for an update or stops the service if, for example, the date of the VM is not correct.
Then I have to set up the whole thing again - even worse, if then the phone number should no longer be available.
The best thing would be a program that extracts the WA data (however, e.g. by pushing an old version) and then creates an HTML file or displays the chat history in the program itself in a WhatsApp style.
In any case, the voice messages would have to be embedded.
It may also cost something.
With the usual suspects such as from Mobiletrans, however, I have found no documentation on how the messages are displayed or only documentation in which the voice messages were then stored in a separate folder.
Thank you very much
