Hey Guys,
as CM10.1 posts are flooding the two CM10 threads I'm opening a new discussion Thread here so that you/we can keep the CM10 Threads for CM10.
Feel free to post videos & screenshots, I will add some of them to the OP if you want me to!
I also would encourage you to tell me what works & what doesn't, please use a proper listing method therefor.

So the first question I got the 10.1-20121210-experimental and got no developers and power options Besides the camera and this issue, it works great! Thanks to all developers!

Voice search within apps won't work. (Any voice assistant) [Still able to make/recieve calls]
Lag spike once in a while

Quick setting menu can be a bit restless while downloading apps and trying access it. (Setting vanish and come back)
Hope GPS and Nav will work, hopefully some people can tests this out to make sure. While all of this is being resolved

I can confirm that the issues mentioned in post 6 cover everything I've noticed so far.

Fyi, I dirty flashed over CM10 and the camera app was present and had the new icon, it just didn't work. I thought it was odd that the new gallery didnt seem to sync to Picasa either (like the current cm10 gallery) because when i used the leaked 4.2 camera, the gallery sync worked great.

I can confirm that this workaround fixes (forces) headphone usage.
Also, attached some screenshot goodies for yall

i just did a dirty flash and flash the boot.img, and when it boots its stuck on HTC but then again when i hit the power button off, what it does is off but when i push the power back on, and hit the screen the buttons light up how come?

Because dirty flash is not recommended. Try a full wipe and you will be fine.

What version of TWRP do you have? I had the same problem and had to get the latest to properly restore my backup.

well now i guess i have to find a way to take that loop of cM its not passing no matter wat cm10 dates or boot.img

To get developer options, tap the build date 7 or so times.

only issue after fresh install, full wipe
is remapping of hw keys--no issue on other roms
if i chose long press on recent app as voice leaving short press menu
and long press home screen as recent apps--I get voice for any press of recent apps and home key
i can get recent apps to be menu and home stays as home
then no recent apps
hope this is not confusing and mentioned before--did look around
did wipe caches and rebooted
maybe only option is too reflash, but no recent apps is not a big deal as rom runs very smooth and I have my voice turns in GMaps with street names spoken now. street names were not mentioned on other roms for me for a while now--

forget it i found the problem ill wait till the next CM10.1 arrives

I'm reading the FAQ, am i good?
- You sir are the best.
There's anything missing? Gapps?
- Everything is included, root and gapps, no need to flash anything else.
- Please avoid to flash third party Gapps.
Does Cataclysm boots with ART enabled?
- Since Nov 21 release Cataclysm is fully compatible with ART.
- YOU have to ENABLE it in order to use it. It does not turn itself on.
Is Cataclysm heavily themed?
- No, Cataclysm is 100% stock themed.
How should i install Cataclysm?
- Do a Wipe/Factory reset and then flash. Strongly suggested to update to latest recovery.
- Should be safe to dirty flash new releases over the old ones.
Why there are multiple packages on home and how should i flash them?
- Flash Cataclysm ---> Flash Nightly Update package (if you want to have the 0day release) ---> Reboot.
- If you already have Cataclysm installed (latest full release), just flash the Nightly Cumulative Update (no wipe needed).
- Remember that latest cumulative update contains every single update from latest full release till that day.
Why can't add lockscreen widgets?
- They're disabled by default on Android 4.4. You can enable them in Security -->enable widget.
Wi-Fi Tethering isn't working!
- In Android 4.2+ tethered traffic is flagged so if your plan doesn't allow it, wifi tethering will likely won't work.
- You can use some third party apps.
I've enabled Immersive mode and now my bars are missing!
- Just swipe from top or bottom for bars.
My mobile signal/radio isn't working anymore!
- There's a bug with TWRP that remove/corrupt your baseband during flash. Please refer to the twrp team for a fix.
-Verify your kernels because this rom does not affect DATA/WIFI/VOLUME
Why Smart Radio keeps shutting down itself?
- To avoid loops, using the LTE or 2G3G toggle will deactivate Smart Radio.
I get error when flashing Cataclysm
- First make sure to compare the md5 against the one on the file hosting site. http://onlinemd5.com/
- If it matches consider some users are reporting issues with TWRP. Refer to the twrp team for a fix.
Can't select AM/PM clock style
- You can't select it if you're using the 24Hour clock format.
Show data activity on statusbar isn't working
- For data activity i mean the little triangles over Wifi or Mobile signal.
- They were removed, i've reintroduced them back as optional.
Vibration on call pickup/hangup doesn't work
- It works for remote pickup/hangup, you already should know when picking or hanging up a call yourself.
Hot reboot toggle doesn't work
- For security reasons it works only on longpress.
Volume wake sometimes isn't working
- When playing music you need to press both volUP and volDOWN to wake the phone.
- This will let you to skip tracks without waking the phone while keeping the ability to do so.
Smart Radio disconnect me on switch, it also takes seconds to reconnect
- It's normal to get disconnected when you switch radio
- Also switch is handled by the radio itself, can't make it better nor faster.
Fast Charge toggle doesn't work
- Fast Charge toggle needs a compatible custom kernel.
- Also you can't toggle it while already connected.
GPS toggle isn't working
- There's a bug on Android where if you disable GPS while active it stays powered even if it shows as off, thus draining your battery.
- So i've put a security check to prevent disable it when powered on.

