Hello,i have a S2 i9100 running stock gingerbread 2.3.3 i want to flash official jelly bean 4.1.2 rom from sammobile with odin,do i need root for this?Thanks.

No you don't need root. Just backup your data and be sure is charged to min. 70-80%.

hi guys please can someone help me find the software that would root my samsung galaxy s i9000 with the following firmware 2.3.3 running gingerbread, i have downloaded some stuff but it says in order to use i must have firmware 2.3.6 and above please help!!!!

you don't need to root but to flash an adequate ROM as you said at least 2.3.6 in order to do that check

[Completed] Can someone help me with my old Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100M?

Okay, so I just started using my s2 again, as you can see, and I was wondering if my phone is able to get a more up to date version of android? It's currently at 2.3.3 and I have already tried rooting it and flashing a ROM onto it, but it just won't work. I see no option to update it and I am very confused, please help. I'd like to personally thank anyone that does help me, I really appreciate it. (I am new here)

I have samsung galxy s3, i back up data using samsung kies before installing android 4.4.4 cyanogenmod. after successful installing this rom, i tried to restore backed up data using kies but it fails as it is rooted. so can u help me restore my data in any other way.
The back up data are on my laptop in samsung kies backup folder.
