How to install V1
Standalone installation
Download Gmail 5.0
Allow unknown sources goto settings->security and check unknown sources
Install and enjoy
Updating from previous version
Disable previous version of Gmail
Download Gmail 5.0
Install and Update
Installing as a system app
Download Gmail 5.0
Move PrebuiltGmail.apk to system/app and set its permissions
How to install V2
Clear cache of Gmail app and rename your old Gmail.apk to Gmail.apk.bak. In my case it was in SYSTEM/APP folder.
Rename old Exchange.apk and Email.apk to Exchange.apk.bak and Email.apk.bak. Those names can differ but should be similar.
Now copy here (SYSTEM/APP folder) the new Exchange3Google.apk and Email.apk and change their permissions to rw-r-r (like everything around)
Now go to DATA/APP folder and copy here com.google.android.gm-1.apk. Change permissions to rw-r-r
In SYSTEM folder find build.pro. Open it in editor. Find ro.build.type=user and change user to userdebug.
Save it and restart your phone.

Popup Browser with Resize Button

With the permission of gyebro, I would like to share the modded Popup Browser with resize button as a replacement for the stock popupbrowser in our JB note. You can find his thread here. This mod is to his credit.

* This works for both odex/deodex JB custom or stock ROMs. Delete/Uninstall the stock popupbrowser.apk with a root file manager or titanium backup then install this modded PopupBrowser.apk or copy it in /system/app folder with -rw-r-r permission.

Any possibilities for ICS Stock Rom rooted?? or any ideas?
thanks in advance
I haven't tried to install in ICS but the only way to find out is try. If it doesn't work, maybe you can contact gyebro following the linked thread in the OP and ask for help on ICS version. I would like to believe that most people would want to move on to JellyBean so I think most devs would focus development on JellyBean Roms.

This browser is nice but if you want to stay on ICS for now you can try Overskreen (which works on ICS but apparently is broken on JB) or Floating Browser (which works on both ICS and JB).
This worked great. Thanks for posting it!

I've never had a popupbrowser so I directly installed the apk, but it doesn't work!
I'm with JellyBAM, based on CM10 and AOKP
I installed because you said it would have worked with custom JB!

Here are some of the goodies you can found on Android 5.0 "Lollipop":
1. New Google Keyboard
The Google Keyboard got some design overhaul. With it's "Material" themed ui make it looks
flat and simple. Confirmed working on GT-8262, and to get the new Material UI you must go to
Langange & Input >Google Keyboard Setting >Advanced Settings > Color Scheme. Change it to Material.
GO HERE : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2796129
2. New Boot Animation
The new Android L boot animation comes with a new android logo and somewhat looks like a spinning
atom, yup something like that. I edited the bootanimation to fit on our device. [ use bootanimation.zip enabler first before you can use this ]
GO HERE : Download on the attachments
3. New Roboto Font, Wallpapers, and Sounds
The new Roboto font got some few character changes, Flash the font via recovery. Working on GT-8262.
There's also some strange new wallpaper. The sounds are also ported but i dont see any changes from the Kitkat one.
GO HERE : http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/themes-apps/font-roboto-android-l-t2794979/post53679525
4. Other Ported Apps / APK's
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2796000
This thread gives you Android L apk's, but most of the dont work on our device. Maybe you can use this
for theming purposes.
5. Misc.
The Android L also comes with new "Apps" icon. you can get it on the attachments.
use it with Nova Launcher, Apex, etc...
[P.S. Everything's here are not mine i'm just linking it for you. Except for the boot animations ]
Hope you like my post!
I tried it in GT I8262 and it didn't worked.
Are you sure it's working? Post SS from our device.
Thanks

[Q] How to change lockscreen icons?

I've tried to edit framework-res.apk to customize the stock android lockscreen on CM11S but after replace the stock version with the modified one nothing is changed on my lockscreen. Is the file I'm looking for in another directory? Any ideas? I've tried to modify "ic_lockscreen_handle_normal.png".
Which icons are you wanting to change exactly?

Keyguard.apk in system/priv-app is what you are looking for.

As I told you on the OnePlus forums, CyanogenMod is odexed, including the framework .jar's and the system apk's. Sorry mate, but I don't think theming will be easy other than using the Theme Engine

Ahah...you answer me everywhere You're right. I'll find a way deodxeing and than reodexing the apk or the whole ROM I think. When I want to do something like this I try and try since I win.
However, an interesting thing I've noticed is that the lockscreen images are not administrated by framework-res.apk, but by CMKeyguard.apk in priv-app system folder (that naturally is an odexed apk)
Keep trying...

I'm trying to change the lock circle on the lockscreen. The icon name should be ic_lockscreen_handle_normal.png
EDIT: Oh, thanks! I've tried to deodex the app, framework and priv-app folders, and after reboot it seems to work fine, than I've tried to replace CMKeyguard with the modified one but again, no changes. It's very strange...
Okay, I've find the solution: in CMKeyguard there were 2 copies of that icon in 2 different folders. I've deodexed the apk, than replaced the 2 icons and this is the result:

I really like the OnePlus file manager! It's nice, clean and functional!
I need the File Manager badly. But it doesn't seem to work on my Pixel.
It says there is another package with the same name. But I don't have any other file managers installed.

Same problem here. I'm not on AOSiP but using XOS . The launcher crashes instantly and the file manager cannot be installed because an app with the same package name is installed. I looked through my apps but didn't find such an app.
@innocentwoolf
Can you port them for other devices running Marshmallow, please?
For those having issues, I'm assuming it only works with OP ROMs, OOS/H2OS/Freedom OS.
One thing I would probably suggest is installing the previous version of the OP Launcher and see if that installs, and if it does, then try installing the latest version on top of the OP Launcher you have installed currently. Couldn't hurt to try... Maybe it's just wishful thinking of me to help you guys out LOL.

If your s7 is rooted, install the root explorer apk and download the S.Interner apk v7.0. Then go to root apk and push permissions. You can see 2 parts. In the left you should go to the system folder and entry in the app or priv-app. There, you should see Browser folder and see your browser apk installed. Now, go to the right part, and look sd card folder or the folder where you download the v.7. Then, copy the v.7 to the browser folder. You must see that the v.7 is name like com.samsung..... and the browser installed is name like browser_Vx (x=number). In the file of the new version, push on it and see the option to permissions and you must tick only the three options on reader and the first on writer. Then push ok, and push again on the new version file, rename it with the name of Browser like the apk installed (if you see the advice to already app with this name; delete the version installed and left the new). Reboot the phone and that's it. (Note: if the browser can't open, go settings > apps > browser > clean data and enjoy it)
Try also to post in correct section .. question and answers... There is a thread for this... Here are for mod and theme.