Why the option to longpress home to open app drawer is grayed out?
- Unfortunately this feature depends on launchers, so actually is compatible only with Nova, Holo, Holo HD and Aphex launcher.
Why wifi is always enabled on battery stats even if i turn it off?
- Google by default use wifi for some location services even when it's "off".
- Go to Wifi --> Advanced Settings --> Wifi scan always available to disable it.

Nice job, hopefully a link to this is added to the front page of the Cata thread. Although it's not strictly ROM-related per se, it wouldn't hurt to add a question/answer related to the dalvik patch. Something that would qualify as being 'frequently asked' in the thread.

Thank you. I rather the dev work on the actual rom than to sort through tens of pages full of repeated questions.

Immersive mode takes the cake, it's a very nice rom but I've flashed cataclysm twice now and neither the home button or the quick toggles from the pull down menu work.

I had the same problem. I googled around and found this:

Run this in ADB after you do a clean flash

Cataclysm - Waiting for Location
Having quite a bit of trouble with determining My Location with this rom. Most notably with Google Maps as that is what I use day-to-day. Unless I'm not using location services to determine my location, I'll be stuck with "Waiting for Location".
I've enabled Data Roaming and tried various other setting tweaks to fix, but nothing has worked.
Using Baseband/Radio M8974A, However, I've flashed a previous (my working original while I was on stock rom) version and it still didn't work.
I've seen this mentioned ONCE in the release/development thread, but no confirmation whether the issue was fixed. I would guess so since it wasn't mentioned again. However, I'm having a hard time thinking this is an isolated incident.
Would it be possible to help me troubleshoot or forward a fix?

I haven't seen anyone really talk about that issue, so that's pretty weird. OK first can you make a nandroid backup and try flashing cataclysm completely stock with the stock kernel? Don't bother installing apps since we're just going to test the gps. It might be a kernel issue but i've been keeping up with francos thread and not much talk has been around the gps signal. Try not using smart radio at all with the clean flash. If the issue occurs in complete stock cataclysm then we have to verify that the rom you have matches the md5 of the download site. You can check this by searching onlinemd5 on Google. If it matches then you're going to have to try and see if the gps issue occurs on the stock google rom. There have been instances of people having issues with cellular reception and gps signal on their phones and it was proven to be a hardware issue.

Franco is a great kernel but once they removed the cooler colors I stopped using it lol. Now I got so used to elemental I don't want to switch to anything else but the color display app franco made is amazing.

