Hello I have here a bunch of Nexus 6 android lollipop Apps that I have ported to 4.4+
Root required
Flash as a normal zip
Do not flash along with ROM and gapps ,It will boot but Google Apps won't sign in
This is not a GApps package this is an addon
Enough with the warnings let's get to the candy :
Media fire Mirror:
http://www.mediafire.com/?indqrj8dmvreicv
Mega mirror:
Uploading...
Bugs:
Play Music forcecloses when opening album art on now playing and in general , so when playing music use the overflow button and shuffle instead (will provide a zip to revert old play music).
Every Google App will ask you to sign in , my theory is if the package was made as in update this wouldnt be necessary but its not an update for some reason.
Google+ may fc update on playstore if it does , you may have the old version.
Credits and thanks : @sykopompos for b10 zip
Google for The apps
Tested on PA , Aosp Roms not sure on OEMS
Separate Flashable zips Coming soon and hopefully bug fixes
I'll give it a shot in my Moto G 1st gen. Because I can't install the Google calendar with other versions around XDA.
Edit: Everything works fine except that calendar doesn't install

Do you have a calendar app in your system by any chance? If so delete it then reboot and google calendar should be there

I have an HTC One M8 with a GPE rom on it and I'm getting a lot of crashes out of GMail and Email. Exchange Services also had a force close when I first booted up after flashing. After that Wallet stopped working. Keep used to force close but recieved an update that somehow reverted it back to holo ui. Calendar is missing. The only apps that seem to be working right are Music and Google+.

Hi,

i have rooted Desire with AuraxTsense rom ... g mail is "locked" to the rom so i can't uninstall it or update...
is possible to have a renamed .apk (just like for googl maps "brut modded") so i can install both and then use the updated one? or where i can found it? tnx
I have this on my Vibrant but it still doesn't have the priority inbox feature.
I managed to find the apk on one of the Samsung forums shortly after its announcement - using a MIUI build on my HD2, and it didn't like pasting the new Gmail over the old one in /system/app/, nor removing the old one and pasting the new one - it was still showing the previous version without the priority inbox and so forth. To fix this, I had to restore the original Gmail apk that I'd backed up, then clear data from the settings/applications menu, then paste the new apk, then install over it from the market.
Native Android users will need to be rooted to do this, if it wasn't obvious.

You should be able to remove the original with Titanium Backup, then you should be good to go.
You people do know that this is available from the Market, and will update the version in your phone's /system folder just fine.
Right?

Apparently they don't... I updated it yesterday here from the market, although I don't use the GMail app at all...
The update is not yet available to everyone. TBH I cannot see most of the Google apps in the market myself.
This is just an opportunity for those less fortunate to mess around with it.

Hi,
I'm currently using nk111's CM10 build, but the GApps are not working. I flashed this package: gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip
After the first boot gmail was on my phone. I don't know if maps etc was on it too. But after some time I could not find gmail anymore.
Has anyone a suggestion for me?
Well the last time I checked there was no Gmail in the latest gapps package. Neither Maps. But you can download both from Google Play, so actually you do not have a problem

Ok that explains it But I can't find gmail in the play store. I live in Germany, maybe it's not available here?

I find the gmail app, if I browse the play store with my pc.
I think it's because of some license issues and google did not fix it.
Anyway now I have got my gmail back. Thanks guys

I think Gmail is named as Google Mail in Germany because of those license issues.
Yes, but I'm not able to install it nevertheless. I also can't find it using the Play Store app, but only with my pc browser.
I installed it using MarketEnabler.

You can flash on any ROM. You don't need to wipe, the system apps should automatically replace their stock counterparts. The data apps (google and other) are trickier, if you have a stock version installed you will probably need to uninstall it or end up with duplicate apps.

All apps are up to date as of two days ago. I'll try and update things as quickly as I can. I'm limited of course by the themers, since I don't theme the apps myself I need to wait for them to do so. Fortunately they're all very good at pushing out updates quickly. I'll try and do a bi-weekly update at least, if not more frequently. Because yes, it is a pain in the @$$ to keep everything up to date.
Appreciate this!!

I'm pretty sure this doesn't replace the need for the gapps package. This will just provide the convenience of all of your inverted apps in one easy to use place. I'd probably stop my apps from restoring so as not to have to uninstall the ones that will be replaced with inverted options.

Actually the first poster was right. This installer will ask you about installing your Google Account Sync utilities. Basically that's all the background apps and libs and whatnot that's in a Gapps package. As long as you choose to install that this pack is the equivalent of flashing a normal gapps package.

Is it possible to get this app running on our G3? I don't like the stock email app it doesn't handle contacts correctly with exchange.
I figured it out. I placed both files in System/App and gave them permission 0644. RW-R-R. Rebooted and Android upgraded and the Email was there.

I just switched to LG and don't like the stock email one bit.
Is that apk for the google stock email (yellow colored)? Sorry, I'm not familiar with AOSP, so idk if it's the same one or not.
Thanks!!
Yes it's yellow. The @ symbol on the LG stock email app is black outlined. On the aosp it's white. Hope this helps.

Thanks man!! I know I must have sounded stupid describing the yellow @ sign!! Actually the @ sign and the letter are both yellow. The envelope is open and the color is white (See attached picture). I'm just so used to using that email app on Samsungs!!
I read that the stock email app was available on the playstore, but I wasn't able to find it. I'm guessing I wasn't able to because I'm using the G3, idk!
I'm gonna follow the steps you posted about placing the files and tinkering with permissions. Looking forward to seeing it works.
Thanks again!

I have successfully installed the version above. The question is that this is the 6.2 version and my nexus 7 has 6.3 installed. I tried to copy those files to my g3 but the apk files were smaller with odex files. I just couldn't get it to run with or without the odex files . Any idea?

Will anything nasty happen if I just install them as a normal app rather than a system app? I just clicked on the apk and installed like normal and it seemed to work fine, but wanted to make sure there weren't any unforeseen security issues.