I tried to reproduce it a bit ago but I did not get any issues. Tried doing it to two separate numbers within a half hour window and nothing out of the ordinary. Did you do a clean flash before flashing cataclysm?

Yes, I did. Cataclysm was actually the first ROM on my phone and still is after a month now. I only booted on stock once after unlocking the bootloader and flashed Cataclysm right away.
Just to be sure about what you did:
1. Call someone;
2. Someone rejects the call;
3. Make sure you're still on the phone app when that person calls you back;
4. See if the incoming call screen shows when the other person calls.
With me, I can only hear it ringing and feel it vibrating but the incoming call screen only shows after I turn the screen off and back on again.
Was that it? Sorry but I'm just making sure.. Will hate to troubleshoot if the issue is on my side :/

systemUI FC loop
flashed this rom yesterday. almost everything was fine till mid night. when i woke up phone was off. turned on the device and found systemUI FC loop. i am tired of this. going back to stock. is there any ROM out there without this any issue which ran at least 1 week. please let me know.

incoming call display problem
i have been using this rom since the begining and its the best available for moto g (xt1033). i have only faced one issue and that is ; upon an incoming call, the phone rings and vibrates as it should timely, but the display remains black for around 8-10 seconds and then the contact info pops up. i have tried multiple setting changes but the problem is still there. hope any body knows the answer to it.

you need to flash aosp kernel without d2w after this rom and your problem will be gone

Pocket Mode not fully working?
Does anyone else have a problem where pocket mode doesn't turn off the screen when put back in pocket?

Make a backup of your current ROM. Try. And if something going bad, return with the backup. [emoji41]
I'm going to install this version on multirom.

I think 10.3 don't have good battery backup..if they include battery saver mode it will be great.

Incoming call not displayed
Installed and found this issue.
the erased everything and installed fresh just to see that the problem persists on a fresh install as well.
I like the ROM and have found a usable solution to keep it but would prefer to have it working as it should.
I read a lot that this is a common problem on Original Nexus 5 phones, so maybe it is ported together with the ROM.
When screen is on and incoming call is made the melody is playing, phone is vibrating (if set to do so) and in the notification bar is a notice of incoming call. if pulled down there is an option to answer or deny the call in the notification drawer.
When screen is off and incoming call is made after ca 1-2 seconds of melody playing dialer screen appears with number or contact name and option to answer or decline the call. As it normally should be.
After trying many setting changes the closest to usable solution i have come is to enable Heads Up.
If you want to try that you need to follow this route: Setings > Notification Drawer > Heads Up. I set it to ON and it shows incoming call in a pop up when the screen is on. when the screen is OFF the incoming call appears as normal.
my phone is moto g 16gb with dual sim.

And another issue that i have come across in a fresh install is that Android File transfer on my macbook does not detect my Moto G when Developer options and Android debuggin (in developer options) is set to off.
Even the phone displays a notification that it is connected as a media device and in usb connectin settings i can switch between media device and camera. When i selct camera mode my mac detects the phone and opens camera/gallery window. as soon i change that to media device it disconnects
With stock rom it connected every time i plugged it in.
Am i missing somethin or is there a bug or that is the way it should be in this ROM ??

What exactly does the iPhone 5 and Halfbreed color profile? Because I don't see any differences in colors, when enabling one of them

The pocket mode problem persists. It detects fine when the phone is taken out of the pocket but when put back the screen remains as it is. Anyway this ROM is the beat for motog ,so I can work with the faulty pocket mode.

Dark theme like aosp
Hello,
I love dark themes. Any chance to add the dark theme in your build as aosp roms on this rom. I would not change this rom but I would like to have the option to change it to black theme, or do you know of any other alternative?

How to disable the second sim icon ?
Is there a facility given in the ROM to disable the second sim icon on notification bar ? Since I don't use it, and for now don't want to convert it to GPE.

I had same problem with Music, volume was too low in earphones, so jacked it up to 60 steps, and volume increased

Yes the sound is low, but here's what I have done to get it fixed to a large extend ::

In powerAMP, used pre-amp to 8db, selecting source to be tracks
But one problem is, i have to keep that background checks, it crashes when the screen is off, so you will have to enable keep service and wakeclock in the tweaks sec in misc under settings ...
But sound was much smooth in stock ... I could notice an immediate difference switching to this ROM, but considering all other great stuff you get, I would consider this much ... if sound in stock was 100%, this would be 95% after doing all these tweaks, so not too bad isn't it !!

downloaded this rom today great rom i must say but i noticed when i went to update my apps it gives me error [RPC:S-7:AEC-7] now i just wanted to know is this rom related or is this on there end please help !!!!!!!!! (a full wipe also)

Its a problem with your play store!!
Clear data and force stop play store by going into settings/apps/all and then reboot and open play store!

I just wanna tell the info after I flashed the latest version (v1.7)
Everything seems okay. Works good. FYI my phone is dual sim. Works both.
But the phone > setting (dialer setting) for me still force close.
I did 2 flash.
First no wipe flash. Second full wipe flash.
Both of them for me still force close the dialer setting.

The best one yet....
I have tried probably... 7 different ROMS and this one is the best, no bugs so far and fast as F*ck. Love it. Keeping it. <3

I'm sorry but please cmiiw.
I read somewhere in the thread that v1.5 doesn't has that bug.

Working fine on XT1033
Had been using 1.7 release for 2-3 days, heavy usage, no bug found, went back to full stock, waiting for Android 5.0 official release on XT1033 !!

With this rom I was the bug of the graphics, I come from lollipop, you know what I mean? , Excuse my English, I can give you more details before this rom install ubuntu touch, I stay in bootloop so install MultiROM and kernel pa_kernel, then spiritrom and to my surprise the bootanimation had no bug and wow beginning nor had bug, sorry but I am ignorant or really discovered something?

Navigation Bar
Couldnt find an answer to this - i use the hardware keys but randomly the on screen navigation bar pops up, also happens on reboots. I go to settings and its not enabled. The only way to make it go away is to enable it then disable it. Its not the end of the world, just seems to be an issue. Anyone have a fix for this?

i heard this before, a mod or something is causing that navbar issue. i can't remember what it was...

I have a few mods going so that makes sense. I'll post if i ever figure out which one it is. Added the navbar toggle to my homescreen for convinience so its no biggy. Thanks for the heads up. Thanks for the work.

Just a glitch on my side, my LTE tile is not working properly, it switch between LTE and 3g as I can see on setting but the tile is always in LTE off, anybody faced yet?

Yap! That's a known issue and it isn't solved yet. The tile does toggle between network modes but it stays faded out all the time!

if i use software keys, i cant find the 3dot menu in some apps.any idea?
for example in whatsapp its missing for me..i have to turn menu sichtbarkeit to always on to handle the apps..
i use slim on maguro and there the 3 dot menu is present

I have been running SlimSaber -bacon for about two weeks now. I usually run my One down to about <10% battery before I turn the device off and plug it in.
I noticed when I plug it in, the screen comes on (showing the boot screen) and stays on the entire time it's plugged in.
I tried to press the power button, it did nothing. I press and held the power button, that just caused it to reset.
Anyone have this same issue?

i think i already answered this in pm. anyway...i think i have disabled overflow by default. there is setting of it in navigation - hw buttons - overflow

it has been like that since the beginning. it's charging fine although you just see the oneplus one logo.

at the time when L was coming, there is no point to add theme engine in slimkat since it'll be redone in L. that's why no theme engine for slimkat.
slimkat bacon is using dpi of 370

New task switcher is growing on me I like how no option to clear tasks as I get OCD with this and clear them all the time when I don't need to.
Being able to change weather to Celsius instead of Fahrenheit, for lockscreen weather, would be awesome :good:

swipe down the lockscreen and you'll see the settings button where you can set to celcius.
you can use pinch-to-zoom-in gesture to clear all apps in the slim recents.
